Has anyone seen Sprung with Martha plimpton and Garret?
Love it...want one. Was it made specifically for the show? Sorry if this question has already been answered a lot.
In Season 2, Episode 10, The scene outside the movie theater features a poster reading "My Name Is Earl, The Movie". Anyone else notice that?
watching S2E22 and i’m sobbing.
Is anyone else seeing the connection between Jimmy Chance from Raising Hope and Dimitri Martin? Both not only have this low-key, quirky humor but are also surprisingly talented artists! Jimmy brings unexpected charm through his character’s sweet, often clueless comedy, and Dimitri’s stand-up is legendary for incorporating his unique sketches and clever illustrations.
Their blend of comedy and art makes them so much more fun to watch! Martin’s minimalist drawings add a layer to his jokes, and Jimmy’s character brings that same creative spirit to his role in a way that feels relatable and fresh. They both prove that humor and art can be an awesome mix. Anyone else love this combo?
Okay, I have several questions. I know it's a show, but these things really doesn't make sense. While Sabrina is in jail for protesting:
Rikki takes her sheets and pillow and drops food on purpose. Even if she's the only guard in that prison, how on Earth doesn't anyone say anything? I get it's a prison, but some things really don't make sense.
Rikki says she will listen on the talk between Jimmy and Sabrina, which I always thought was highly illegal. Again, it's a show, but I can't remember another show, legal, crime or anything else, where that was the case.
Sabrina was brought in to "sell the cookies" for those guys. Unless it's a holding cell, which shouldn't be the case for the two-week waiting period, how are men and women in the same prison?
Rikki makes Sabrina sell cigarettes. That one is just weird.
In end we see it's Rikki's trick to do all of those things (or she's just nuts) (or both), but the entire episode doesn't make sense.
I watched Raising Hope and My Name is Earl back to back, and I believe the halfway house on season 3 episode 16 of my name is earl is the same house they used in Raising Hope. I know the shows creator's are the same so I wouldn't doubt it. The house looks the same and has same basic layout. Thoughts?
Them trying to one-upping other families on who are the poorest to get the scholarship for Hope's daycare, to finding out Burt is the sex offender and how throughout the episode all of them managed to get on the list too is just peak comedy.
Almost done with season four of raising hope and I feel like it’s a totally different show from season 1
Maw Maw doesn’t really have dementia anymore? Hope doesn’t even talk and she’s what four? Virginia now says “Sabriner” instead of how she used to pronounce Sabrina.
I felt like half the fun was jimmy chasing Sabrina. Now it’s just like ok I got her here’s our boring life 😅
Also why is Barney in the intro drawing?? He’s hardly a main character
They could have made him a sad mopey person who everyone hates, but the other characters seem to genuinely like him and he's pretty skilled.
Go to fandango and look at the bundle save categories
in the episode where virginia thinks that the world is going to end and they celebrate christmas early, does anyone know what burt whispered into jimmy’s ear that made him puke? google really didn’t have anything lol
What do you think happened to the chances after the series finale?
I think Burt and Virginia remained married and happy until they passed at like age 100.
I also think Jimmy and Sabrina remained married and ended up having two more children. One boy and another girl. Hope is a great big sister to them and teaches them many of the chance family tricks.
Hope is the first one of the family to go to college. The whole family(even Mae Maw) is there and none of them have a dry eye.
I’ve watched the show over and over again. Right now I’m watching the gambling episode. However, a few episodes before this was the Vegas episode and Virginia stayed how Burt couldn’t hold the money because of his gambling problem. Okay cool. However, season one, the Dream Hoarders episode. Burt was buying lottery tickets and Virginia was rooting for him winning the lottery and would talk about what they would do with the money. I know it’s something small and no big deal. I just like discussing those minor details that changed during the different seasons.
As I do a re watch I just notice how Garret Dillahunt is such a good comedic actor and makes Burt stand out so much. He does such a good job at being a lovable and goofy and when they give him comedic stunts to do it really pushes the show to a great show. Not that it’s bad without him but he definitely takes it up a bit, at least for me.
This show is the reason that I have my Hulu subscription. I love Raising Hope and have wanted it over and over again every night to help me sleep for years. I began watching it when it was on Netflix. When they moved it to Hulu, I subscribed. I have no clue why I’m confessing any of this information hahahaha but I just wanted to tell someone.
Took me a while to figure out where I had seen him lol
I take I'm not the first to notice that Lucy's prison number are the combined numbers of Les Miserables' Jean Val Jean (24601) and Lilo and Stitch's Stitch (Experiment 626)?
Had a little chuckle at this one.
In the episode of my name is Earl where he gets Pierre to kiss all the woman he never could, the one girl Pierre kisses while in the car has a guard uniform and big red hair.
I like to think it's the girl who makes Sabrina get all the badges while in jail.
I cracked up when she said "we are your biodegradable parents".
There’s an episode (I think toward the beginning of the series?) where it shows all of the things wrong with their house, like how you need to hold a lighter up to the thermostat etc. to get things to work properly. I think they do that in a few episodes though but in this specific episode it’s showcasing all of the funny things wrong with the house and their solutions to it.
Does anyone know of the episode??
I’ve been looking but can’t seem to find it.
What episode does Jimmy get pulled over by a motorcycle cop?
This is paco and franks halfway house in season 3 episode 19 of my name is earl. Fucking awesome
