Are there any comedy novels you've read that have felt fall in line with Dr. LaVey's philosophy that you could recommend?

Hey all! I'd like to recommend a book I recently read for my Satanic Book Club: "The Mysterious Stranger" by Mark Twain. It has a unique and thought-provoking portrayal of Satan, delving into themes that challenge conventional moral perspectives. Twain's depiction of Satan as a cynical, misanthropic character provides a fun look into the essence of life and humanity's moral sense.

The way Satan condescendingly views human actions and compares them to animals adds a layer of complexity to the narrative, it lead us to have some deeper philosophical discussions and also gave us some laughs. It's entertaining but also offers some great insights, and I think it a must-read for anyone interested in exploring the nuances of satanic themes in literature.

Some further info: Twain rote it intermittently between 1897 and 1908. It remained unfinished at the time of his death, and various editions exist based on his incomplete manuscripts. It is fairly short.

I read the version published by 1st World Library in 2004. I'd love to hear what people think of it!

Bare with me please. I once upon a time downloaded an occult library off pirate bay in 2013-14? anyways there was a book on satanism/ demons and the likes (in a positives way I reckon). But one of the only things I can remember in the book. Was it describing ways you've known a demon has made contact. And i remember it saying you would feel a hot touch on the skin being one of them. I remember doing a ritual to summon something, and right before I went to bed, I felt the touch on my left shoulder, wasn't painful but very distinct. I shortly after that got very spooked and made the mistake of doing it when my girlfriend was home ( didn't know I did that) and she woke to me muttering to myself trying to banish it by calling out to local spirits. anyhow if anyone knows what I'm talking about Drop a line.

And is there anything about Christianity that you don’t dislike and anything about Satanism that you still wonder about or that doesn’t totally sit right/resonate with you yet though?

I am surprised that anybody hasn't written about this yet. In the Eastern Europe it is absolutely classic and people are arguing if it is pro Christian or pro Satan ;)

Not even kidding. Saw 665 members. I knew what I had to do. Really, this whole story isn't that complex, or very interesting. But it did happen, no denying that. But should all things that happen be talked about or have posts made for them? Probably not. But anyway, the real point is that I am Member #666 and you are not, which means.... Nothing? I want to write some short stories based around either Satan, Lucifer, Baphomet, or something about the hypocrisies about Christianity, but I can't come up with anything really. I only have two ideas so far. Does anyone have any ideas of a story they'd like to read that I could possibly write? Thanks! 🤘🏽

To you, creation’s mighty principle, matter and spirit reason and sense

Whilst the wine sparkles in cups like the soul in the eye

Whilst earth and sun exchange their smiles and words of love

And shudders from their secret embrace run down from the mountains, and the plain throbs with new life

To you my daring verses are unleashed, you I invoke, O Satan monarch of the feast.

And you whom the raging pyre could not destroy, voices of destiny, Wycliffe and Huss,

You lift to the winds your waning cry: ‘The new age is dawning, the time has come’.

And already mitres and crowns tremble: from the cloister rebellion rumbles

Preaching defiance in the voice of the cassocked Girolamo Savonarola

As Martin Luther threw off his monkish robes, so throw off your shackles, O mind of man,

And crowned with flame, shoot lightning and thunder; Matter, arise; Satan has won.

Both beautiful and awful a monster is unleashed it scours the oceans is scours the land

Glittering and belching smoke like a volcano, it conquers the hills it devours the plains.

It flies over chasms, then burrows into unknown caverns along deepest paths;

To re-emerge, unconquerable from shore to shore it bellows out like a whirlwind,

He passes by, bringing blessing from place to place, upon his unstoppable chariot of fire
