So some of my favorites are Berserk, Attack on Titan, Ninja Scroll, Alita Battle Angel, Death note, Solo leveling, Sword Art Online, Delicious in Dungeon, Seven Deadly Sins mostly the fantasy Sci fi stuff. Just wondering what else is out there. Just looking for more similar anime to watch. Thanks.
Think I just found a style of romance that I love and think is compelling. Long tenured, unhurried, slow to develop. Tried searching around but haven’t quite been able to find anything close to it which would make so much sense. Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
I am trying to get into the show. There’s something about it that’s throwing me off. I will be honest the chainsaw transformation is not my style. Did you enjoy the story more than the action? Other than it being a shonen and supernatural what else can you say about this show?
Hello all! I just finished watching 86 (by the way GOD TEIR anime if you haven't watched it, watch it immediately and bring tissues) and I need some recommendations. I haven't had a lot of anime that made me tear up or gave me heart happy feelings at the end like this one did and it'd be nice to find another or atleast close to it.
To give you a bit on insight as to what I'm looking for I've loved Code Geass, Fairy tail, Gundam 00/Iron Blood, Air Gear, Case Study Of Vanitas, Black Clover and a lot more but those are the main that popped into my head.
Though I did enjoy sports ones like Haikyuu and Kuruko's Basketball.
I'm clearly not too interested in solely slice of life/romance but I don't mind it as an add on.
I don't like a lot of anime that have the main characters that look like just pure animated children so definetly none like that if you understand what I mean haha.
Definetly need some form of action, supernatural, fantasy, mecca or genres similar.
Either way other than a few things I listed I'm open to checking out a lot so if you have any recommendations please let me know and thank you for your time! :)
P.S. watch 86 you won't regret it!
I need suggestions as I’m new. I’ve seen mha, jjk, spy family, high card, summertime rendering, and Diabolik lovers
Hey! I am entirely new to anime — meaning I’ve never watched anything. To be honest I don’t even know what makes anime anime. Anyway: please give me some recommendations of anime that are good for first-time watchers. And give me your reasons why you like anime so much! :) Curious to see what the hype is about. Thanks!
This isn’t a joke I’m just wondering if it’s a good anime to start off with and if not could you all give me some recommendations for starter anime’s?
It was newer animation, looked historical vibes like My Next Life as a Villainess and has a prince/nobleman (?) with long purple hair as a playboy type being surprised the female MC isn't interested in him. Been looking for a while, so if anyone can help please.
Yeah i wanted to watch Swords Art Online, But it is: long(not a big problem, only a tiny, at least it would last long), very gore(very big problem, never seen this much violence), very nsfw(seriously who puts rape and nudity in such a good anime… Oh, Its author). So i would like an anime, that has similar genre(system, everyone gets kidnapped, leveling, skills…), and does not have gore, nsfw content. Thank you beforehand.
Hello, I’ve recently got into anime, but am struggling to find something new to enjoy.
I started with Tokyo Goul and loved it and have since watched: Demon slayer, One punch man, 7 deadly sins, JuJutsu Kaisen, ATLA (I know it isn’t anime but similar thing), dragon ball Z
Is there anything anyone could suggest for me to watch?
It seems like country music is slowly sneaking into anime. Between Unwanted Undead Adventurer (Keep Your Fire Burning by Mao Abe) and Tonari no Yokai- San (Iro no Naka by Kubo Aoi), it seems like more and more anime are getting country/ country- influenced music to go with them. Besides these two and Konosuba (Ouchi ni Kaeritai), are there any other shows/ movies that feature songs like this?
I'm a fan of American country music, so I'd be interested to see what else Japan has to offer
I was watching "Ace of diamond" the other day and the website I was watching it on didn't even show that the anime had Ova?? So is there any place where I can find out these stuff? I don't wanna miss anything if I'm watching an anime weather it's an Ova or Ona or special episode movie season anything at all
for me, when I first started watching anime, I never noticed the bad animation;
For example, I never noticed that seven deadly sins S3 had a bad animation until I saw people mention it. But then when S4 came out, I couldn't finish it.
Just like the title says i need anime recommendations. I would perfer something with a few seasons. Some of the anime I've watched and liked are: One piece, Naruto, JJK, Demon Slayer, Haikyuu, Blue lock, AOT, Kaiju no 8 (read the manga) and windbreaker (read the manga)
Feel free to recommend some other genre as I'm not picky these are just a few that I personally have liked!
I tried Hotaru no Haka, Fumetsu no Anata e, Violet Evergarden, and Koe no Katachi after a ton of people recommended it to me, and while they were sad, I didn’t cry.
Some anime that did however make me cry are:
Fruits Basket (peak)
Anohana (too damn good)
Orange (interesting plot)
Wonder Egg Priority (except the shitty ending)
Made in Abyss (sometimes)
4-gatsu wa Kimi no Uso (powerful soundtrack)
3-gatsu no lion (plain amazing, wish there was another season)
Is there anything I should try based on these?
So the anime I may watch next Are re zero neon genius evangalion death note cowboy bebop idk I've watched most popular Shonen already like onepiece naurto blesch hxh and more and I like watching shows that don't follow a completely predictable plot.
Heyo.
I'm hoping someone can help me find something to scratch a particular itch.
I love fantasy. On the anime/manga side, i dig Berserk, Record of Lodoss War, Inuyasha, Freiren, Dorohedoro, and Attack on Titan; outside that, I love things like LotR, GoT, His Dark Materials, the Witcher, Warhammer 40K, D&D, Guillermo del Toro's work, etc... I gravitate towards darker high fantasy worlds. Great world building and characters make me a happy camper. I really dislike most isekai, especially when there's the video game aspect.
My monkey brain also really likes boobs. Like... a lot. I want something where the protag or the love interest is stacked, but that's not all there is to her. Not necessarily looking for hentai. If there's sex or nudity, I want that to be a treat, not the main dish. Bonus points if she's an elf, goblin, or some other fantasy race.
Thanks, y'all.

Some people said that Pokemon was the show that made anime mainstream in the US in the 90s and 2000s. Do you think that Pokemon was actually the reason why anime became mainstream in the US back in the 90s and 2000s, or was it something else?
So right off the bat, I want to apologize for yet another anime suggestion post, but I feel like what I am looking for is specific enough to warrant its own post. I recently finished Neon Genesis Evangelion, EoE, and the rebuilds, and now I am looking for something in a similar vein. I understand NGE really is its own unique thing, but I thought I’d list some of my favorite aspects of the show and request recommendations based on that.
Maybe it will help if I note that some other anime I have really enjoyed include Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers, Cyberpunk: Edge Runners, and obviously the majority of the Ghibli catalog. I understand these don’t necessarily conform to my above criteria, but if I could get some suggestions on some shows that meet at least some of these criteria I would greatly appreciate it.
P.S. I’ll also mention that I have already been recommended Serial Experiments Lain and Gurren Lagann and plan to watch them both.

Are you the type of person that wait every week new episode od the show to watch or you wait for it to finish before starting?
by that, I mean that the character was excpected to be a side character that no one will remember at the end of the series;
but then, it had a bigger rule in the story or maybe a more complex personality;
for me, it's Dimple from Mob psycho. (the reasoning is in the comment section)
I desperately need something to watch. Idk how brainrotted I am but I can only watch something if I get like a premonition and I’m like damn ts was so good. So can you just list some semi obscure to really popular shows to stimulate something in my mind
