just looking for badass rock and roll
theres something about the simple folksy/country (idk the right genre) type of beat.
Also the vocals are hauntingly beautiful. kinda like The Weeknd or Cults Always Forever.
i really like how the vocals when he says "cause im off my face, in love with you" any songs like that much appreciated.
I've relistened to this album so many times, it's calm and incredibly cozy. Another album I've smashed through with my bedtime routine is L'Universe De La Mer by Dominique Guiot. I'd love more album recommendations which feel have this feeling of almost already being lost in the land of dreams. Thanks!
Just played Chrono Trigger and it was fun. Tried another RPG and I’d play two hours, all of which was devoted to reading, loading screens, and a 10 minute battle in the middle.
I read books and watch movies for stories. I’ve never cared much about a video game’s stories. I don’t want to spend my whole lunch break reading about the financial relations between the house of Cygardia and the royal family. Makes me want to claw my eyeballs out.
Games like Shining Force, Chrono Trigger are great. Any other suggestions of RPG’s that are video games and not full visual novels would be great. Thanks.
Hi all. I’m looking for something like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Black Crows, & Molly Hachet but with a female singer? This seems to be a hard find for me. I’ve searched the internet, maybe you can help.
Sub-question: why do you think we don’t see many women in groups like this?
I really love the vibe of this song and the way it makes me feel. Specifically the guitar, the piano, and the style of the vocals. I haven't been able to find anything similar to it. Any suggestions?
I'm a fan of the anonymous musical duo Clown Core and their loud, abrasive, unpredictable and meme-y sounds. I'm already familiar with Louis Cole, who's speculated to be the drummer of the duo, and he scratches a similar itch. But I want more :)
Since the passing of Marianne Faithful I have been listening to this album a lot again. I really enjoy the poems being read, is there anything like it that you enjoy, dear reader?
Mama- my chemical romance
The trial- Pink Floyd
Or just songs in general that are very dramatic, I’m into mostly rock and metal but I can listen to almost any genre. I’m into concept albums and songs with dark stories aswell.
I like how it mixes trap beats with a more typical Sinatra-esque sound.
Been trying to find songs like this but hit a block.
Looking for a good regimented home workout that can be streamed. Don’t have access to a DVD player anymore. Thank you!
I’m trying to find authentic, spoken word or rap type music by different artists that then transfers into singing (or screaming) at times. Would also be really cool if I could find women and LGBT ones but not required.
Part of what I love about it is also how there’s such a heartfelt rawly honest feel even through the music video where it’s just MGK sitting solo out in drizzling rain and almost acoustic vibes (even though I know it’s edited but I just mean the more subdued tones).
Is there a website where you can put in a link for an exact song to find musically similar ones? And why does it seem so hard to find songs with a similar mood by women or maybe I‘m just being subconsciously biased
Just love this song. Anyone know any others like it?
IDLES scratches the itch a little but there's something about rock and unserious day-to-day stuff, y'know?
It’s difficult to describe it, because it’s unique to him (in my world, at least). The Internet surely knows better.
Without quoting his extensive Wikipedia style and inspirations sections, I’d say - playfully dark, emotional but with maybe a former punk-adjacent at the helm, if I’m being greedy about it. Orchestra, instrumental.
I love music scores/musicals. I have a ton of Rodgers & Hammerstein. John Williams, Hermann, Philip Glass, Igor Stravinsky, Bela Bartok, Gershwin.
My favorite is Ennio Morricone. But it’s a different mood for different times. As is Trent Reznor.
Based on all this gibberish - WEWIL?

It’s the On My Mind by Jorja Smith live on Tiny Desk. The guitar in this song is beautiful and kind of sounds like Soukous music, but I’m not sure, anyone got music that’s similar to this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for you’re time.
Preferably on either Netflix, Disney, Hulu, or Prime.
Me and my bf are looking for a movie to watch I thoroughly enjoy movies such as interstellar, shutter island, fractured. Lots of horror and mind twisters are my thing my question for you is 1. What movies would u recommend us and 2. What genre should I be looking under to find films similar, feels like I never can. I really enjoyed interstellar because of the cinema and the emotion and the perspective it gave you and the questions it leaves you with, appreciated shutter island for this too, as-well as girl interrupted. I love being left questioning the meaning of life. Plz help thank you🤗
I find that a majority of the shows I tend to really enjoy have really strong visuals. Off the top of my head, Severance, Chernobyl, Dark, and Mad Men all occupy this realm and I loved all of them. Do you guys know of any other shows that showcase this kind of effort and commitment to style?
[IIL] Isaak “wicked game” and sundays “wild horses” *for slow dancing* together at home … what else should I try? Hard to explain what exactly is sought here that makes other posts and comments not really fit. I mean here in particular for a couple, dancing alone, which is kind of the opposite of the question I’ve seen about a song for a wedding first dance. First thing is the feel and the rhythm for such slow dancing. For lyrics it is best if possibly to be Romantic, yearn-y … desire-y. that is good. But not “I am so great” or “you are so great” or even “we are so great” but the feeling of wanting, yearning, desiring.
Lots of lyrics could be disqualifying for this purpose. I like george Michael but “Father Figure” would be bad for this: a kind of dancing we wouldn’t want to do with dad.
i don’t mean to criticize anyone’s tastes but just what would work for me here or not: *Rock* songs slowed down that I read about seem not to fit the desired feel: That Clapton song about wonderful tonight seems wrong to me … somehow condescending or self-congratulatory. Not yearning or desire. That Mayer song seems more like smooth rock in some sense that somehow doesn’t fit. Indie, alt seem more likely to fit. Pop could be ok. For random reasons savage garden “truly madly” works. But maybe that is already kind of alt-pop, not sure.
Maybe Portishead “glory box” which I see recommended. … need to try, not sure. Maybe there’s some massive attack in this neighborhood?
maybe there’s old stuff that works? Not sure.
any ideas?
For example "I'm Here" from the colour purple.
Preferably stuff that crescendos and feels emotionally warm by the end.
Like The Gentlemen, The Sopranos, and Breaking Bad
Love pink moon. It sounds like he wrote it secretly for me. Nothing flashy or cool, just songs from the heart. I hear too much guitars in what I listen to, and want just solo piano, or really anything instead of guitar as the lead instrument.
Already know works of Sufjan Stevens, Paul Simon and Elliot Smith.
I just want more music that allows me to tap into my emotional side. I only have 3 10/10 albums:
Innervisions - Stevie Wonder
Now, Not Yet - half•alive
SaintMotelevision - Saint Motel
Ants from up there is like a 9.99/10, it's my "it has to be better than this to be a 10" album.
I also love Mac Demarco, Strokes, Rex, Mac Miller, but love the doors, Bob Dylan, Simon and Garfunkel, and Billy Joel
Tl:Dr you pretty much can't go wrong with what you reconnect me, I just feel like I'm losing touch with my emotions slowly as the days go on by (tmi, but im on a knock-off antidepressant being used for a migraine suppressant)
Just looking for a WWI-WWII game like GR
I know Sniper Elite might be recommended, but looking for something a bit more open and a bit more focused on a team element ideally
Looking for artful, poetic movies like the above. What I really liked about both was the focus on mythology/stories of spoken word, translated into cinema. I enjoy an ethnographic approach to movie making- paired with beautiful, sensitive cinematography. Anyone have any ideas? Open to TV shows too. Much appreciated!
I really like its vibe. It’s kinda peaceful, but dancy at the same time. Also a little jazzy. I dig that, would love to find something similar. I’m not really familiar with Frank Ocean's discography by the way.
Looking for some recent rock albums (maybe within the past five years) to check out. Really love 3D Country by Geese and Cave World by Viagra Boys
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
