Or something along those lines. It was him pondering the idea of death or suicide… and i can find the clip about suicide but this bit is in a different special, I believe.
I need help finding a bit. He's talking about what it's like to be a parent volunteer at school during lunch. He mentions the kids' chocolate milk coming in a paper box and how hard it is to open, and that they ask him to open it. But he's not actually better at it, just at managing the stress that comes with trying to open it
I recall a bit in my head Louie uses during a special or on his show, Louie, that goes along the lines of the title. I think he also says that even now, when he encounters a small inconvenience, he wants to end his life or something like that. Does this ring a bell for anyone else?
As a huge fan of them both I always wondered what Louie thought about them. He regularly talks about how he despises ''mainstream'' cheesy sitcoms and I think Louie shares a similar type of sense of humor with the gang but I never once saw any of them mention each other. Which is also weird since both shows were airing on the same network.
can’t really find it anywhere. it should be on hbo max quite frankly.
If I were to purchase it would I be able to cast it to my TV with a Chromecast from my phones browser?
I watched it when it came out and have been waiting for years for it to come back to streaming, but it hasn't happened.
Louis CK had an excellent bit in one of his recent specials from the last couple years and I'm looking for help finding it. In my memory it kind of served to sum up people who have those "in this house science is real, love is love, kindness is everything" bla bla bla garden signs, as the antithesis of those kinds of sentiments. I don't know if the bit actually referenced those signs. The bit was hilarious - would appreciate help finding which special it was in, or even a youtube clip. thanks!!
I thought about this the other day. I was watching Todd Solondz’ film Happiness (1998) for the first time, which by the way, if you want to watch a movie that might as well have been made by Louis then this is it.
Watching it, I was aware of at least three places where I thought, hmm, I think Louis might have watched this and developed bits from it.
I only remember the once instance now, but it’s really obvious to me that this is probably the case. It’s the scene where Philip Seymour Hoffmann’s character has just ejaculated in his apartment and he opens the apartment door to find a female neighbour there, while having this terribly shameful face on from just having masturbated. And it reminded me of this bit, which I can’t find right now, but where Louis says “I masturbated too recently … she knows..” something like that. And then he puts on a shameful face as well.
I might be completely wrong about all this. But it’s not the first film I have watched, where Louis’ bits pop up in my head due to some sort of semblance between the two. We know he’s a movie buff, so I figured there might be something to it.
Anyone else have instances of this with films possibly inspiring some bits?
Mine was his video podcast around 2006
After ending a podcast, he literally sits there for like 4 minutes, doing nothing, genuinely as if the camera isn’t there (without any appearance of irony, until you faintly hear his kids)
I just found the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM-yduEVG0A&themeRefresh=1
was on the list https://comedybuff.com/blog/archive/new
I was basically ROFL, came out of nowhere.
Just curious if you could stream lucky Louie or Louie on anything or anywhere I could purchase it?
I think it may have been from the tv series. He talks about how he believes if you kill someone and if so many years go by and you don't caught that you should not be arrested for it.
I'm trying to remember what special this is from. Louis did a bit about walking through the airport, and he notices a couple of teenage boys were wearing very short shorts. One of Louis' punchlines is: "Put those away boys. You're not gonna get me, but you're gonna be a problem for somebody in this airport. Or something like that.
Can anyone help me remember what special this was from? I never got to finish the whole thing.
I'm looking for this clip that I'd seen on Youtube (I think) where Louis on one of his performances talks about going camping with his kids and a bear comes and kills / eats the kids and then talks about how he has to narrate and explain to his wife the whole story.
I cannot find this anywhere and not even in my Youtube history.
Can anyone else remember this and point me towards the correct video if possible please?
I listened to Chewed Up today and I forgot how much I used to say : Somebody shoot that cunt with a bazooka!
So I'm wandering what lines do you guys quote in your day to day life?
Is this from the show or a special? And where can I find it?
Unless I dreamed it, I could’ve sworn Louie had a short video podcast that he did maybe 3-4 episodes of back in the late 2000’s or early 2010’s. It was before podcasting was a thing like it is now. It was a YouTube podcast, and it was very short, like probably less than 20 minutes per episode. Very casual and not at all structured. In one of the episodes Louis gets a call on his cell phone, takes the call and talks to the person for 2 minutes, and then hangs up as if nothing was out of the ordinary, then says “my mom died. Anyways…” I think I remember him having a guitar in the background or maybe even playing it.
I can’t find this anywhere I look for it. Does anyone remember this or am I going crazy?
There's one bit from one of his stand ups I think where he tells one of her daughters not to worry about whether she could have anything or not and he says something around those lines, that he had enough money for all them three to live until they got old and die that it didn't matter.
Do you have that bit or know the standup?
Very funny. Quite a tan. As usual after a comedy show i cant remember a single Joke
I’m 99% sure I saw Louis do a bit once but I’ve been unable to find it. It went something like “when I was younger I thought I’d die young. Like at some point I’d just explode like a star. But instead I just kept getting older and fatter.” Anyone know where this is from?
Anyone else think about this line every time they make boring smalltalk with someone? It's perfect
