I loved this debate within Boss Co. But I have to side with Axl on this one, King Moonracer was NOT A TOY 😂
This is my first watch and after season 6 i joined this community, one of the first post to appear on my feed was something about sue and sean ending up married, entirely my fault for following media before iv finished the show, but i was loving it so much i wanted to know what other fans love about it, anyways im go of point, first showing up to be a date to every dance/ball/prom "as a favour for his mum" i was picking up on this "who drives six hours for a favour?" and then the SNOWGLOBE! this globe iv seen so many times nearly unite them, then Axle makes the mistake that sean is talking about Lexie, then im thinking "maybe someone was trolling with that post?", along comes "The Christmas miracle" the snow globe is "present","no little one, put that snowglobe back", and then the snow they are alone and sue is being awesome Sue Sue...... it happens it finally happens.... they kiss. I just wanted to share this show is ace and im so happy.
They seem poorer than they are because they are financially illiterate and waste money on stupid things. Season 1, when they win at bingo. They are told that their credit cards have doubled their rates, and then Frankie goes and spend the money on cable, meaning they pay like 80/month. I don't think they shop around and actually know how much things cost.
In many episodes, the kids ask for idiotic expensive things like jeans, library fees, money for expensive dates... they don't know the value of money. Sue has no problem spending other people's money on superficial things because if her parents have had the money, they would spend it frivolously.
They could live like the Donahue's but they make bad decisions and I don't know where it comes from: Grandpa Big Mike has his weird ways, but he knows how to fix things. When Frankie gives her mom the dehydrator, she compares the costs and tells her that the gift is a waste of money, so where did they learn to be this way?
I watched this show a lot with my dad when I was younger, but this is my first rewatch as an adult. I know that Sue ends up with Sean, but the prom episode in season 5 makes me so happy. Sean was only going to take her to prom because he is an incredibly nice guy and his mom wanted him to. Darrin wanted to take Sue because he genuinely liked her. You could see that he was truly upset when he learned that she had other dates.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I hoped she would end up with Darrin.
one of the songs from the show is a jam track in fortnite.
I’ve heard that Indiana is extremely boring to live in but their neighborhood looks poppin lol. I know the show isn’t actually filmed in Indiana, but do you think it’s a realistic depiction?
6x10 Pam Freakin' Staggs
Do you think they did a hundred takes until they got the shot?
Or is it CGI?
When I found out Neil Flynn plays Cady Herron’s dad in the movie Mean Girls.
Our local theater did a 20th anniversary re-lease of the movie Mean Girls. My friends and I went to watch it last night, and I immediately recognized Mike Heck’s voice and thought!!! Ooh I had no idea! Then the show his face and sure enough, Mr. Herron and Mike Heck are played by the same guy!
Did the show use a lot of “my name is earl” set? I’m on S5e23 and the trailer park people were on Earl, patty the day time hooker and the guy who was making a rocket in his apartment
Just realized Mike named his softball team after his cat🤣
Edit: ok, I hadn't finished the season yet. Turns out he wasn't a good match for her after all
Idk, they were perfect for each other. Darrin is sweet and genuinely loved her 😢
I like the actor and character but why do fans of this show act like he's some amazing father and husband while Frankie is the world's worst mother ever?
-He's so emotionally closed off even to his wife of 20 years
He's constantly leaving the grunt work of parenting to Frankie despite her also having a job. Then acts surprised when she gets overwhelmed and meltdowns
He took Frankie camping for their HONEYMOON????
He tells his kids to their faces that Axel is his favorite, and then instead of reassuring Sue, he just half-heartedly hung out with her without actually giving her attention.
Instead of asking for help building a new bed, he just makes Frankie go without a bed for like 5 days.
He's uninvolved in his kids' lives unless it's about Axel playing sports or college, then he's surprsied Brick doesn't respect him?
Even when Frankie was being awful about the dishwasher all christmas, why would he not just give her the damn dishwasher as soon as he bought it?? So she could enjoy more days of dishwashing by hand??
Tbh this show is amazing and I could rant about hating/loving each character
I find this character so hilarious but I don’t really get what culture she’s supposed to be parodying. Is she supposed to be Amish?? She says she has 14 brothers and sisters and she referred to their kitchen as their “hatchery” lol
Not sure what her name is either, I don’t think they’ve ever mentioned it
Why didn’t they just act like her friend the entire time instead of ignoring her and then having their little “gotcha” moment when high school was over??
You’re telling me every single student was totally clueless to her existence and then out of nowhere everyone gave her a heartfelt speech about how she made such a huge impact on their lives? What??
It’s actually pretty funny how inconsistent the whole thing is. Nobody knew her name, so how did they know it was her yearbook? Especially when she had “Ana Hajarananan” under her senior portrait and everyone was calling her Ana. You can see people wrote “Dear Sue,”
I still love the ending regardless and was very touched by it, but that was probably the most outlandish thing that happened in the whole series.
I find it funny how they’re supposed to be so bad off yet:
Their house is nicer than mine lol
So at the very end, they say that Axl had 3 sons just like him(amazing) But then they show Sue's wedding and Lexie is pregnant... do y'all think she's pregnant with one of the boys, or is it a fourth baby? Idk why but I always thought it was a new baby.
When Brick plays the crane game, are they actually using the Ranking theme from the SNES version of Street Fighter 2?
Okay, I haven't seen the episode in a hot minute but I remember the second episode of the show where they have to pay because it's 2009. I think they then have it to where they will end up having to pay in 2012? I think at the time I assumed they would make a continuation in 2012 where they have to deal with paying. Now of course it could be assumed they just once again kept delaying their payments for 3 more years but I was a little upset they never did a 2012 episode.
season 3, episode 20 “get your business done”
I’ve seen the show many times usually as a background noise
I just noticed in this episode the woman standing next to frankie in the church corrects her clapping
And then in Season 8, Episode 3 Halloween VII: The Heckoning they call back to it as a reason for not wanting to live with her
I love these little continuity parts
Sorry if its already known
darrin is a nice guy , don’t get me wrong , but he genuinely just makes my head hurt . him and sue being together just kinda came out of nowhere . they never showed any signs of having feelings for eachother in the beginning (that i can remember) and all of a sudden they’re all over eachother with hardly any buildup or anything . i understand the concept and what would make them seem good together , but it all just felt so artificial . i believe he completely jumped the gun with proposing to her . they weren’t dating for very long , he didn’t ask her dad or even mention it until AFTER the proposal , and he already bought them a place to live before knowing if they were even going to get married or not . i understand it was supposed to be a surprise but come on . even if he’s that stupid , it seemed that his family knew about everything so you would think SOMEONE would’ve at least advised him about how to go about it correctly . he also never really allowed sue to speak her mind by interrupting her with more details about the marriage before she could even finish her sentence . when she finally got her point across , to me it seemed like he was trying to persuade her to change her mind . when she called the whole thing off and confronted the situation he basically just disappeared from the series and didn’t seem very receptive of her reasoning . she was still in high school at this time too , so no , obviously she wouldn’t want to get married because they’re in different stages of life .. smh darrin
I just rewatched the episode where Dereck Glossner keeps kissing Sue. At the end he says he won’t do it anymore because he isn’t worthy of Sue, but he will be one day. He says he’s going to make something of himself and prove he is worthy of Sue.
We know Sue married Sean Donahue. . . So what do we think happened to Dereck Glossner?
