Hiring of Mike Ross

Since Harvey Spector hired Mike Ross a fraud who didn't go to law school if this was real life Harvey would have been fired. The firm has gone through so many name changes it's not even funny. Seems like everyone has a personal vendetta against each other. I am no lawyer but I would think if that was to happen in a real law firm they law firm wouldn't get anything done. I am on season 6 episode 2 where Mike goes to Prison and tells his cellmate everything his first night in prison. Also why didn't Mike have Harold take a stand saying that Mike went to law school, he had Jimmy do it. Harold wants to be Mike's friend really bad seems like. No spoilers please.

What does Harold say to Woodall?

In S3 E16, >!Louis goes into the interrogation room with Harold, and Harold says something to Woodall that makes him let Mike and Harold go.!< What did he say? I didn’t understand that development at all.

I love it but

I love this show. More than I should. It's good and sometimes there is substance but holy shit if you really go back and watch they don't really say anything and it's comical once you really pick it up. Not so much in the first two seasons but as time goes on you really notice it more and more. They speak so vaguely that literally anyone can follow it.

-"Bullshit, you don't have anything" -"OH I have something, just ask her what it is" -"What is he talking about?"

  • "he backed me into a corner, I had no choice so I signed it"

"Well now thanks to you we have nothing" "We need to figure something out fast, we're not going down without a fight"

And this is really 75 percent of the show. Idk if people also notice this or understandwhat im trging to say. Let me know what you think

More like Sheila SASS

I just watched Sheila in season 7 and I'm disappointed in her. She knows Louis is IN LOVE with her and she uses him for her sexual fantasy all while she is still going to marry the other guy. There was a scene that broke my heart. Louis was pouring his heart out to her telling her he couldn't hook up with her anymore because it hurts him and that he "doesn't get the girl" and even after he said all of it, all she could care about was Louis dropping the suit Louis put on her fiance to make sure he didn't find out about them because loosing the fiance would destroy her life.

Then in season 8 she gets this wild hair up her ass about Louis making managing partner and instead of encouraging him about it she shuvs the idea down his throat and manipulates him into going for it with sexual advances. Then when Louis came home ready to tell her the truth that he didn't get managing partner/he didn't want it anymore she wouldn't let him talk she cut him off with her sexual innuendos and role play. She just assumed he got the job and wouldn't let him have a word otherwise.

Then when she finally found out the truth she blamed his therapist and pretended to be someone else and went to see him to confront him. I have a feeling Dr. Lipschitz does NOT like Sheila personally after all the shit Louis has said about her over the years.

Love all but one thing…

How often people say “by the likes of you” lol it fit with Hardman’s character but the amount of times I hear this come from random side characters or temporary main ones is insane. It’s not a common enough phrase to go unnoticed 😂 it takes me out every time!

Two brothers who were too nerdy and too broke to pay for fake LSAT scores present: Suits on Suits - a [re]watch podcast.

Hey fellow Suits fans!

My brother and I recently decided that watching and simply enjoying Suits wasn't enough, we needed to inflict our opinions on the internet with a podcast. We started Suits on Suits to break down each episode from a lawyer’s perspective with too much enthusiasm and not enough stage presence.

Quick heads up - while we are planning to cover the whole series, we are only on Season 2, Episode 2 so far.  That said, we started to find a groove (we think :/) with Season 1, Episode 11. (Much like Mike Ross, we needed a little time to figure out what we were doing.) If you're thinking about checking us out, maybe start there. Though if you want to hear us fumbling through the early episodes like Louis trying to sign a client, those are available too.

We dive into everything related to the plot of the show, the culture of law and law firms, and some legal concepts discussed on the show.

Here's what we'd love from you:

  • Suggestions for what you'd like us to cover more/less going forward
  • Honest feedback in the comments (we’re both pretending like we can handle it)
  • Your own theories and observations we might have missed

If you're interested in hearing two brothers/lawyers who love this show give their takes on the legal topics covered, give us a listen. And unlike Harvey, we actually want to hear what you think.

My mom binge watched all 9 seasons of suits in under 3 months during her free time and now wants more recommendations like this series

Dear suits community,

As the title suggests my mom loved this series and she wants similar recommendations to this show. Given her review as follows:-

Loved the characters, the story telling, the character arcs, the relationships between the characters, the engaging story. She loved the relationship between Harvey and Mike. She also loved Jessica as a strong female character. She loved the harsh reality of how hard it is to keep control of a corporate company and how decisions have outstanding consequences that affect not only you but others as well. She also loved the complex relationship between Harvey and his mother. She also loved the machiavellian tendencies shown by characters and the reality of what people are willing to do to move ahead in their careers including breaking law and such. She loved the finale as well where Harvey grew as a character that he let everything go to keep law firm and handed it over to Louis.
Didn't like the intimacy scenes (she used to skip these in one go). Felt season 3 or 4 was quite boring. Felt that the season after Jessica left the writers had no idea what they were doing and were trying to get back into rhythm.
Fav characters: Harvey, Jessica, Louis.

Please suggest some series like suits that she can watch since she loved it and it also helped her practice her English as well. She plans to rewatch it in the future also.

That empty feeling after completing suits is real guys

Today evening I completed Suits and I miss watching Harvey Spectar already. Though the show, has its flaws and lack of serious drama post season 6, I still miss the show.

Series finale

Just completed suits. Season 7 onwards the show standard dipped but the series finale compensated. It was awesome. How many of you agree with me?

Suits is a Science Fiction Show

As we all know in the critically acclaimed Netflix show “Suits” the character Mike Ross has an incredible photographic memory. Since a photographic memory doesn’t exist in real life, it can only lend itself to one obvious and irrefutable truth that Mike Ross is superhuman. Thus, my hypothesis is that due to Mike Ross’ a superhuman making suits a sci-fi.

I know this might seem crazy what I’m about to say but given the details of the show this may not be crazy as one might think. Given what we know in the show (Mike Ross being an orphan), we were told that his parents were killed in a drunk driving accident. However, due to Mike Ross’ incredible abilities that he has himself, we tend to overlook the abilities that his parents might have had as well. As we know in the show, this case has been massive. It’s important to Mike to avenge his parents due to the unbridled anger there is something else we should focus on in the show. There is clearly something else to the story that we were not told.

I propose the theory that Mike Ross’ parents were working on a highly classified government project that would give people superhuman abilities. You may think this is a bit far fetched, but if this theory is accepted a lot of things start to make sense. It’s obviously clear that Mike Ross’ parents were some of the top researchers on this project and clearly Mike Ross was very weak as a child. They were obviously killed because the one vile of serum they were able to create they give it to their own son, Mike Ross. Given that their child had all these rash and crazy tendencies, shown through Mike’s excessive smoking happens throughout the show. They gave him the serum to make him more successful despite this platitudes of his. His parents were killed in a “drunk driving” accident in response to their treason.

This all lends to the reason why Mike is superhuman because his “superhuman” photographic memory were really incubated in a lab. It seems that Mike Ross has more than one super power. As we seen throughout the show Mike Ross is one of the luckiest MFs ever. His achievements that he made were outlandish somehow, despite being a first year associate, he landed a top client that not even the great Louis Litt couldn’t land given his years of experience. He also was able to somehow land a high paying job as an investment banker in NYC. Yet alone without a college degree, yet alone without a law degree.

Now let’s talk about his love life, despite having no rizz he still pulls all these dimes like in the first season with Jennie and later on in the with Rachel. Let’s not forget he was clearly blessed with something that Rachel talks to Donna about as she says in a discrete way that he has a big picker. Clearly this can only result from the use of a serum.

All these combinations of things: his photographic memory, his rizz, and his massive knob. All points back to the use of a serum. Thus, we can conclude that suits is a science fiction show.

Not sure if this is allowed, but I made an okbuddy Suits related subreddit !

I'm sure most of you know what an "okbuddy" subreddit is, and if not, I'll explain. It's basically a shitpost subreddit, where you can post satirical or ironic memes and comments about the show, or just otherwise randomly shitpost about something vaguely connecting to Suits. It's basically a nonsense subreddit for shitposting about Suits, or for things that may be considered a bit explicit for the main sub. Feel free to check it out if interested !

They never did reveal the can opener ritual.

Or did I miss something? It would have been cool for them to address this at the end.

Is it just my headcanon that the entire time Mike was committing fraud with no degree, literally every other actual Harvard grad associate who was there in the bullpen when he started got fired for performance

Because that is fucking hilarious.

Did Suits go on for too long?

Humbly, 9 seasons of Suits was too much. The show was amazing, and I never thought I would watch a series about law, but personally there should have only been one more season after Mike and Rachels wedding. Season 8 should have ended like Season 9 did, without dragging for an extra season. The shows ending was great, and it was the perfect way to go, but that could have happened in season 8. Not saying season 8 stays the same and thats that, but having it rewritten to not drag the show before its ending. Not having Mike and Rachel made it feel more like a spin off than the same series. A spin off in Seattle would be the perfect way to go as the actors wouldn't mind going back to their characters, but it wouldn't feel the same without Meghan as Rachel.

Charles Fortsman

He is a very well written character and shows how much the writers put so much effort into knowing/deciphering different kinds of people that exist in today’s world. The kind of villain who wants to watch the world burn.

Why did they start swearing so much in the later seasons?

Earlier on the worst they said was “shit” and “damn it”. But later on they started bringing out the fucks and bitches etc… well “you son of a bitch” was already pretty popular but am I the only one who noticed?

Things I hate about Suits!

There are many things suits does well but many things they don’t do well. Here is my list of the things that I hate most about Suits…

This is based on the first 4 seasons.

  1. Louis…he’s such a tool bag. While many give him excuses for the way he acted I refused to do so. While Louis has many quirks that make him dislikable he additionally chooses to do things that hurt the people most around him. Then he wonders why nobody trusts him with information or includes him in anything. The dude is such a backstabbing tool bag he makes the show unwatchable.
  2. Robert Zane, while I understand in every tv show there are enemies. And in a lawyer show there will be enemy lawyers. This guy goes above and beyond to be an arrogant dick.
  3. Everyone and their mom thinks sharing information is a requirement to their relationships. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in anyone’s personal or professional life they feel it’s required to let them in on information that has no baring on them. For instance Louis asking Donna if she slept with Harvey. What business is that of Louis? Jessica’s boyfriend asking about Louis, Hardman, and Mike. What business is that of yours? You’re a senior partner yet you do not make decisions. If she wants to hire or fire someone or keep secrets from you as a name partner/managing partner who the fuck are you to question her? Then tell her she is required to tell you the truth because you’re banging her? Seriously?
  4. Everyone in the show is a criminal. Not one good person is played. Everyone of them keep doing more illegal shit and then try and cover it up. At what point does a person say you know what maybe I shouldn’t do illegal stuff and just move forward with my life before I end up in prison?
  5. Because everyone on the show are criminals they are always backstabbing on another. Between Harvey, Mike, Katrina, Donna, Jessica, Louis and everyone else there are no healthy relationships. It’s backstab after backstab after backstab. And for a show to try and push the ideology of loyalty on their viewers only to showcase that zero loyalty lies within the show is just downright disgusting.

While yes I understand it’s just a tv show and the writers need to make it interesting. Furthermore, I understand that some of these issues improve later on in the seasons. However, I still believe there are major flaws within the show and had they fixed them earlier or never even implemented them in the show it would be a 10+ show. Unfortunately because of these flaws this show is a 3 at best.
