SNL Power Rankings ⬆️⬇️ Season 50
Based on the average score after 9 episodes.
Scores for each episode are based on an original algorithm that averages two weighted variables (screen time* and appearances**) into a single value.
*Prime time (screen time between Cold Open & Weekend Update) is weighted more heavily
**Appearances are categorized (leads, supporting, small & offscreen) and given a weighted value. Final value is calculated as a percentage of the episode's appearance total. Bonuses are applied post-calculation percentage score for recurring roles and saying "Live From New York, it's Saturday Night!” in the cold open.

Minky - a simple premise taken toward absurdity
I'm in NYC tonight and doubt I'll ever be back. It'd be a real once in a lifetime event to get to attend the show tonight if anyone knows how I could possibly get my hands on some tickets.
I think it was a music video so probably Lonely Island era, all I can remember is a woman singing the chorus with the line "he's got bigger balls than even Evel Knievel"
Anyone catch Nate Bargatze's Christmas special with a spiritual sequel to the George Washington sketch?
Update!! We went to the standby line last night and our 259 and 260 turned into 106 and 107, what do yall think? Wish us luck!!!
Genuine ask. Almost every time there’s a post about a favorite anything, Phil Hartman comes up. As someone who started watching SNL after his tenure, I’d love to see some highlights of why he’s so favorably remembered. Thanks!
Just got an email saying I won tickets to todays show. Luckily enough I am NOT IN THE COUNTRY!!!! What do I do? Emailed them explaining why I can't make it and asked for tickets to a later date (in a very nice, polite manner) but what are the chances of them actually giving me tickets for a later date? I'm freaking out
He looks so uncomfortable and Awkward and like he didn’t want to be there. Is there a backstory to this?
Saw Melissa Villaseñor tonight in Portland. She was fantastic. Highly recommend you catch her set if she comes through your town.
Obviously, we all know that Steven Seagal is the worst SNL host of all time, but what if instead of Seagal hosting that episode, it would be Jean-Claude Van Damme.
I see this sketch “Jennifer’s Date” on YouTube, where Seagal makes the sketch very awkward and painfully unfunny, and I think Van Damme would do well with it because it would be a parody of Double Impact.
In the beginning, when Chris Farley’s character comes to pick up Jennifer, he is greeted by the mom, played by Jan Hooks, and the dad, played by Van Damme, and his personality is like Chad Wagner, affable, fun-loving and charismatic.
However, when Van Damme and Farley are left alone, Van Damme would switch to Alex Wagner, a cold, intimidating and ruthless man, but would switch back to the Chad Wagner persona whenever his family is around.
Now that would have been the sketch of the night if Van Damme hosted, paying homage to Double Impact in a very humorous way.
But the big question I have is would Van Damme be a better host than Seagal? Personally, I’d say yes.
