“A new religious movement (NRM), also known as alternative spirituality or a new religion, is a religious or spiritual group that has modern origins and is peripheral to its society's dominant religious culture. NRMs can be novel in origin or they can be part of a wider religion, in which case they are distinct from pre-existing denominations.” - Wikipedia

I am trying to revive my cultural religion, Mēr'-Ib/Mherj'Ib, As I am the only person to practice it.

My culture has been dead for a while now, I don't know the exact date of death… but it was around the 1880's when the last Mēr' Tribe, Nochau, converted completely to Islam. I have nothing against their decision or Islam, but I would also like not being the only Mēr'-Â person I know due to my mom's death a year and a half ago. I was raised with this culture in Central Texas, so I obviously had a hard time anyway with who I was at home vs who I was at school and around my family. But after my mom's passing I realized that Mēr' may die with me, and I do not want that; So I have decided to take it to any and all platforms I can to try and introduce people to my culture and religion so they could choose to convert thenselves. As of right now I am the only Priestess of my Temple which makes me the High Priestess; and as there are no more noble houses, so I am the acting head and lone member of the High Council. The first 31 people who convert would fill in the other seats on the council and the Matriarchy of their closest house based off of their personality and genetic traits. Now to clear any questions on genetic traits, Race does not matter… only tanning capacity, eyes, hair, & frame; As no one is related to the Ancient Mēr'-Â, who died in a genocide during the late 7th to early 8th centuries. So please contact me in the comments if you wish to learn more and possibly join my mission to revive my culture, and possibly yours too one day.
