The first three seasons of AD leaned in on celebrating/mocking the main cast's heritage, which are some of my favorite parts of the show. Self-referential bits about Ron Howard's acting days, Happy Days references, things like Arnett marrying Amy Pohler were stitched into every episode. They even had the brilliant "Family Ties" episode paralleling Lindsay/Michael and Jason/Justine Bateman.
Netflix continued that self-reference for Ron Howard as a director (maybe too much), but the rest of the cast had done HUGE things in those intervening years: Michael Cera was in Juno, Portia got married to Ellen DeGeneres, Mae Whitman became a prominent voice actress, and Jessica Walter was a Lucille knockoff on Archer. By Season 5 Will was Batman, and Bojack Horseman on Netflix!
I don't remember much acknowledgment of these glowups in the later seasons beyond a Transparent reference about George in the S4 remix. For a show famous for riffing on the cast's outside roles, it felt really strange not acknowledge them.
Season 1 ep 20 is perfect mix of absurd chaos. It’s hilarious
White Power faked his death and killed Lucille 2
also due to popular demand there are no rules dictating what seasons to pick from.
I'm on my 4th re-run and it's so underrated and also probs the best show ever . I feel like not enough people know about this show !!!
I can't post a screenshot because Netflix on Android sucks, but it's episode 15 in the original cut.
S4E11.. At the end of a night partying with the "entourage", Gob is wearing this inside out shirt to bed. Anyone get the reference?
Using my leftover turkey bones to make a stew, just like Carl Weathers suggested!!
Edit: I tried to add a photo but it wouldn't let me. :(

season 5 revealed linsey is lucile’s half sister, does that mean stan is the father or did the sitwells just want linsey for the hell of it?
i'm rewatching season 1 and it's mentioned that lucille doesn't have a good relationship with her sister. i didn't get an answer when i googled it. is it ever mentioned in the show again or was this just a one off thing the writer's decided not to elaborate on?
Thanks to some very helpful people on this sub, I figured out where I could find the OG season 4 on Netflix. But it seems like only the first 7 episodes are available. Is that the case for others too or is it just here in Sweden?
as a commenter suggested last time let’s limit it to before season 4 because netflix made a huge mistake
