Cleveland is the only one who didn't betray him due to being the most lawful out of the group other than when the residents of Spooner Street told CPS that Peter and Lois are unfit parents due to being in a feud causing Stewie to be taken into a multicultural foster home. This is another thing they took from the Simpsons because Homer friends also betray him when it's convenient like when Moe let the mob kidnap Homer and Bart due to Homer not paying for his beer and when Barney competed with him by making a rival snow plowing business and when he got Homer's car impounded in New York after a drunken night where Barney was the designated driver.

The joke being that now everyone has to sit through a long baseball game. I wish I had more to go on.

There's always been something about the newer seasons of family guy that feel off but I've never been able to place a finger on it. I'm watching "Brief Encounter" right now and it just hit me: many of the newer episodes are just two B-Plots put side by side. A-plots used to conform to a more rigid narrative structure with a beginning, middle, and meaningful conclusion. The surrealist plots that are the hallmark of "new" family guy don't allow for this type of storytelling to occur (refer to the underwear plot in Brief Encounter for a perfect example of this).

I get that there are many things that make "new" family guy feel different, and I'm not even criticizing it because in some ways I prefer the newer episodes, but I think this may be the single most important change in the show.

since stewie & brian episodes always hit, we cant leave this one out! (dont worry, the others will also show up)

the episode starts with bertram BEING ALIVE. (please come up with how he can be alive, i dont know myself.)

then we get a look into the future. suprisingly, stewie is ruling the world like he always wanted to be.

brian has been gone for 10 years, he fled the country after pulbishing a book that got so much negativity he had to leave.

all of a sudden, brian comes back, telling stewie he has been hiding in their old home, where no one is anymore. after he heard the news about stewie ruling the world, he came back. then he found out everybody just forgot about his book and accept him again.

brian asks what the gem is thats plastered on stewies head, stewie says he shouldnt worry about it.

however, one of stewies messangers tells him they are sensing objects speeding towards earth.

stewie is curious to who those are, so he lets them land on earth.

but bertram comes out of the spaceship, telling stewie he has been sent to another planet who HE rules.

he said he wants his revenge on stewie, and tells his forces to destory earth.

this turns into a huge war between the planets, sending rocketships and missiles.

stewie flees to his throne room, hiding there. brian asks stewie what they should do, because theyre losing the war.

stewie now also notices bertram has entered his palace, speeding in, looking for revenge.

stewie tells brian to get out of the palace. brian, the stubborn idiot he is, asks him 'what? why?'

stewie tells him to not worry about it. this turns into an argument between the two.

then stewie has had enough and tells him he will destory the gem on his head, which will make the palace explode, causing bertram and stewie to die.

then, stewie points a dagger to the gem on his head and tells brian to get out of here.

brian refuses, until stewies guard lead him out of the throne room.

stewie destroys the gem on his head and slowly ascends, just like the whole palace.

stewie says his final goodbye to brian and brian quickly leaves the palace.

then, bertram walks in and notices stewie ascending.

he realizes his mistake but its too late.

the palace explodes, killing stewie and bertram.

after, we see a montage of stewie and brians best moments together. (locked in a bank vault, travelling across the multiverse etc.)

the episode ends with brian writing a letter to stewies grave.

the end.
