It’s been driving me crazy bc I’ve rewatched modern family more times than I can count, but I don’t recognize this scene at all from any specific episode. It’s Phil backing out of the driveway while Claire stands on the road. pls help 🙏
It doens’t matter if it’s an A or B or C plot. But that’s an episode that has both a subplot you hate and subplot you love?
I’ll leave mine in the comments!
for example, when they were at the mall and claire and phill spotted Dylan, Claire tries to distract Haley so that she wouldnt see him and get back into contact with him. she told phil to pretend like he didn't see him so that they dont get in contact and eventually end up back together, because she wants better for her daughter. but phil the idiot decides to not listen and call Dylan to say hi, leading to haley and dylan getting back into each other's lives and dating again. the idiot phil shouldn't have done that. he should have done whats best for his daughter and tried his best to not let them get back together, but instead he's just dumb.
I wished haley had a better ending, or ended up with someone that isnt Dylan, because she's better than him. I wish she ended up with someone who could bring her up to his level, like someone educated and successful, not someone who would bring her down to his level.
I also wish they let her evolve from a dumb popular high school girl to a successful woman, instead of her becoming a young mom
Also, i wish Dylan went to med school instead of nursing school, that way the family has a stable future, especially given that Haley doesn't have a degree and a nurse's salary isn't that great.
I’ve probably rewatched the series at least five times, and still it never grows old. I feel like I can jump in anywhere and enjoy the episode. For me, I just love all the characters and think the writing is incredibly witty. What keeps everyone else rewatching?
Hello
Why alex wears fake lashes on the show ? It seems not to be part of the show and I can't understand why they did that. Do you think there id a purpose behind that ? Is it part of the story or just the actress wearing fake lashes ?
Funniest lines, subplots, and overall the most entertaining screen time?
I don't think Claire was wrong for assuming Gloria was a gold digger. Yes she shouldn't have said it infront of her children, but If I were Claire and a young attractive woman married my much older rich father, I would also wonder/assume she is a gold digger, it is only normal to think so. it just doesn't make sense how Gloria could be physically attracted to Jay.
Also the way they "solved" that problem by having everyone jump in the pool just doesn't make any sense. they should have seriously addressed the assumption that Gloria is a gold digger so that people would continue the rest of the show knowing the truth. It's one of the only episodes I wish was more serious.
don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Gloria, and she's my favourite character from the show, and I do think that Gloria has proven herself to be an amazing wife and mother and that she's proven that she truly loves Jay, not just for his money.
Phil acts too much like an immature kid like grow the hell up! just a few examples are like the time he wouldn't let Luke quit magic, or the time he got mad because Claire didn't buy him an iPad. he acts like a whiney 6-year-old. grow the hell up oh my god!!
I also hate the fact that phil wants haley to be with Dylan just because he sees Dylan as a younger version of himself instead of wanting ur daughter to be with someone that will bring her up to his level and help her better herself, he wants her to be with someone she's better than, just because he sees himself in him. it's sick.
Is it just me or does she use the phrase “ONE thing” like a hella lot often in the show? She said that Halloween was the “ONE thing” that she has, but only a few episodes later she says that organizing the school dance is also her “ONE thing”, along with that interview for a magazine she has where she gets “ONE day”. And in the episode where the kids get mad at her for snooping around in their texts and what they’re doing with their friends she says that it’s the “ONE thing” that helps her sleep at night, knowing that they’re safe. She might’ve also said that about her going to the shooting range by herself but the first four are the examples I can think of off the top of my head. It really kinda makes me less sympathetic towards whatever she’s going through in the episode since that’s the only reason for having something that she could think of
This song is on my playlist. And often drive to this.
I remember in the early seasons Lily always had scenes in the show, but once she became a teen her acting was just terrible to watch and I feel like that’s why they didn’t give her a lot of screen time in the later seasons.
Anyone have an actual answer just something I noticed
For me it was when mitch was having a hard time with cam's sis staying home and he was stressed out about how she was sending the wrong message to lily bout men and stuff and Jay comforted him and took him to the karaoke and stuff, another great son-father moment in the show.
Luke: Now a human? Come here Lily.
It’s not that hard, guys. Please spell the name of the country correctly.
Hi After rewatching MF for the 13th time I have noticed some discrepancies in the plot. Do add if u find more.
1 In the pilot episode Cam says that his mom raised 4 kids and a farm however throughout the show we only see his 1 sister Pam even at his wedding
2 Phil says that he will learn Spanish at his 50th bday but in the episode where Gloria wants to sell her old apartment Phil converses in Spanish with the customers
3 Luke comes up with a great business idea in the last season but nothing happens to it
4 When claire is working for Jay someone calls her “ Mrs Dunphy” and she says oh please Mr dunphy is my dad lolol like what ?? Did the writers mess up here ?
Saw her on the episode of Lily’s birthday where they invited Ashley W. Love this episode!
