hey admin can we you please make a pin for these posts !!!!
I’m watching Monk for the first time and I’ve just been binge watching it. I’m now at season 5 episode 12 and I’ve just realized that every episode title is a fear and he faces them in every episode. That’s the whole character arc for Adrian through the serie! At what season did you see that too? I’m curious! Please be kind 😁
Is it me or do I think Natalie was better for Monk than Sharona was. He did a lot of new things while he was with her yk. Trust me I love love love Sharona but Natalie was very free with him and a lot of new things happened with her. Maybe he was just in a better place to try new things with Natalie but regardless Natalie was better. So Natalie or Sharona?
the survey said the total had to be 100 .I'm like monk is that you ? 😂
Monk was a USA show yet the show had a ton of famous guests. Excluding his Wings co-stars there were a lot of well known actors/performers on the show: Andy Richter, Laurie Metcalf, Jason Alexander, Snoop Dog, Bob Costas, Gary Marshall, Danny Trejo, Stanley Tucci and others.
How did that show get so many A (or at least B+) celeberties? The show wasnt that well known and I only knew Tony from Wings and Galaxy Quest before then.
EDIT: I know I missed a number of people
Sometimes it is implied that they developed after Trudy's death. But then in many episodes they mention that he had always been this way even in his childhood.
For ex, in the episode where >!he meets his father, Jack says he didn't like his food to touch even when he was a child. Other episodes like Mr Monk and Little Monk which shows his school scenes, and Monk Goes to Reunion which shows his college time -- also show him to obsess over cleanliness. For ex, he is defrosting the refrigerator weekly!<
Is it that he had some as a child and it got worse in intensity as well as developed new ones later after his wife's death?
I swear there were only like 12 000 people following the sub last month, now its 19 000. Did Netflix started showing the show ?
Just finished bingeing my childhood show. I was wondering: Why did Rickover steal Molly? What was in it for him? I didn't quite understand that. During the episode I thought he stole the baby for himself because he couldn't have children, but it was obviously for some other family.
Since he asked if Natalie’s hot 🤷♂️
I've finished another re-watch of Monk and trying something new now. I've seen the show Psych recommended here many times, gave it a go, 3 episodes in but I can't stand the main guy, he's just a pure douchebag with no redeeming qualities - yet anyway. Does he get better as it goes on? Does he have a soul, can he be serious for one fucking moment? Because I don't want to continue if this guy is just an arrogant cocky douche that's portrayed as if it's supposed to be endearing, like NO there's nothing endearing about him that they showed yet. Also, any other recommendations to fill the Monk-void?
Watching Mr. Monk Makes a Friend and Hal Tucker reminds me of Cameron Tucker 😄
Anyone else notice whenever a street name is mentioned, its pretty much always Vinton Street? Was this an ongoing joke thing by the writers?
Wow. S2 E4 the writers really decided to up the ante eh, I’ve only watched five more after Mr. Monk Goes to the Circus… but on tonight’s episode someone handcuffs a toll worker to a rope attached to a car and drives off… is this show going to get increasingly violent?
Who was better for him? Sharona or Natalie?
Made this a few weeks ago after a Monk binge
Sometimes the neurotic Monk steps aside, Officer Monk comes out and you can see that he's a trained professional. I love those scenes. In the episode where they are stuck in traffic for example, when he leans outside of the car window and shoots at the hydraulic system of the truck Natalie is on the damage it so it'll lower and she won't fall off it. Or in the episode where he meets Hal, when he wrestles the gun from him at the end.
Do you agree and can you think of other examples?
This so far has been my favorite episode. It was the first one that Monk figured out before me (with the view of seeing all the angles of course) and there were laugh out loud and tearing up moments! I adore Sherona, but I am really enjoying Natalie and Monk’s relationship and growth. No spoilers but I will say that this and the elephant at the circus episodes are my favorites so far! 🩷
Whenever I recognize an actor - I know they were the guy.
I kind of wish they had more frequent recognizable guest actors either as red herrings or other roles.
It’s become a joke with my wife: recognize that actor? He did it.
Anyone else feel this way?
Apart from that- boy is this an amazing show. Tony Shaloub is a genius. I’ve laughed and cried and find the show so calm and comforting.
I know he wasn't as severe then, but still...Monk... doing those things.... being intimate... it would have been a challenge
My favorite has to be Sheriff Butterfield or the alcoholic flight attendant
It was "Tony's wife characters" the when came from my phones autocorrect
