No Proselytizing. Defined here as: To attempt to convert someone to one's own religious faith. This is a TST sub, but since membership here is not restricted to TST members, we ask only that you respect the choice of other Redditors in this regard.
No Doxing. Any mention of another user's inexplicitly-disclosed personal info will result in a ban, severity of which will be determined according to the offense. It is no secret that there are others who would like to see us harmed or harassed; our Reddit pseudonyms are an important line of defense against this. Do not act against this defense.
No ragebait. Posts that are critical of Christianity are to be expected and allowed here. However, posts that are purely ragebait will get deleted. Holidays:
Jan. 22nd: Roe v. Wade Remembrance Observance
Feb. 15th: Lupercalia
Based on the Roman festival of the same name, Lupercalia falls on February 15. In keeping with the ancient tradition, February 13th and 14th are observed as feast days leading up to the actual holiday. What we are translating this to in TST is a "hail yourself" day. This idea offers a parallel to the "others-centered" traditions of Sol Invictus.
April 30th: Hexennacht
In Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust: a Tragedy (1808), Mephisto and Faust attend the Walpurgisnacht revelry atop Mount Brocken. TST's Hexenacht is a solemn holiday to honor those who were victimized by superstition.
June 6th: Devil's Night Observance

July 25th: Unveiling Day
A centerpiece of our religious movement and icon of modern Satanism, the Baphomet with Children statue was commissioned by The Satanic Temple in 2014 and created by Mark Porter with "respect for diversity and religious minorities" in mind. On July 25, 2015, The Satanic Temple unveiled Baphomet to a large crowd of devotees in Detroit, signaling the beginning of the new Satanic era. We observe this milestone in Satanic history by celebrating Unveiling Day.
Sept. 30th: Blasphemy Day Observance
Oct. 31st: Halloween
Halloween is consistently described as evil, demonic, and satanic by those steeped in religious dogma. Costumes, candy, and facing fears are to be embraced.
Dec. 25th: Sol Invictus
The cult of Sol existed within Rome since its early days as a republic, and Invictus was an epithet used for Jupiter, Mars, and Apollo (among others). The festival celebrated these gods and may have also been used to celebrate the winter solstice, though this is debatable.

Can anyone explain the meaning behind this..and the possibilitys behind it
Weeks have passed, she's not going to leave us alone. Quite the contrary, she's very happy to get some food and sit on or next to us. (BF and myself)
Hail Satan,
Also did you all know that Trump fits lots of the traits of the antichrist? https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/
I love her, she’s my Mother… But I’m tired of every other interaction being a reminder that I’m going to hell because I played COD as a teenager.
Hail Satan and Hail Thyself
Wearing this necklace with pride 😁 hail satan
Hello, I am sorta new to being a Satanist and I want to convert . I say "sorta" because I know some things of Satanism such as how to do rituals but I wanna learn more, such as how do Satanist pray and what do they say instead of "amen" while ending the prayer; like is it " Hail Satan" or something ?? I know for sure you don't end a satanic prayer with " let your will be done" because " do what thou wilt" is what satanist follow, and I'm more experienced with Christianity. I also choose converting to Satanism cause I love Halloween and I find it more cool and beautiful instead of Christmas which I'll be discussing in another post but anyways, Hail Satan !! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸👻👻👹👹👹
Really-I will send my favorite quote a free shirt. Mods, has this been brought up a lot?
I read the rules before posting here so I hope I'm not violating anything. I am a Christian and I was wondering about the 1st Tenet. I ask this question in good faith and I come in peace, I am not attempting to convert or hate on the people here.
Some context for my question: Most Satanists I see online (I don't live in a place where it'd be normal to see any irl) are really hateful people, especially to Christians. There are definitely some self-proclaimed Christians out there (Trump, various mega-church pastors, some conservative influencers) who are awful people and destroy the image of Christianity. I understand that hate/dislike toward those, but it seems like Satanists (the ones I have seen) really hate Christians in general. My question is, is this an accurate representation of the average Satanist? And if so, doesn't this violate the 1st Tenet? Or am I merely seeing the loud minority? The first tenet says to have compassion and empathy (within reason) towards all creatures, but I never see that compassion towards Christians. The basic Christian doctrine is also similar to the first Tenet, love your neighbor as yourself and the Golden Rule, so neither of us should be hating each other, really. I don't think you and me are very different, we believe in loving others as a key importance, but Satanists seem to make an exception towards Christians. Yes, Christians 100% thwart God's commands too, and I condemn that. But I am asking about Satanists, so please don't respond with "Christians do the same" or "it's the Christians who did that first." Are these hateful Satanists an accurate representation, or is disregarding the 1st Tenet when it comes to religious people allowable?
TLDR: Do Satanists generally hate unprovoking Christians? Isn't this a violation of the 1st Tenet?
P.S. I am not trying to come off as aggressive, I actually want to know what the deal is. I would like to think positively of Satanists but it's hard when most I see violate their first "law." We both have our faults and I would love to be proven wrong about most being hateful. I also think the Tenets are pretty great and they align closely with my political beliefs. All love here, no hate.
The Christian baby blood orgy has been postponed indefinitely as, it turns out, very few babies have ever declared themselves Christian.
Hail Thyself! Hail Satan! Hail Lilith!
Greetings satanist I am but a humble atheist here to elaborate something.
We all know Christianity is up there with some baaaad shit. I hate them for it. So i wished to associate with your temple as it’s the opposite to the cross.
I however would not blame you for not wanting me around as this whole enemies this is just bad vibes while you all try to embrace freedom no?
I've been looking into TST a bunch lately after hearing about it. I really like the philosophy behind the Seven Tenets, and the activism from the community is great. However, looking around and seeing some recent posts here it seems like the central organization is fractured or having issues at this point?
Having been raised Catholic I'm sure you all can understand my hesitance to join another problematic religious organization, so I'm a bit curious as to what is going on and what the current state of things are.
I mean no disrespect of course, I'm just trying to get an idea of what's going on and whether I want to get more involved with TST.
