In Raising Hope Season 2 Episode 10 there is a movie poster for My name Is Earl The Movie.. Is that something in the works that could be used to tie up all the loose endigs to the series and maybe reintroduce a possible spinnoff.. Is this something .. can. It be something , please, please please
We were so excited to eat our dinner and finish the last 3 episodes of the show we’ve come to adore. Honestly?!? I’m pretty upset. I’ve searched the web and can’t find out what the finally was intended to be! I see many things showing why the show ended so abruptly but nothing about what we were left with. Is Crab Man Earl Jr’s dad? I’ve got to know! Any links and sources would be so appreciated right about not.
Fallout
S2 EP17. I need to know, for research purposes.
I know I’m gonna spend his whole life yelling “Whooo Jackie!!” at him and nobody will know why lol
I just need to vent a little after a lot of people were recommending Raising Hope. This is entirely my own opinion but I don’t have anyone IRL to talk to about it so here I am.
I honestly think My Name is Earl was just lightning in a bottle. It was a fresh concept with an interesting look into a former criminal’s life. Whereas Raising Hope has the whole raising a baby the main character wasn’t expecting thing that’s been done in 100 sitcoms already. I didn’t find anything interesting or fresh in Raising Hope. It just wasn’t as funny to me as MNIE. I also felt like the whole premise of the show was thrown out around two seasons in. Hope was barely even shown or given anything to do, and the last two seasons became more about the parents rather than focusing on Jimmy becoming a functioning adult. He became a guest star in his own show. I only stuck around for Burt and Virginia!
Also, the writing was just all over the place. Maw Maw had severe alzheimer’s/dementia until the writers suddenly decided she didn’t anymore and was just a regular weird grandma. Sabrina was a different character every season. Especially when they made her an anxious mess once she got with Jimmy for no reason.
I don’t know. I just wish I liked it more. Maybe someone could explain why they like it? It might give me a new perspective.
He's got snake pants so he's not naked
Just had this picture in my news feed with an unintentional Earl in it
So what exactly did Mr Turtle say at the end of the episode right before the credits? Something about not writing in and calling people who do crackpots? Felt like a jump scare not gonna lie lol
I’m gonna assume it must’ve been like [No turtles were harmed] so don’t write in you crackpots! Or something about Mr turtle being alive?
Was it changed from the original broadcast to what it is on hulu?
Now, I will never ever say that Joy is a good person. I love how no matter how well-intentioned she is, she's still Joy from the trailer park.
But in rewatching, I love how she genuinely has moments of being grateful for Earl and all he's done for her. She actually apologized for trouble she caused him over the years, and is inspired by his actions to take responsibility for her own mistakes.
I don't know, I don't think Joy would ever become a truly good person. But I think she's a great example of how doing good things in the world can affect everyone around you (even if you're not trying to convince them to be better).
"What if we forgive you?"❤️
I couldn’t believe it when the owner told me they were $1 a piece. I love my name is earl, and to find the whole set was not on my list of things I thought I’d ever find.
In the flashback scene to Pinky, When Earl broke Randy and Pinky (Joy) up and Earl kissed Pinky and she kicked him in the ball, I wondered years later When Earl met Joy (before Karma) how come Earl nor Joy didn't recognize each other.
I recently started a rewatch and I had totally forgotten how many delightful side characters this show has. So far, I think my fav is Jessie, Earl’s ex-girlfriend that he left/ghosted for Joy. I had forgotten what a badass she is, and the fun teeth gags fit with the zany spirit of the show well, too.
I know the joke is that the "big" wedding is still kinda cheap with white trash elements.
But you know? The Twinkie and Ding-dong cake is fucking charming. Buying a cheap dress and customizing it is smart. A rehearsal lunch is actually a great idea for saving money, court mandated deadline or not. Getting married in a community park is way more common than it was in the early 2000s when the show was filmed.
Maybe it's a sign of the times, but it just strikes me that this would actually be a cute inexpensive wedding. It really is more about thinking than spending.
Neve heard anyone talking about
