Metalocalypse managed to emerge victorious with some rather stiff competition. Behind it were Harvey Birdman, Space Ghost, Sealab, and the Boondocks.

It’s sick as hell that tf2 got Carl:)
First of all, absolutely phenomenal, I am itching for the next episode.
And second, this is what I have been searching for more of in adult animation. Raunchy, over the top comedies have their place for sure. But I want to see more like this, that are dramatic, heavy, deliberately paved, and mature in a way beyond dick jokes and swearing. This show is saying things and isn't being subtle, and I love it.
Joeseph Bennet is shooting fire with this, and I want Adult Swim to notice. This is a direction they should be looking more towards. Because this is an instant classic they have on their hands.
This short segment on Adult Swim from 2020 has hit me in a way very few videos have. Everything from the visuals, to the audio, to the message. I’m enamored, I really like this kind of weird stuff with a deeper meaning.
Please recommend me some more pieces of media with a similar vibe!!
hope you enjoy drop my ig a follow name in profile
More of a drama than I thought it would be, but I can't wait until episode 2.
Socrates the turtle is the best part.
anyone notice how ironic it is that almost every commercial break on the hbo max show common side effects is a pharma ad?? it’s almost like it’s on purpose at this point. what do you all think?
I’m not sure if this series aired on Adult Swim or not, there’s not much info about it online, but I felt that this would be the community to ask the question for a series such as this.
It seems that Apple TV had released this show under ten 22 min episodes. On episode calendar it shows that originally it aired as a 9 minute episodic, and there were 30 episodes.
Looking at the descriptions of each episode of the original 30 it’s obvious that the 10 episodes of 22 minutes were mixed and matched, but even after finishing all 10 episodes it seems that there are segments missing? There are some bits in the episode descriptions that I never saw in the ten episodes Apple TV has.
In fact all torrents or streaming sites that host the series have only the 10 episode list. Does anyone know how or where I can watch the 30 original episodes in their proper form?
Yeah, it's me...the retro guy lol. But am really curious to see that if achieved. It was the very beginning of the ACTN bumps and wonder if it's archived anywhere? Pre-Adult Swim getting the 5 a.m. hour
Can I maybe watch ATHF with english dub and sub? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I only just heard about it, and it's hilarious. Top shelf adult swim style of humour.
Is it super popular and I've just been living in a cave all this time?? Or has it genuinely flown under the radar?
With over 300 upvotes, ATHF is chosen as the #2 show by a landslide. The Boondocks and Metalocalypse were runner-ups. Always had a soft spot for ATHF. A cornerstone in early 2000s absurdist humor.

Mine is telling me the episode “failed to load”.
I was so stoked to finally check this show out after all of the hype. I can already tell that it's pretty clever and dark in the best way!
They have people that wanna watch stuff in other countries, I wish they would tape into that market
Title is the whole thread, it's just exciting news. Common Side Effects seems pretty good too, but that Yolo trailer was the highlight of the night for me especially since it's coming so soon.
Fantastic.
I saw the ads and it’s rare that I buy into the hype of a new show, but this is really good. It’s a good balance between being “real” in how they portray people and interactions, but not full of itself.
I know most of us reading this have had this kind of conversation that the government and big [insert industry] will go to any lengths to keep profits flowing and this is just a really good way to tell that story.
It moves at a good pace, plenty of exposition in the first few episodes and no plot holes I’m left wondering about. Really looking forward to the next episodes. The art is sick, and the really picturesque shots are dope (that black squid ink shit the CEO got was really nice to look at).
Also, small detail, but in real life, I’m always talking to Executive assistants and the coffee shop scene was spot on for how they talk about work haha.
What a GREAT show.
I cannot express how much i appreciated the effort of into these episodes we were just shown.
I'm a fan!
I remember watching a tv show on adult swim or something like that with sheep trying to escape a farm it was always one specific sheep that was trying to get other ones to join him and it was raining or dark and the owner was a older lady (the sheep look like the ones off the show 'Shaun the sheep'
I know it's only been on for 10 minutes but so far it is very intriguing. I have really high hopes that this will be a great show.
