I could see Virginia buying this…
Three weeks ago we fell asleep watching a movie and when we woke up this show was on.. we instantly got hooked and cannot stop watching it. How did I not know about this show when it was on TV?? Anyone else just discover this brilliance?? Halfway through round 2 of the series tonight!
I've just started watching this and it's so underrated. What are some lines that have made you laugh the most?
I had seen this on the home page of my Hulu account for months now and I just can’t seem to watch the last 6 episodes of modern family so I decided to give this a try and I absolutely love it and I’m honestly learning a lot of things on how to raise a baby for when I’m ready to have one ofcoarse lol which is a nice bonus ! Just started season 2 and I love how the parents are inseparable .
(i posted this question years ago, got some funny answers, but nothing legit)
Jimmy was 'Drakkar Noir'.
Does anyone know if Sabrina had a goth name?
(if not, what name would you give her?)

I’ve never watched any part of the show. I don’t know any spoilers (please keep it that way!). And I don’t know anything about the show except that it’s about a guy who has to take care of his baby because his one night stand was executed in jail (first 10 minutes of the show).
I know the show got cancelled after 4 seasons. My question is, does the series end on a cliffhanger because of the cancellation? Like, would it be annoying to watch the show and then be crazy disappointed that it didn’t even get to end?
Thanks!
Edit: thank you all for your insights and info without spoilers! I’ve started watching the show, about halfway through season 1–and I am hooked!
Just wanted to show love to show
I just finished my 1st run of this show AMA.
I just started watching the show and I like how they start to show more and more how unhinged she is , from fawning over a 13 year old having a goth obsession phase , the spider thing to eating dirt and blood . Then cutting brake lines I think she may be closer to Jimmys last wife more than she thinks 😂 she fits right in
I rewatched this show after I'd say 6 years over the last month and was very disappointed that after Sabrina and Jimmy move into the new house, it falls apart into incredibly flanderised Burt and Virginia antics rather than actually being about Hope. I felt like the Sabrina/hope/jimmy plots often took a backseat and were never really that strong.
Seasons 1 and 2 were legit even better than I remembered though.
I'm watching the show for the first time and I'm not gonna go through to point them all out but wow a lot of my name is earl Easter eggs name drop, trailer, actors
Raising Hope is my comfort show.. I just love it so much. I love how natural they feel as a family/how funny. I feel like it deserves so much recognition. RIP Cloris Leachman (maw maw) 💓🥹
and put it in my dresser. Just about every one of the graphic tees that Lucas Neff wears throughout this series are just so obscure and odd, and I love them. Does anyone know where I could purchase please?
Happy Arbor Day! Hope everyone got their gifts from Papa Woody!
Do you think it’s a magazine for old people, or a old “people” magazine?
Virginia:come here
Jimmy: /Are you going to slap me?
Virginia: “No I’m not going to slap you!”
Jimmy: goes to her
Virginian: slaps
I binge watched the show over the course of two weeks and I'm extremely disappointed in how it ended. Will they ever make a new season or at least a sequel?? 😭
First looks like it was called “Jon’s” (?) according the the pilot episode and what Sabrina is wearing. Then when it was Howdy’s, it said it’s been since 2006, and then it changed to 1986 after the episode we find out Burt used to work at Howdy’s back in 1986.
I can't believe it took me this long to watch it! But Burt and Virginia are truly the most beautiful couple..up there with Hal and Lois out of Malcolm in the Middle. They might not be able to do it right most of the time but their love for eachother is *chefs kiss
Obviously the episode is Hitchcock-themed. Is there a "Hitchcock" cameo in the episode?
