Dear empaths/energy workers I started massage school and realized I can feel the energy transfer while I work on clients/friends. I have tried ways to protect my field, but it happens anyways.

I'm wondering if I should learn more about energy healing? What is your experience with your initiation into energy work?

Also.. for those who understand what I'm talking about...

Since I've become more aware of this energy.. I've noticed that, when my partner puts his hand on my heart.. I get an intense feeling of heavy energy.. im not sure how I feel about it, but it feels overwhelming.. is this a good thing or bad thing? I've been feeling protective of him placing his hands on my heart lately since.

I was attuned by a teacher and started working with people. All is good, my abilities are unlocking in very interesting ways.

This one night while sleeping I see a female entity come to me I instantly identified her as my sister (I have no blood sisters irl). I was conscious in my dream and it resembled astral projection a lot.. I'm used to astral projection, sometimes voluntarily sometimes involuntary. (I have verified my projections multiple times).

Anyway I wasn't practicing reiki that much during this period of time and I see this female entity come to me and I'm so preplexed I know I don't have any sisters but she felt like my sister. We shared a light kiss on the mouth (felt more like connection than lust) and I put my head on her thighs and then she said I needed healing on my heart chakra. She drew the second symbol and put her hands on my back it was so intense I woke up and I kept feeling the effects while I was awake which lasted a couple of minutes. After it I felt like this big tension was off of me.

Do you think this is a soul sister who came to me? Do you think this is a vision of the future? Did you ever have this sort of experience?

I am currently in the middle of a very painful auto inflammatory flair up which results in skin problems and joint pain for me. Right now the pain is the worst in both of my hands/thumbs, both of my writsts, both of my hips and my left knee/leg/foot. I am also hoping for some reiki to inhibit the general inflammation in my body.

I help my friend clearing and align their chakra and after that I got sick it happen 2 me everytime why is is this happening , Do I reviece negative energy from them?

I don't know that is this coincidence but 3 times I practice energy healing for other and the next day I got cold or at least got sick in some shape of form I don't know why this is happening to you when you first practicing it? Please enlighten me

I came across some good reiki videos on youtube, and I’ve just been watching them in front of me the whole time. Am I supposed to do that and nothing else? Is the video supposed to be in front of me at all times? Do I need to be able to see it? Or does it have to be facing me somehow?

For me personally I feel it the best/most when I have the video in front of me. But I am wondering about efficiency overall.

Does anyone know a therapist who can reverse reiki attunement? I know there are some therapists in Germany who do this.

Hello everyone! I'd like to thank all of you for helping with the humanitarian reiki recently :) Your contributions really do make it easier to perform global healings.

I'd like to ask again for everyone to please help us with this humanitarian effort.

For those of you who don't know what this is, it's effectively a weekly online healing circle for humanitarian issues that is run by me and the reiki masters at r/Reikishare. I have ensured that this healing will last for a full week. You do not need to send healing for a week, just contribute what you can :) I set this up to go for a week so that everyone, in every time zone and circumstance, can contribute if they like and so that these issues can get a full week's worth of healing from a collective.

A lot of Reiki masters already do this kind of thing, but I want to bring it to Reddit because I think more people will be able to join in this way. We can do more with more people and if I've learnt anything in doing Reiki, it's that when you work with one or more person for a healing, you can do so much more than you can on your own.

We collectively have an incredibly powerful healing tool at our disposal and I want to wield it for the good of all. I'm also open to other energy healing modalities being added to this healing, I will not be exclusive to Reiki when people are in need.

For Level 1s, if you want to add your Reiki to this humanitarian Reiki effort, I have provided all the distance symbols necessary for Reiki 1s to assist and programmed Reiki with intention to assist you. Here are your instructions on how to join:

1. Pace yourself. Choose only one situation from the list below, doing only one at a time will ensure you can do more in the long run.
2. Write down your chosen situation on a piece of paper, this turns that paper into a proxy.
3. Place your hands over the written situation and say, "Reiki, please add this healing to OtakuScientist's healing circle to heal humanitarian crises."
4. If you start to feel sick from sending too much Reiki, stop immediately and do some self care and rest.

It's okay if you can only get to one situation. Do as much as you safely can without burning yourself out. If you can only do it for 5 mins, that's okay. 5 mins is better than nothing. Your contributions, no matter how small, are helpful :)

For those of you wondering how it is that Level 1s can contribute, do you remember at the end of your traditional Usui Reiki Level 1 workshop, the Reiki master gathering us all around in a circle and the Reiki master saying, "Imagine Earth is at the centre of this circle. Let's all raise our hands towards it and send Reiki to it." And us healing Earth for a good 10 mins. Well, this is like that, except on a larger scale, and in an online setting.

For Level 2s if you want to add your Reiki to this field, I'll share my spin on a technique I learnt in my Traditional Usui level 2 class. It does not require a proxy. This is also a technique for setting up a healing field:

1. Do the Distance Symbol (personally, when I do this, I see the Distance Symbol turning into a bag, ready to hold and collect extra Reiki)
2. Add as many symbols as you are called to add, let the Distance Symbol-bag collect your added symbols
3. Tell Reiki where you want the healing to go. In this case, say, "Reiki, please add this healing to OtakuScientist's healing circle to heal humanitarian crises."
4. Let the Distance Symbol do its thing, carry on with your day.

I am only one person and I cannot know every humanitarian crisis going on at the moment. So if you know of any humanitarian crises that I haven't addressed (I'm sure there are others), please comment them below and I'll ensure that healing gets to that situation.

So far, I've set the healing circle to go to:

• war in the Congo
• Gaza
• climate change at large
• natural disasters
• homelessness
• recent flooding in Spain
• Sudan
• Yemen
• Libya
• vulnerable people
• Myanmar
• Tibet
• all oppressed peoples

As for the issue of permission, you can send Reiki to a general situation without requiring permission from people because it is healing the situation rather than the people themselves. But I also ask Reiki to go to people if their higher selves agree to receive the reiki.

I have been a Reiki master for years and I am no longer practicing. What is happening?

So this was my first “official” reiki session. My breathing as the session progressed became more and more rapid. During my session my hands felt like they were vibrating, they kept sparking like my hand had fallen asleep. I noticed towards the end of the session my hands were cramping more and more into this contorted claw like shape. My mouth I also noticed was pursed so much that I couldn’t speak normally. I wasn’t scared, I did feel relaxed. But just wondered if this has happened to anyone else?? I was the one having the reiki performed on them. Just interesting

My grandmother received reiki sessions twice in her life. The second time being about ten years after the first by two different people. She ended up losing her battle with pancreatic cancer about two years after her last reiki.

After both of her sessions, both people asked if she smoked because they both got a strong “feeling” (?) when they went over her throat, almost like they couldn’t breathe. Can anyone offer insight on this?

She did smoke from ages 18- maybe 30 but didn’t have any issues related to it.

My grandmas been gone for four years now and I think about this a lot!

I’m sick and can barely move. I’m sending all of myself out to try to help those in need, but it’s left me drained close to the point of death. I can’t withdraw my help without abandoning those I’m protecting, but the effort has almost ended me. Please help me, friends. I don’t know what to do.

Hi I hope everyone is ok! Does anyone get random reiki that comes out of nowhere? I’ve been getting really strong pulses of energy each night on my feet and I have not activated reiki. It just puzzles me as it’s so strong and it’s only started happening in the last week. I’ve been trained in reiki for 15 years and really only use it on myself or on friends and family. I often wonder if it’s loved ones (who have passed away) sending me reiki. I’ve lost my mum, grandma and grandad in recent years. I know that my great grandad and my grandad were healers and I think my mum had the gift but didn’t use it as much. With one touch she could always make my migraine go away! Has anyone else experienced this? I’m very grateful for it just I’m wondering if they are warning me about my health!

Hello I am from India and recently did reiki level 1 course and doing 21 days cleansing process. The person who did the attunement for me is very busy with classes and doesn't reply to messages. I have been suffering from lower back pain after an injury in a gym. Which specific points/chakras should be healed for this ?

This question may have been asked before, but I’m curious what people think of book attunements or those who play trial and error with energy systems. I don’t often think of myself as reiki attuned even though I am book attuned to a very simple reiki tool.

I’ve never had an attunement from another person for reiki, but I have had teachers tune me to the spiritual frequency of various things, so I know how the process works.

Do any of you consider book or self led attunements invalid and why? Why do those of you who do consider this valid feel secure in that?

Over December and this month I went for three energy healing sessions. The first two sessions were wonderful- I felt great afterwards. After the third session two weeks ago I felt incredibly depressed and anxious for three days, I could hardly function, but it passed. I have my fourth session booked in today and I’m really scared it will happen again - do you think I should go?

so i am navajo we have a saying in our language “the holy ones” are the ones we are guides by. and i found when i became psychic / hand healer (yk the kind where you don’t ask for it and it hits you like a bus out of nowhere). I have found when i became this way, I kept drawing stars over & over (i kept a sketchbook during this transition) and I had closed my eyes once during whenever this crazy transition was happening i had meditated in the middle of it and saw my family and I and who we are (stars) and there was golden stars lined up and connected. I had then connected this with my Grandpa who is a medicine man and does healing work with the stars and night ceremonies. I grew up watching him cleanse people using his body by sucking out the bad energy and spitting it out , i’m not sure his exact prayers etc but i know (everyone knows) he was guided by the stars because he always needed his ceremonies at night to talk to them. When i later became a healer naturally and experienced in dmt, my intention was to ask my healing ability and my ancestors showed , took me to the cosmos in the hogan (traditional navajo home) and i was there and came back then an ancestor told me to put my hands up to the sky and i saw two stars and the moon, and under was my grandpa across the hogan. He told me basically i have the same abilities of my grandpa. I want to understand now, what does starseed mean to others ? because to me a starseed is my grandfather and i , someone who has the ability of talking and healing with the stars, I know it is of stars because when i do my hand symbols etc they are not symbols. they are star constellations connecting to specific healing energies. This is all very specific work i am okay with sharing with because the hand gestures he does not do. The hand gestures are new, it was trembling but now it is the star constellation connecting. I would like to find more who knows exactly what i speak of. thank you.

I am native and we have strong beliefs of to not share your abilities in detail or to even tell people you have the ability unless needed. What is your opinion about this superstition? I am always desiring to share my abilities but due to me being native i fear people will steal my culture so i have to wait a couple amount of years to get the proper voice
