Louie is an American comedy-drama TV series on the FX network. It is written, directed, edited and produced by show creator stand-up comic Louis C.K., who stars as a fictionalized version of himself, a comedian and divorced father raising his 2 daughters in New York City. The show has a loose format atypical for TV comedies, consisting of "extended vignettes" revolving around Louie's life, punctuated by live stand-up.

What's the episode where Louie witnesses something traumatizing/scary and then awkwardly meets with a woman on the sidewalk

I haven't watched Louie at all but I did see a YouTube clip and trying to find the episode.

I remember Louis witnesses something on the street that was traumatizing. (Like a crash or someone dying) And he slowly walks on the sidewalk thinking about it super seriously for a little bit. then he walks to meet a woman who's happy to see him and he has an awkward interaction/conversation eventually revealing that he just witness the traumatizing thing and that "it just happened like 2 minutes ago" and she says "oh my God" and then the conversation dies and she walks away from him leaving him alone on the sidewalk.

I cannot look it up or find it anywhere.

Subway violin S02E06 Subway/Pamela

Can anybody help me find the piece of music that the violinist plays while the homeless man is washing himself? I’m sure it’s a famous piece but I have no idea how to find it. It’s beautiful!

This is my life?

This is maybe the 3rd 4th time I am watching the series but this time around I am actually the same age as Louis when the series started. Kid of freaky how many parallels to my life. It still funny AF but it so interesting how deep this show is and has spoken to me differently every time I watch. Will have to make sure I watch this when I am older to laugh in a different kind of way.

Aw dude I was so not ready for the final episode of season 3...

I commend this show on its randomness and just everyday life stuff and its wonderful absurdity and sadder and darker moments. The failing in establishing relationships with the fairer sex and loneliness and such...

But fuck me, that super cool woman dying really hit me so much that I actually teared up after her "i think I'm gonna die... Louie... bye...?" I can count on one hand the moments that a TV thing made me actually cry, more times close, but actual tears... incredible work.

Man I love this show, despite this heartbreak just now

The “bang bang” scene from the show is maybe the funniest scene in a comedy series ever

I always rewatch and never get bored of it. Even today i was in bed remembering it and giggling to myself like a crazy person

This sub is bad man. At posting. It sucks. The comments, like someone typing with their asshole. But like their asshole aren't even clean, so like it's just slipping in diarrhea from key to key. Then your mother comes in and slaps her old tits on the mouse to hit submit. It's bad. You should quit.

Surrealist comedy in Louie

What's your favourite piece of surrealist comedy in the show? I thought either the garbage men directly dumping garbage on Louie's bed (or how he's imagining that whole noise) or him just straight up screaming out the window in the middle of couples therapy. But then I thought maybe neither even qualify to be surreal comedy. What do you guys think?

Anything Similar?

Louie is probably my favorite live action show ever, and I've not found anything else to scratch the same dark/absurdist itch.

Are there any other TV shows, movies, YouTube channels etc. you would recommend that scratch a similar itch? Doesn't need to be live action or have anything to do with stand up. But I do miss watching heartfelt scenes followed immediately by screaming homeless people.

Louie's Mum

So, this sub is kinda dead, but I'm not sure where else to ask this. I haven't finished the show yet, so keep that in mind. What's the deal with Louie's mum? In the flashbacks, she seems normal, like she has her issues but she's nowhere near close to the horrid narcissist she appears to be present day. Also, where is Louie's brother in the flashbacks?

Uncensored version of Louie vs Heckler? Season 1 Episode 6

Hi everyone,

I could have sweared to having heard an uncensored version of Louie distroying that woman talking while he's on scene in the 6th episode of the first season.

Does it really exist or is there only a censored version of it?

Just insane foreshadowing

I’m sure this has been posted a million times but I’m rewatching Louie and it’s truly astonishing how badly this segment has aged.
