I’m not sure but I may have repressed memories. Certain memories creep up but there’s not a lot of detail to them. Can reiki release those memories? I’ve been too afraid of exploring them in therapy for fear of false memories. Is it even real?

Does anyone have experience with Reiki Plus or David Jarrell as a teacher or mentor? My teacher presented a traditional Usui curriculum but their lineage is through David and Virginia Samdahl. I was wondering where I might find more information about my lineage.

I received my Reiki I and II attunement about a year ago. I’ve been working on continuing my education and practicing, but it bothers me that I don’t feel more sensitive to a client’s energy. I’ve noticed this in other areas as well. I don’t feel energy from crystals when I work with them, and I always feel a little jealous when people describe their experiences of being so sensitive to these energies. I don’t know if it’s because I tend to be an extremely logical and rational person, and maybe I’m subconsciously blocking it out? I just can’t help but feel like something is wrong when I don’t really feel much. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any tips for deepening their sensitivity to energies? I’m withdrawing from prozac and trying to reinstate it which has been extremely challenging and leaving me unable to do much this past month. Every day is a struggle with brain fog, tinnitus, physical symptoms like body pain, exhaustion, anxiety and a lot of other stuff.

I’ve started seeing a healer, two different healers did sessions on me this week. One on Monday and one yesterday. Both times something profound happened in my body, in my legs and head - think I’m really sensitive to it.

Since Monday I’ve been experiencing some pretty heightened anxiety which is new at this level, I’ve had anxiety with everything im going through but now it feels like it’s gone up a notch. Had an anxiety attack this evening and had a to lie down but it felt like so much was coming out my body, in a positive way.

Could this intense emotional reaction be a healing crisis? ive also experienced some flu symptoms like hot prickly skin and head aches, along with other energetic sensations in my legs.

It’s so hard to tell as this could also be from with withdrawals from my medication or following from the healing sessions. withdrawals are brutal and really testing, but something is telling me it’s a good sign from the healing.

Has anyone experienced extreme anxiety that comes in waves from healing? Is this normal?

Hi all :) I have an experience Im interested in getting some feedback on and/or just to see if how I feel about it is a valid hypothesis. It does require some back story though.

Backstory- all of my sisters, myself, my mom, and my dad (and paternal grandmother) all have some sort of psychic gift to varying degrees. I’m a psychic medium and practice reiki. All of my siblings and my dad are/were psychic to some degree. My mom though…I’m not really sure how to describe her gift. She knows when people are about to pass. She smells certain scents. But she absolutely maintains that us girls got our “knowing” from daddy and his mom. She has never had anything related to that. I am the only one who practices reiki and seem to be the one with the strongest gift. I’ve talked at length about reiki to my mom and she’s supportive but doesn’t seem to think it came from either side of the family.

A few days ago one of my sisters went into labor with her 3rd baby. Both previous births have been traumatic to varying degrees and the drs did a good job scaring her to death for this one about how big the baby was. Mama wasn’t going to go to the hospital for this one since she’d been there for the others and the bf’s mom was there (and was a L&D nurse). Sometime around 12 o’clock the youngest sister said she just jumped up and ran out of the house saying my laboring sister needed her. When she got to the hospital my sister was violently quaking, pale, and terrified. My mom, who typically is so passive it’s sometimes painful to watch, kicked the bf’s mother out, told the bf to go get a warm blanket, then sat down and held/rubbed my sisters hand. My sister stoped quaking and fell asleep almost immediately. But anytime mama tried to let go of her hand, even sleeping, she would wake up and start shaking again.

I know there’s a lot to be said for having your mom as a support during birth. But the way everyone described it was similar to how I’ve seen some of my friends react when I’ve worked on them. It just seemed so bizarre to me that it was just so immediate? She was sleeping through contractions as long as mama held her hand. Could she have been doing reiki or something similar without knowing it?

They say the universe removes people from your life who no longer serve you. This has happened to me before in romance and friend relationships. So now I've been asking and setting my intentions for the last year or so, to remove two people in particular from my life, as they no longer serve my best and highest good. They're still around me. Why are those people not being removed when others have?

Anyone with experience here? I like their certifications due to the teachers, Jennifer and Gregmar. The owner, Sam, seems in it for the money, yet removed from the actual quality of it - constantly pushing and pushing for more classes, making people pay for any reprints of manuals, getting dates wrong in peoples certificates etc.

If not for the individual teachers, I would not recommend taking a certification here.

during a distance session, if the participant isn't fully accepting the reiki / there's some kind of block or resistance, would that be something a practitioner would somehow notice? if so, how (is it felt, simply known, etc)?

would/should the practitioner mention that to the participant?

(bonus question: is complimenting the participant's energy customary?)

I’m a mom to 18 month old triplets. I used to work in a hospital based setting that has Reiki volunteers. I knew about them but never thought about trying it until I was about 4-5 months pregnant.

I got pregnant naturally and found out that it was triplets (2 girls, 1 boy) about a month in. My husband and I were absolutely shocked, to say the least. We were told my medical teams that I should expect a very early delivery and some NICU time. I’m a type 1 diabetic too, so I was preparing myself for an intense pregnancy and difficult labor/delivery.

Anyway, about 4 months into my pregnancy, I decided to try Reiki with one of the most lovely volunteers in our organization. She’s been providing Reiki for over 500 patients. She is incredible and has the warmest spirit. I figured, why not?

During my first session, I felt my babies communicating with me. They kept saying, “we’re good, mama” and “we’re fine, mama” and “you are happy, healthy, and strong.” It brought tears to my eyes and was very relaxing.

The next session was even more incredible. We were 10 minutes in and suddenly I felt images floating. There was a baby deer on the floor of the forest, calmly observing. I knew immediately that it was “baby A.” Then I noticed a big tall sturdy tree next to the fawn and I saw a little black bear cub climbing his way up. Immediately, I knew it was “baby B.” Finally, traveling further up the branches, I saw a beautiful blue bird chirping and bouncing around. That was “baby C.” The big strong tree is an important symbol in my marriage, too. It was absolutely breath-taking.

I told this story to my family members and my sisters and they have all honored and appreciated the likenesses between my babies and their respective animal pairings. I’ll always think of them as my deer, bear, and bird.

Hi, all. I know what reiki IS. I'm a reiki practitioner. I've been practicing for over a year. My reiki teacher has no idea about any of this, which is a question I got on another forum.

I recognize that reiki is used on the living for healing and vitality and whatnot. But I have the ability to work with the dead, to remove energy from cemeteries, and release stagnant beings from the trappings of their memorials, as well as the presence of the mourners. I have been using the idea of reiki to create this transition for those beings.

I understand that when people die they typically pass over and are in the spirit realm, chilling, and living their best lives without all the pain and agony and regrets of being a human - but what about those who don't? Ghosts and bad energy of places are all tied to people and those vibrational frequencies are left as residue. Whether it be mourners in a cemetery, the person themselves in the grave who is unable to separate from their body for whatever reason, or trapped energy in a home (like literally a haunted mansion in this example) I can feel all of this energy and the nuance of it all. I know exactly what it is when I come across it.

So I'm really wondering if there is any way to contextualize this type of spiritual work in the realm of reiki? What is the cross over? Why do I feel like I can use reiki and its powerful symbols to lift and separate people who are stuck here? I know that isn't what reiki is or what it is used for. However, is there like... a way where this type of magic I have is being transfigured into what the dead need for their ability to let go? I have a really hard time putting this into words. I don't know anyone else who does this. And all the reiki healers are telling me I'm wrong and I "can't" do it.

This is all curiosity here. What words would you use to describe this type of healing? Is this something any of you have thought about? Are any of you able to feel energy/vibrations/frequencies like this?

One example is Chakras, but that's honestly the only one I can think of. Can you list below other "maps" and systems for working with the subtle energies and emotions of the body and your experience with them? Thanks. (Btw I'm not a reiki practitioner just want to find an external system to help guide me in understanding my subtle emotions and energies).

I would obviously not pursue this, but my energy loves to call out to his and my energy really wants to be held by his if that makes sense. I think as he helps me heal, I feel a lot of gratitude and I haven’t had anyone help before like this, plus he uses touch, which I enjoy. I’m out of my element, is this more of a gratitude thing? I’m embarrassed by my response! I don’t think he’s doing any nefarious, as in attaching a cord or something it feels more like a “me” thing

Is it possible to work on your own energy without a reiki healer? If so, how?

Years ago I had a reiki master ground me. I never heard of it before, but she took my hand and list off all my organs on my hand. When she went behind me and hovered her hands over my shoulders I felt this intense heat (that was not painful at all) in the organs she listed. Nothing else in my body felt this way. Only the things she listed.

I actually tried to get away from her hands because I didn’t know what was happening to me. But her grounding worked.

So a couple of years later when my uncle was in the hospital on life support I tried to do for him. I put my hand over his heart and focused whatever positive energy I had to make his heart beat normally. I was watching the vital monitor and saw his vitals going back to normal. It was only when the doctor came in that I drew my hand away from embarrassment when his vitals dropped below abnormal again. I took it as just a coincidence and left it at that.

Tonight, when I was telling my friend about it we decided to try it on her to see what would happen. We could tell something was happening because when I felt this sort of vibration heat come through my hand she could feel it.

So I’m just wondering if this is something I can actually do to help people, or is it just me being able to mental control my hands to heat up so they can feel the heat?

Might be a noobie question but what happens when I put one hand on the patient and one on myself? I don’t remember this being mentioned during my training.

Context: the patient is my partner, I’m laying next to him in bed and it wouldn’t be comfortable to put both hands on him. Thx

Last night before bed I did self reiki while meditating. I activated the symbols chokurei, seheki, daikumyo, and zonar.

Then I kept getting very faint images of white hands and arms. White body. It wasn’t like a glowing magical light white body. It was just white white. Colorless. What could that mean?

I fell asleep but later in the night I woke up and had the same similar visions. I don’t get visions often. Maybe once every few months. So when I do I am super intrigued and freaked lol

If you have any ideas on how to interpret this vision or what it could mean or anything I’d really love to hear from you.

Hi. I’m a RM. last night, had a dream that I was in a hospital with an elderly woman, in her room. She had some disease(probably cancer), and she was asking me if I knew of other treatments. I kept saying “no”, but I also kept giving her Reiki at the same time. Honestly the only dream I’ve ever had about Reiki. Weird. Any thoughts on interpretation of this dream?🤔

i drew the power symbol on my index finger with a regular ink pen as i have heard that electricity flows through the index finger first before it enters the palm lines in palmistry. Good energy is flowing to me and i feel my mind clearing up quickly.

Is bodywriting a safe practice in reiki and how should i go about doing it better?

I have been told multiple times that I have a black aura around me and that people can sense my sadness, not that it’s bad but it’s just “there”. I also have random crying spells that feel like they are purging??for lack of a better term. I’ve had them for a few years that I can’t seem to control they just come up even when I don’t particularly feel a way towards anything or what I’m saying (they happen while I’m talking too sometimes). I’ve been through some really traumatic situations and I’m in therapy, but even though I feel like mentally I’ve processed for the most part I still feel blocked in this energy. I feel like I’m coasting through life on autopilot. Any suggestions? Is reiki the right move?

If reiki is universal energy, it feels wrong to charge for it. Everyone can cultivate it, and it is a fundamental part of existence. Yet when I was training they said a condition of learning is that you will always charge for it. It doesn't feel right to me. What does anyone else think or feel?

I had a reiki session for the first time yesterday and it was amazing! My reiki master was so wonderful and I felt so much healing and many bad things being released. I felt so much peace afterwards.

Unfortunately, I woke up in the middle of the night last night with a bad panic attack. I’m no stranger to panic attacks, I’m just confused as to why I got one after feeling so relaxed and being cleansed. Could the panic attack be related to the reiki session at all?

Any suggestions on how can I recover after this? What should I do? Im sad because I feel it has had a negative effect on all the positive that was just done.

One other thing - could this be a psychic or spiritual attack? It may sound crazy, but I became so much more intuitive and connected after my session, and that was my first thought when I woke up panicking…

I'm looking into reiki body scan someone who can check my energy levels why they are low, where I have energy blockages. I want to eee where the imbalances in my body are and what they are.. I'm in constant pain, its hard for me to relax and sleep without taking something chemically to help which I hate. I have so much tension in my body and pain..I have been feeling so disconnected. My emotions can be imbalanced and chaotic... I have been to the drs and they generally dont seem to know how to help me. Please message me if you can or would like to help. Thank you.
