First time watching. Just started like 2 days ago(I work from home mostly). These first two seasons are wild. I am just…
I love deacon, even with his demons. I hate Maddie. Poor Will. Poor Avery. Poor Rayna and Juliette.
This show is amazing
When I read the news that it was on the bubble, I didn't have a reaction because S4 was a chore to get through in my opinion. I'm like I don't care about him, her, her, him and so on. I don't care about these new characters taking up my screen. 🙄😂 I was obsessed when the series premiered. I made sure to watch every episode live. To be honest, I barely remember the S4 songs. During S1, I was buying up the music tracks. When S5 was announced, and the show was moved to CMT. I was happy for the fans who still loved the series, but I was done. Not even my favorite ship could keep me around because it's not like they were fun to watch by then. I'm referring to Avery & Juliette.
I strongly started to dislike the show when Maddie ran away with Cash. Don’t get me wrong, I always found Maddie annoying, whining, and self absorbed more than an average teenager but that’s when I started hating the show. Anyone else? I mean so many good things are happening, Decan and Rayna were finally doing good, Juliette was getting herself together, Gunnar and Scarlett were okay, Will was starting to date again, and BOOM Maddie f’ed everything up. Thoughts?
When Scarlet has sex with Gunner after his brother Jason died. When Juliet married Sean.
Avery Barkley’s character had the best development I think. The first season he’s so blind and lost through his breakup with scarlet and then when he left his band. However, when he comes through all of that he becomes such a stable, reliable, and kinder character. Then becoming a dad and a husband. He was the best.
The worst I would say would be Gunner Scott. He started out bright eyes and bushy tailed and then since he got with Violet and then broke up with her he just declined into garbage.
I’m rewatching the show for probably the 10th time. Did anyone ever notice how Daphne always seemed to know when to leave the room, when to speak up. I love her facial expressions. I mean obviously she was written that way, but Maisy did a great job portraying her.
this is my first time watching the show and i feel like reading the sub it seems like there’s a looot of hate for a lot of these characters (namely the women). I just don’t feel that way? granted i have some time left in the series (about a season left), so things may change, but i really feel like all of these characters are just very complex. a lot are neither bad nor good, they’re just people. I think there’s a special level of hate for maddie and scarlett which i find jarring because maddie is a child and if you’ve ever been 13-18, you’ve probably acted like maddie a time or too. With scarlett, i just kinda like her in general??? overall, i think everyone ebbs and flows into bad behavior and good behavior, but i don’t feel a strong hatred toward pretty much any of the main characters. Side characters? different story. jeff fordham can choke.
I can't quite explain but I hate this character so effing much. 😭
ETA: is it just me?
…… Juliette joining a cult? Will and his steroid abuse? Is Alana, Avery and Gunnar gonna start their own love triangle now?
Also, Brad is gonna threaten Deacon for “assaulting” him? I’m actually in law enforcement and that in no way constitutes assault and what Deacon did was completely justified in preventing a minor from being harmed given the circumstances (Brad kicking in the door and grabbing the kid).
This show is really pissing me off with the terrible writing but I’ve got too much time invested in watching it so I might as well finish….
Edit: title was supposed to say season 6 episode 8
There are several bad people on the show but I can't decide who I hate more Maddie or Scarlett! The entitlement from both of them is nauseating! I am halfway through season 4 and right now I want to smack Maddie, lol ugh. Who do you think is the worst?
Escape your deranged stalker only to get hit by a truck while riding away in a cop car not an hour later?! Insane.
I just finished season one. Am I supposed to like Deacon? Am I supposed to be rooting for him? Because he sure seems to be pretty self-righteous for an addict who dismantled a lot of relationships in his past. Granted, he has been sober for over a decade, and that’s amazing, but it doesn’t mean that all the damage he did in the past gets magically undone. He seems like he won’t accept the consequences for his actions and like he resents it when his past victims don’t treat him like a shiny, new penny.
I am honestly not rooting for him and Rayna to get back together, even though the show has them set up as the main It couple, the starcrossed lovers. I think he has better chemistry with Juliette and not a bunch of dangerous, old baggage. They actually seem to me like they could be a forward-looking couple on a new page.
Do other Nashville fans like Deacon? And do you like Deacon and Rayna together?
This is my first time watching the show.
I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THE CRASH. FOR RAYNA. THE TRIBUTE.
Someone help me with my grief.
My family are huge fans of the show, and we’re going to Nashville soon. I was trying to look up some “Nashville” themed things (or stuff they did in the show) to do while we’re down there for fun. I would love any ideas!
… this guy is introduced as a level headed sober companion that is experienced in helping others with their addictions… he starts off as being likeable/helpful and is supposed to be helping Juliette’s mom who is trying really hard in recovery… then he basically abandons her in order to get into cahoots with Juliette and gets all involved in the business and tries to fire Avery.
Like who the hell does this guy think he is?!?!
Major spoiler: >!After he gets a leave for the funeral, he agrees with Deacon that in 3 months (when he gets out) they can work things out with the girls. And then they NEVER MENTION TEDDY AGAIN. Daphne starts calling Deacon, "Dad" which, sorry, is infuriating. At least put some throwaway lines in there about the girls visiting him in prison or something.!<
In season 4 episode 8. Leading up to now and I am so over how bratty this child is.
Why does Juliette despise Rayna so much?
Why is Rayna so jealous of Juliette’s success?
Why can’t they just join forces and rule country music together?
I always found it funny how they make a big deal about Avery burning his master tapes.. yet, they showed them working in Pro Tools, which means they’ve already been converted to digital..
The practice is normally to make several backup copies of the individual tracks as well as stems once they are converted.
Additionally: Any benefits of tape saturation have already been applied once it has been tracked to tape.
I'm creating a YouTube playlist of music from Nashville. I've completed tracks beginning with letters A-M so far. It's heavily weighted towards Clare Bowen and Sam Palladio, but features some of the other Nashville characters as well. Enjoy!

Since the original show aired 12 years ago, Nashville has essentially become the Rock capital of the world, taking the spot from L.A.
I lot of Rock artists have sprung up or relocated to Nashville. Artists such as Jack White and The Black Keys have relocated there and opened their own studios to support up and coming artists. In the past decade it has become a new scene.
I think they should produce a spin-off, focusing more on this music aspect, while even keeping it in the same universe.
Can someone explain where Sadie, Luke, Liam, and especially Watty are >!when Rayna dies??? Isn't Watty one of her closest people in her circle and Luke shows tremendous grace when he decides to sell his label to Rayna. !<How does Teddy, Tandy and Juliette >!not "completely lose it" when she dies? !<Disappointed that the writing could have really taken advantage >!of such a tragedy with everyone's emotions but we really only get to see Maddie, Scarlett, Bucky and of course, Deacon's raw emotions. Anyone else want to offer their thoughts?!<
!I just finished the series for the 2nd time. It's been several years, and all I remembered was that I really liked the endling. Now, after watching it again, I am reminded of why. Happy endings can happen in this show! My favorite of all was Avery showing up a Juliette's new home and proposing to her. Wow. So I'm all happy and melty with a full heart <3!<
Sometimes, I swear I don’t remember most of the scenes—just fragments of the story lines, here and there.
Season 3, Episode 2 where Layla scolds Will before the reality crew shows up. Trying to figure out where this place is! Any help is super appreciated :)
Can someone tell my why everything just goes WRONG in season 4
The amount of times I’ve screamed at my tv and been like WHYYYYYYY
Like Maddie’s emancipation?! The trial literally going well and then deacon messes it up AGAIN
Juliette coming back and literally not changing at all lol
scarlet being a pick me still
Will just burrying his head in the sand, STILL
and don’t get me wrong, I love me some rayna, but she’s such a wet blanket this season, just feeling sorry for herself 24/7
Pls tell me it’s not this depressing going forward…
And yes I already know Rayna dies (I’ve already cried about it 20 times)
Okay so he walks in on Will literally SHOOTING up growth hormones (steroids), notices his extreme mood swings and excessive working out but yet doesn’t put it all together????
I'll start. The episode where Maddie's friend Twig does shrooms and his friends throw cheese puffs on him.
