Error 775 satellite connection issue

I've been getting this error almost nightly the past few days. Has anyone ever encountered this? Everything seems to be connected fine and I did the power cycles on as suggested. Any advice on what to do?

Has anyone else seen this EAS alert a couple days ago?

Afaik DIRECTV is not supposed to relay local weather alerts in it's headquarter area being a national service so it's odd they did this.

Mount recomendations

We need to mount a directv dish on a roof eve. What mount would work good for this without looking terrible? We cannot mount on the roof itself. Thanks!

Directv Remote App

Hey all im working on a business account and having a hell of a time trying to get the receivers to show up on the remote app. I have confirmed at least half the boxes are swimm connected and have internet. I can see them pulling ips on our network dashboard. I load the app and sign in but nothing populates on the app. I also have receivers on there with ids that dont match any of our receivers. I cant delete them out of the app and i cant find the ones that are online and on the same network. Any help would be appreciated.

I am using the small oval DECA adapter.

As for the amount of networked boxes that can be on one network is there a limit? I have 20 receivers and 2 of the DECA adaptors.

Nippon TV channel exist?

I looked up the schedule for that channel and I found out that my favorite suspense show "Captured Hospital" is on the schedule along with "Rebooting", a Sakura Ando comedy show. Is the channel a replacement for former TV Japan channel? I'm excited for it.

How many devices can stream at once? I'm a satellite customer using the DirecTV app to stream (NOT a DirecTV STREAM customer).

Title says it all.

I saw this article that states: "Enjoy up to three streams at the same time on mobile or streaming devices away from your home network. A maximum of 3 streaming devices can be accessed out of home."

But I'm not sure if that's specific to DirecTV STREAM. Or if it also applies to Satellite customers using the DirecTV app.

Basically, my Dad is the account owner. He is using the DirecTV app to stream from home, rather than the Satellite box, because the box is only in the living room (not his bedroom). And my sister is streaming outside of the home network. Then when I tried (also outside home network), I got an error that there are too many devices.

What's the deal here?

TV JAPAN shutting down

Hey, regarding the recent events of TV JAPAN shutting down, did any of you guys happen to catch the ending of the service? Usually, at the end of a broadcasting day, there tends to be a "THANK YOU FOR WATCHING TV JAPAN" type thing. Did anybody catch this?

Poor signal service

Has anyone experienced very poor signal service lately with tv’s that don’t have a box? It’s much better with my tv that has a box but it freezes up too.

Equipment advice

I currently have a Genie 2 (HS17-500) with a Genie Mini (C61W-400). I used to have 2 Genie Minis, but I wasn't watching the second TV and sent it back. I've had this equipment for five and a half years. Is this the best setup for just 1 TV?

I called in recently for something and they asked if I wanted Gemini. I'm not sure how that's different. I also looked online and saw other receivers like the HR54.

My Genie Mini is working fine other than the screen gets stuck sometimes when I fast forward to live TV. Just wondering if there's anything better than what I currently have. I watched Dish when I visited my parents and the technology seemed a good amount better than what I have. Was hoping mine is just dated and something like Gemini would be more up-to-date.

Edit: I'll add that my Genie 2 is near my Genie Mini. They're a few feet apart.

Fed up with favorite team recording on wrong channel

If I don’t manually go and set every recording, it ALWAYS records the wrong channel because my team is on 696, so it seems to default to the lower number. So instead of recording the game, it records three hours of “you don’t have this channel” on the other team’s broadcast. If it’s my home team; why on Earth would it record any other channel? I’ve had this problem for years and tried to address it through tech support but they just didn’t give a flying F. It is absolutely insane that this problem continues to exist. The thing that pisses me off most about this is that the fix is simple, it’s not hard to program a check of “do they have this channel?”

I have 19 old D12 standard def boxes, 21 H25 boxes and 2 H24 boxes.

Do the D12s have any value? Any tips on the best forum to sell the HD boxes?

Can you use the directv streaming app with directv satellite service?

I currently have directv stream, I'm thinking about switching to the satellite service

If I were to switch to the satellite tv service, can I use just one box and the rest of the tvs in my home the directv app to access content?

Phone app not working on one phone

Been through customer service on the phone and at a store and still have no solution.

My hub and I have identical Samsung s20fe phones. I can log onto the directTV app to watch TV on his phone but not mine.

My phone is updated, 3 reps and the manager at the store can't find anything wrong with the settings or anything else on my phone.

This is the message I get when I try to log in.

Anyone have suggestions?

Did I just get my dad scammed?

My dad has moved into assisted-living and does doesn’t need DIRECTV at his previous home anymore. I was helping him cancel DIRECTV, so I googled DIRECTV on his phone. A website in the search results had a click-on number. I clicked on it, and it asked if I wanted to Open the Phone app, which I did. I ended up in a call center that might be in India. The people were very professional and polite. They took all the information and agreed to cancel the account. Then they said that they needed to have the balance paid, so I provided an account number, routing information, etc. for this last payment. They gave me a confirmation number. I started to worry that I might’ve called Scammers, so I called DIRECTV. The payment that had been asked for had been applied to the account. However, DIRECTV said that they had no record of a cancellation, and that they don’t think the number I called initially was legitimate. now I’m worried that the whole thing was a scam and the $100 payment that was applied was meant to throw us off and make us think that everything was fine

i called the number and they said it was a scam so just a heads up people

AT&T Unlimited Video Loyalty Credit disappeared?

Back when AT&T bought DirecTV, I signed up for DirecTV and connected the 2 accounts. From that point on (June 2017), I have always received a $25 credit each month as a result of having an AT&T Unlimited Wireless Plan. Until a few days ago. All of a sudden, that credit is gone. When I talk to DirecTV, they tell me I have to talk to AT&T and when I talk to AT&T, they say that credit expired and they can't do anything about it. I even went into the local AT&T store today, and the guy there couldn't help me either. I haven't made any changes to my wireless plan and currently have the Unlimited Extra Elite Plan. I'm still getting the $15.99 off for Max as a wireless customer. Does anyone have any idea what I need to do to talk to somebody and get that credit back?

My grandpa wants to connect his direct tv remote to his lg tv to control lg channels

He was thinking of switching to lg channels so he wouldn’t have to pay for cable. But he wants to still use the direcTv remote. Right now it can only control volume, turn tv on/off, and show the input menu. It works perfectly fine on the direcTv cable. Is there a way to replace the lg tv remote with this direcTv remote?

Error 622, frequent disconnections on Genie Mini for 10 days, then everything is fine again?

I had a weird 10 days. I have two Genie Minis that frequently disconnected (Error 622, waiting for a signal) between March 13 until March 22. The orange light was on almost all the time on both minis. It was very difficult to watch TV on those. But the main Genie receiver I had no problems with at all. During that 10 day period, I resetted the main Genie twice a day to see if it cured the problem. But it was to no effect. On Saturday, before I was going to call DirecTV for a technician visit, everything was back to normal... both minis' light was green and I was able to watch TV on them again. I last reset the main Genie on Thursday, never reset it on Friday.

Did anyone else experience something like this before or recently?

PSA: If you subscribed to DirecTV up to 2021 you just got hacked

AT&T got hacked in 2021 and 70M records were just posted online. I've never in my life had an AT&T account but I did have DirecTV until a few months ago and DirecTV is owned by AT&T. I found a website online (won't post it here since I don't know how legit they are) that lets you check if you were impacted by entering you phone number. Entered my cell and it came up empty. Entered my landline which was associated with my DirecTV account and it pulled up the details. In fact it pulled up all personal details that were on file with DirecTV. It also has SSN but mine was incorrect. I don't think DirecTV ever got that which would be the only reason why.

Wnba League pass request

Hello u/DirecTV with all eyes on Catlin Clark during March madness and this past college season, I would like to request we add WNBA LeaguePass to 📡.

We have multiple packages to subscribe to mens sports like NBA LeaguePass but not for the women.

Not everyone has reliable home internet for streaming. Please add wnba League pass as a subscription option for 📡.

If not who else must I write lettet too ... I missed so many Aces games last year due to not having a league pass option.. ..

DIRECtv for business TV remote app stopped working

Hi friends. I have a DirecTV setup for my bar. All the TV boxes are.controlled via the DirecTV app . As of the past couple days, I've not been able to get into the app. It gets stuck on "Retrieving account configuration". Iventriednon multiple device, reinstalled, etc.

Any idea about that?

I just got an email saying I had free MGM plus for three months with no strings attached. At the end of three months they will just turn it off. I checked it out and it’s legit. Just an FYI.

Help: Service codes 771, 772

This past week my DirecTV Satellite service went out. The weather has been clear and we've not changed anything with the setup of any of the recievers. Both the Satellite Dish and cabling are all seemingly fine.

I've tried the red button reset on the HR44 DVR with no luck.

What are some additional troubleshooting steps I might try before having a tech come out?

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Directv Upgrade Scam

This might be duplication but I thought everyone might want to be aware of a possible scam going on.

I just received a call from 800-320-3474 id as "800 Service" saying that they needed to upgrade my Directv box. This lady made sure that I had Directv. I hung up on her and she called me back from the same number. I think that is where is messed up by telling her I had DTV. She said that their techs would be calling back shortly. A few minutes later I received a call from 303-285-0062 id as "D TV". They told me that I would loose all my programming if I didn't do their upgrade. They also said it was required by Directv. I told them that if it was required why didn't I receive a paper notification of some sort along with the bill. They hung up on me.

I have not heard of any upgrades to my HR54/700 system yet. I would think that Directv would send you a notification either by e-mail or USPS letter. I do not trust phone calls from unknown numbers with foreign dialects.
