  • posts that do not stand (or seem to relate to the show) without the title

  • screenshots of comments

  • Loblaws grocery store, Steve Holt the magician, other coincidental names that are obviously not referencing this show

  • speculation (i.e. looks like Tobias was here)

  • lookalikes

Biggest missed opportunity of the Netflix seasons

The first three seasons of AD leaned in on celebrating/mocking the main cast's heritage, which are some of my favorite parts of the show. Self-referential bits about Ron Howard's acting days, Happy Days references, things like Arnett marrying Amy Pohler were stitched into every episode. They even had the brilliant "Family Ties" episode paralleling Lindsay/Michael and Jason/Justine Bateman.

Netflix continued that self-reference for Ron Howard as a director (maybe too much), but the rest of the cast had done HUGE things in those intervening years: Michael Cera was in Juno, Portia got married to Ellen DeGeneres, Mae Whitman became a prominent voice actress, and Jessica Walter was a Lucille knockoff on Archer. By Season 5 Will was Batman, and Bojack Horseman on Netflix!

I don't remember much acknowledgment of these glowups in the later seasons beyond a Transparent reference about George in the S4 remix. For a show famous for riffing on the cast's outside roles, it felt really strange not acknowledge them.

Sally Sitwell takes started ok ended bad, what storyline takes started good ended bad?

also due to popular demand there are no rules dictating what seasons to pick from.

In season 4, when George-Michael is moving into Sudden Valley, he happens to say the line "...should be the other way around" right as he puts his elbow on a piano. He's pressing on the lowest notes but plays the highest notes.

I can't post a screenshot because Netflix on Android sucks, but it's episode 15 in the original cut.

who is lucille's sister?

i'm rewatching season 1 and it's mentioned that lucille doesn't have a good relationship with her sister. i didn't get an answer when i googled it. is it ever mentioned in the show again or was this just a one off thing the writer's decided not to elaborate on?

Only 7 episodes on Netflix?

Thanks to some very helpful people on this sub, I figured out where I could find the OG season 4 on Netflix. But it seems like only the first 7 episodes are available. Is that the case for others too or is it just here in Sweden?

I always imagined when mother Lucille wasn’t the confident Bluth, how was she as a young rich heiress. This old SNL skit gives a glimpse
