I've read about Magic Square (Kameas) but they aren't how this damn thing is made. I've read a damn Wikihow on how they're made, but it doesn't explain it either! I've looked at tutorials on how they're made, but none of them seem to even have been used to make this sigil.

I'm referencing the whole 72 Goetia here, from The Lesser Key of Solomon, and I've been trying to figure out how each of their sigils was made, and I'm starting to lose it! Am I missing something?! Were they just made in this fashion to appear ancient! I DON'T KNOW!

Yesterday I went for a walk with a friend who is an energy healer and practices energy healings and meditations really a lot. Advanced stuff and he's been initiated into many systems! I expected to be able to feel something in their aura, something different, but they felt like a normal person to me. Why?

I'm looking for help identifying this marking. I'm not sure if it's angelic, demonic, or some form of rune. I'll give the backstory to it... I had a dream when I was 15 that I was in a dimly lit room that had what looked like black floor to ceiling curtains covering all the walls. There were no windows and the only light was coming from candles that were on a huge black table that was in a V shape. I could see outlines of at least 20 figures seated along the outer side of the table, but I couldn't make out faces or any other descriptors. Myself and maybe 9 other people of varying ages were standing in the inner part of the desk and closer to where the point of the V was. One by one we were all led to the point of the desk by small misshapen creatures (at the time I saw them as demons) I'm not sure what they were. Once at the head of the table the "demons" looked to whoever was sitting on the opposite side of the table. If they waved their hand to the side, the person was led away. If the shadow nodded their head, we were branded with a mark. I woke up after I was branded and that's where the dream ended. When I woke up I looked at my left arm where I was branded in my dream because it felt so real and I saw a small scar that matched the pic in this post. The scar faded over time, but I can still see a faint outline of it when I tan during the summers. In my late 20's I had it incorporated into a skull tattoo (the other pic). Now, I'm 50 years old and I can't get it out of my head. I've had dreams of the room multiple times, but now I'm sitting at the table and there are people standing in front of me on the opposite side. I always wake up before I see anything else happen. I've looked for this symbol everywhere that I can think to look, but I can't find it anywhere. So, I'm turning to the internet and Reddit to hopefully find some answers. So I was scrolling through reddit and I find a post about this ritual. Someone explained that it included three people, one acted as the seeker, the other as the teacher and the last as the guardian. I tried to find some more information on this but google only gave me the story of the 3 laughing monks that went about China and made people laugh by laughing themselves.

I really want to dive into the grimoires and get myself in the circle, and do the big rituals and conjuartions. However, I am currently in a situation where it isn't possible to do anything like this at home. I am still very dependent on my Christian parents, and it would just be far too difficult to hide a big ritual in our small house, and not good for me if I am ever caught.

I'm working hard to achieve my independence, but it's going to be some time. I don't want to wait to begin my magical path and building relationships with the spirits.

How can I get started, even if it be small magical acts, that can help me get the ball rolling and will be easy to hide?

Hey, Reddit fam! So, my dad was doing some yard work, when he stumbled upon something really strange. As he was pulling out weeds near the fence, he discovered a figure wrapped in roots, holding an orb with red string tied around it.

We’re from the Caribbean and this is the second “voodoo” piece we found over the years around our yard. At least that’s the only thing we could think of.

Crowley and others have suggested in the LRP to visualize the archangels holding a scale (ל) and sword (א) since their names end with אל (al) and Lamed is Libra and Aleph is Air. But what about angels whose names end with יה (iah)? I've been looking in Liber 777 but I can't figure it out.

I don’t often make posts of this nature, but I do need a bit of community input this time. I’ve always passed it off as being a distraction. But it’s always been a similarly shaped blob and nothing more. I meditated today in a way I haven’t in a long time, and immediately I’m hit with this image so vividly I’m almost certain it was intentional. It’s what I’ve always been seeing but clearly.

I’m curious about what others have to say, if anything, about this. I’ve personally thought maybe Arachne, however as somewhat of skeptic I’m tempted to say not quite. It doesn’t fit in my belief system.

Probably not directly related to occult, but I'm curious what local users think about this, as the sub feels more open-minded than many similar others and has people from various different slews of belief or even non-belief systems.

What puzzles me the most is if you ask pretty much any person about this, regardless of their faith, almost everyone will understand what you mean, and can share their own perspectives on this. Meaning, no one will question what you're even talking about and will not have much difficulty to formulate opinion on this, even a person with completely materialistic views.

Of course, certain worldview does affect specific quirks of the soul idea, but general understanding of it is rather monolithic, so to say. And most faith systems I know of incorporate the idea of a soul as one of the main principles. Can't even remember one, where this concept is missing, at least in different way of interpretation.

Frankly, I do understand what people mean by "soul" too, but when I think deeper about this, it doesn't really make much sense to me and feels very confusing to understand and describe it correctly.

Why do you think this idea is so widespread and generally accepted? Is it really important to possess a soul for an individual? More importantly, if, say, you, dear reader, at some point became convinced that soul does not exist, will it impact your belief system, be it official religion, occult or anything else? If yes, how exactly?

I also wonder, are there any people practicing, who do not believe in the existence of soul?
