Hello, I'm a huge Total War: Warhammer fan and I don't own anything in the RTS genre. I'm interested because I like the idea of playing something like TWW's real time battles on a smaller, more tactical scale. I also enjoy the resource management of that series too. However, I'm pretty bad at PvP stuff and usually play single-player, but I'm open to the idea if the gameplay is fun enough.
I'm conflicted between the two titles because:
Any opinions on these titles? Thank you in advance!
Im looking to get these games on sale but I cant get all of them at this point
Empires of the Undergrowth
Manor Lords
Frostpunk 2
Sounds stupid, right? But at the same time, you know exactly what it means. There will be the classic base-building structure, workers gathering resources, recruiting units, skirmish-scale combat etc. - just turn-based. And yet it still sounds stupid. What would be a better name? How would you expect a game like this to be described on Steam?
Looking for any RTS war games in which units do not have hitpoints. Does such a game exist? I'm sick and tired of hitting tanks with 5-10 TOW missiles, or helicopters taking 3-5 stingers, which seems to be every game/every genre.
Since I was a kid I’ve been a huge fan of the idea of taking an RTS on the go. In your personal experience what game effectively does that on the steam deck? Using controls will be a slight pain but I made halo wars work on the console when I was younger and was actually very good at it.
I think there are many that with decent touch could be great and I’ll start with one. For me spellforce has the best graphics , complicated stuff, interesting races , different economic compare to most of the games . Still have no clue why the devs just don’t try, I think with the right touch could be next wc3 or wc4 that people want.
What about you guys ?
Greetings everyone!
So, I am going through a "to buy" list, which includes Starcraft and Warcraft. Already got both Starcraft games and Warcraft one and two on gog.
I am a bit hesitant towards Warcraft 3 reforged, however.
Is it worth getting considering there isn't any other option?
Is there a mod or a fan patch or something to improve it?
Ok so hear me out, for the longest time I have had this feverdream of a memory about a demo from an rts made from 2002 to 2005 and never found it in any way.
I'm reasonably sure there was Conflict in the name as I asked for it for a Christmas during that time and got Conflict: desert storm instead..
Missions I played were in a barren environment possibly desert with hills past the base, using mordern/1990s technology, helicopters definitely, the mission was a humanitarian mission involving a largish base, convoys and possibly timers. I don't remember a possibility to create buildings in the mission, i don't even remember fighting going on honestly
Its not Generals, it feels older..
I know it's not much info, more of a bottle in the ocean, but hey, thanks for giving this a go !
New rts game
Hi
can you pause the game and issue commands in Terminator: Dark Fate defiance?
Hello everyone, I’m a veteran of Total War (almost all game), Stellaris, StarCraft 2 & CK3. I love strategy games! But currently getting into a bit more different types of games like RTS: CoH3, Warno and SD2 is on top of my list of this steam sales.
I know they are all very differences but I was wondering which game would be great for massive battles & good amount of active players.
I want to 1v1 or possible more 2v2 and the like with friends what would be the best game for this?
max realism is not the goal but also not simple.

I love close combat games, and my favorite game in the series is Gateway to Caen. However, I really did not like the Bloody First. The LOS and 3D terrain systems don't work well together. I am trying to see if there is one I would like better than Caen. I love the campaign system in that game. Every battle and movement can have compounding effects and ultimately be what loses you the game. I don't like time limits so as long as I can turn them off that will be okay. Otherwise, I own all the games just want to know if it's worth spending my time playing any of the others.
Also, are there any mods to add more campaign maps, setups, etc.
