Supernatural or psychological

Thers is a clear dissonance in the work of manly p hall and the likes of carl jung- in that one sees it as some sort of metaphysical enigma (manly p hall) and the other implies that it is a facet of a higher form of self improvement. I am new to the idea of alchemy, out of the two, which notion of alchemy should i journey into?

Who were the Lords of Dawn on this Statement by Manly P Hall?

When the human race learns to read the language of symbolism, a great veil will fall from the eyes of men. They shall then know truth and, more than that, they shall realize that from the beginning truth has been in the world unrecognized, save by a small but gradually increasing number appointed by the Lords of the Dawn as ministers to the needs of human creatures struggling co regain their consciousness of divinity.

Micro Ecosystems

"All is one" is a powerful concept, which explains the Global Problems - what we do, affects others and the Whole.

But when we solve those problems, we see just the dark destiny, it's not going to happen that everybody is solving the problems.

One day it inspired me that on Earth, there are some extremely pure and clean places, not polluted by humans. I started to think that maybe we should see the global problems also local on the fractal - and maybe, our Material Karma allows that: the Earth might be polluted and in global, physical problems, but our own home is purified; and somehow, our lives are purified. I started to think that maybe the Earth is able to respond like that - you clean or transmute all the material things in your life, and in turn, you can somehow eat clean food even when the Earth is toxic, you can breathe fresh air when it's polluted and so on.

I think it's impossible to turn this how we affect each others completely backwards, but maybe we should think in terms of micro ecosystems? For example, I cannot really guarantee that the whole city is living clean life, and then, it seems like nothing if I do - but it's really not nothing if I meditate on material things and raise a higher material vibration. In society, in Buddhism it's widely known that then you are on different Loka and this means living in different society; your Karma somehow reaches back and you see only those people. On material plane, it's harder to imagine that the pure air you created will reach you back - but maybe it's somehow true?

I noticed the following arguments also:

  • If you live a clean life, at least you learn to live this and it can become critical and paradoxes would go away. So eventually you will teach others and they do not pay the cost.
  • If the Mother Earth has to destroy the humankind to save something, maybe if many people have better material karma, only one part of society is destroyed in global accident. It's like in story of Noah, if God did not destroy everybody, the flood would have been different.
  • If you die and be reborn, also you might be reborn on purer and cleaner planet.

They seem Global, but in Buddhist system Space element is what connects material things together and disconnects them. So if you have better material karma, maybe the Space would connect you with better matter?

I studied some basis of Alchemy, but I reached mostly my conclusion that if Alchemy is to transcend matter to higher vibration, then I need to study those vibrations and achieve good karma in relation to material things; it's like word-by-word what Alchemy is supposed to do, but more reachable for me. But there is this hard thing that my material state might be raised or lowered by what others do - but then, people who have better material connection, do they eventually reach a very clean and pure place in their life, despite the matter of others being corrupt and polluted? Does the matter and the United Ecosystem account specific people also? I got a very strong intuition that this is an important question, and maybe it can do that - and it's more easier for me to think that instead of doing the impossible and telling all the people to live better, I create my own little material ecosystem and teach it to others, and maybe in time, people might be corrupt, but those few people reach the pure and clean material conditions anyway - maybe this, also, has to do with your personal vibration, not only the collective Karma on Earth? I think I have nothing to lose if I think like that.

Cobalt

For anyone interested, the following link has some observations I have made on Cobalt. There is too much to list on a post here so I have compiled it on a basic website with charts and images.

Deposition

I've been looking around and I cent seem to find any symbols or real references to deposition. the opposite of sublimation. Wouldn't past alchemist had to deal with chemical or mineral deposits on their tools and apparati when working? How would they have percieved it? Would they have seen it as a gas skipping the liquid phase and going straight to solid or just seen it as a "dust" collecting? I have noticed references to certain specific deposits that were given specific names (non that i can remember of course) and meanings, but I'm more wondering if there was an overall symbol or "catagory" for or even an alchemical understanding of the idea of deposited materials.

Thought?

Song about Alchemy? or Not?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Uq-7FhJ0Oo

By Frida - from Abba.

Lyrics: - To Turn the Stone

The moon retreats behind a silver cloud

As darkness throws its cloak towards the earth

And mystery replaces what we thought we knew

To turn the stone

to turn the stone.

The one dimension only shows one side

But do we see the same through different eyes?

As you and I peer into life's kaleidoscope

To turn the stone

to turn the stone.

Eternal sands of time shift endlessly

Behind a veil of motionless disguise

An eyelid flash is all it really seems to need

To turn the stone

to turn the stone

To turn the stone

to turn the stone.

Looking for the alchemical symbol that represents “coagulation”.

Hi. I don't know anything about alchemy, but I am looking for something that represents “coagulation”, the element that represents the process or whatever synonym is used for instead. The best I could find was this thing, but I'm not willing to trust a random symbol with no evidence, so I'm looking for info. Can anyone help?

Thanks for advance.

Succinate and dry distillation

Amazing how pharmacopoeia is indebted to alchemical thought. On a dry distillation, one yields succinate via its acid form. This is handy when prolonging the half life of drugs

Indeed, one can go through culpepper and basically see the precursors to most drugs on the market.

What is bioengineering but animal work?

Just food for thought

Sustainable Transmutations The Traveler Part 2

https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/inner-work-guide/episodes/Sustainable-Transmutations-The-Traveler-Part-2-e2ht3v2

After twelve months of living in the cave's inner darkness, emergence into physical light felt like going through a second birth. The searing pain of the light when it hit his eyes and the burning when it touched his skin made him think he was mother and child in one, for indeed, he had experienced the disorienting agony of his rebirth. He had faced those shadows crawling up from his internal Stygian dark...and won?

Alchemy, Archemy and Conspiracy?

So I'm watching a video series on John Dee's Monas Heiroglyphica at the moment and in it up pops a reference to something called Voarchadumie from a guy named Giovanni Agostino Panteo, who was a Venetian Catholic priest of the 15/16th century. The work was authorised and sponsored by Pope Leo X , but more specifically the Council of Ten (of the Venetian Republic).

It basically is a denouncement of all Alchemie and the author states that Alchemie is: "... something that should be got rid of altogether"!

Now the author Panteo is NOT saying the principles of Alchemie are 'false' and therefore evil in the eye of God (as per Catholic dogma) but rather Alchemists are 'false' philosophers and what is true and real is ARCHEMIE!? (From the Vo-arch(adu)mie above).

That it is this that allows man to transform lower metals into Gold and Silver.

In 1834, the French dictionary of Napoleon Landais defined the archimi as "Art of making gold and silver. The archimia differs from alchemy in that it generally occupies the transmutation of imperfect metals into more perfect ones." (? how is that different?) The French-English dictionary of Porquet, in 1844, defined the archimie as "chemical analysis of metals". Marcelin Berthelot compiles the archemical works described in ancient papyri or manuscripts.

For Fulcanelli11, alchemy is esoteric, the archimi and the exoteric spagyria. Alchemy is "hermetic science", a "spiritualist chemistry" that "trying to penetrate the mysterious dynamism that presides" to the "transformation" of "natural bodies". The archimi pursued roughly one of the aims of alchemy ("the transmutation of metals into one another"), but it used "only materials and chemical means", it confined itself to the "mineral kingdom".

According to Patrick Rivière, the archimi is the art of counterfeit precious metals, especially gold and silver12.

Above courtesy of French Wikipedia.

So do we have here the indications of the original 'split' between Spiritual and Operational Alchemy?

Is Alchemy esoteric as per Fulcanelli and Archemie that which becomes modern Chemistry, a further off-shoot being the 'medicinal' Spagyria? Discuss.

Given that Panteo's work (which was an obsession of John Dee and was discussed by many scholars for a couple of generations before falling out of favour a little) has the dedication to the Council of Ten, who basically were the inquisitors of the Venice government and had the power to punish 'enemies of the State', could it be that he was 'encouraged' to write so as to denounce Alchemy, while at the same time offering a 'Church approved' version that eliminated the Alchemist's ability to find and evolve his own 'Soul' without the control of the Catholic Church?...

... or have I simply been watching way to many Conspiracy videos on X and You-tube?
