I'm not complaining though. 🙂
I've played all of the SMT games, I've actually played all of the Persona games too. But I dunno, would I like SMT 5?
So I'm looking to buy a new game. Loved p5, p5 royal, p5 strikers, and p3 reloaded. I also loved metaphor.
I wanna buy smt but... I've heard it's very different and I don't know if I should get it or not. Would I like it? Or is it too different to the point where some atlus fans won't like it?
I could alternatively get unicorn overlord, another atlus game. I love fire emblem and played the demo of unicorn, it was fun. I just wish smtv had a demo
I'm newer to atlas games! I've been itching for a new jrpg and I'm curious which one is a better game? I'm a fan of the high fantasy aesthetic of metaphor but I really value party connections (being a fan of games like final fantasy and fire emblem)
I want to start one of this games but I don’t know which one to chose. The theme of metaphor attracts me more but Persona 5 is way cheaper. I don’t know which one to buy please help😭.
I have finished metaphor and I’d give it an 8.5/10. It’s a game I had a lot of issues with but think is still great. I do hope we get a sequel as I think this series has potential to be a 10/10. P3 is a game I’m also not in love with but you see where they went and how they improved with p4 and p5. I hope the same for metaphor and honestly hope they go slightly different and do a direct sequel. I think that would help this franchise stand out and it’s already teased.
Currently on Eht Ria, already beat the dragon temple. I've waited almost 2 weeks for the stupid Land of Ceremony or Spire of Blind Faith to stop being under the "intense heat" weather condition, because not being able to use weaknesses is fucking miserable (not to mention i'm underleveled as it is, my fault). Is there a certain day where the heat finally dies down? Or is it seriously just hot permanently in those areas? (no story or location spoilers please, just wondering if there's a trigger or something)
As the title suggest im in the first dungeon and notice people have archetypes in their 20s already how is that even possible? ive been fighting everything and still just level 12 with my highest archetype being 11.
Everywhere seems to be sold out in the Uk! Argos, Amazon even?! Does anyone have any links where I could get it from? I’m genuinely shocked I can’t seem to get it from anywhere and I don’t really want to just get it from PSN.
I really like metaphor. So far I would give it a 9/10 and it feels like I’m nearing the end. Part of me does feel disappointed in it. I think it’s lacking social links for some big characters that really could’ve benefited from it, the magic college should’ve been a way bigger deal, and I just feel like the answers to most of the big questions arnt satisfying. I thought the mystery of the world would be interesting but it’s just SMT and I thought the mysteries just are predictable and stuff that has happened in other media. It’s fine for some things but for the massive twists in the game and in an atlus rpg I just expected more.
I also don’t think the game is paced great. I do really like the cast of characters and the gameplay and setting of the story is great.
I just feel lost in a lot of the other stuff going on which I find disappointing. I really wished I could be raving that this is a 10/10 masterpiece but I just can’t. I do need to stress that I do still really enjoy the game. It just doesn’t reach that extra level that I expect from an Atlus rpg. This is all stuff that can likely be fixed in a sequel so I hope the team gets to work on that.
I’d like to hear what others have to say. Maybe some of the games themes and other plot points have just went over my head. I just wish I was in love with this game instead of really liking it.
“No original ideas” is how I’d describe this game.
Hello! I am from Latin America and bought the nanako plush with a friend through Sanshee's webpage. We managed to get through the whole payment process, including setting out shipping destination. The thing is, we were scrolling through the site and noticed this, which was written in a reaaally small font, so we didn't notice it when we first bought it.
"Atlus items are available for online sale in the United States, Canada, Australia, and Europe. Purchase is not available outside these regions, and we retain the right to cancel orders which do not comply."
Has anyone ever bought any atlus plushies outside these nations? If so, did you get it or not? We are hella worried about our baby nanako.
Hello I have the original version of smtv on the switch and I noticed that the original version is unlisted and replaced with vengeance. I wanted to know if I purchase dlc for vengeance on the eshop will it transfer over to the original game too or is it just for the new version? Any answer is appreciated
Updates on the SMT TTRPG. The physical release got pushed back to next year and the digital release got pushed to the 11th of next month. There is also a road map of content planned.
I swear I’m the only one who is not caught up in the hype of Metaphor: ReFantazio, the game really sucks
I don't know if I'm under leveled or just bad. Everyone is level 12 and Will is using mage, Strohl warrior, and Hulkenberg knight. Archetypes are level 8/9. Will being the only one able to hurt then is bad enough but then theres all the attacks that Will and Strohl are weak too so my party is just getting obliterated even if I have everyone guarding in the back row. I might just be trash but this fight is so annoying.
So, I will preface by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed every Atlus game that I've gotten into so far. However, I played the demo for Metaphor and while I enjoy the gameplay, the story and characters didn't really click for me in that amount of time. I know these games can have slower starts where you're just learning the ropes and getting tons of exposition but the other games all pulled me in pretty quickly. The main character that I enjoyed was Gallica.
For reference, the Atlus games I've played are SMT 3, 4 & 5. Persona 3 (portable and remake), 4 and 5 (vanilla and royal) and Soul Hackers 2.
I keep hearing so much praise for Metaphor and I want to know how good does the character development and story get past what is available in the demo if much at all. Is it worth picking up and pushing through or is the demo a good enough representation of what to expect for the whole game?
A lot happened in these last few hours with the opera house and the Rella reveal (which was predictable). But overall I’m definitely enjoying this game a bit more now than I was a handful of hours ago.I think I’m near the end? I wouldn’t say this game is disappointing overall but I do have a lot of small flaws that I didn’t have with p5 and which really hurts it from topping rebirth for my goty. As of where I am in the game rn. Overall it’s been pretty good tho. The cast of characters is finally growing on me, 46 hours in… I hope the game picks up a lot and continues this pace in its final hours.
Only ever played P4, P5 and Metaphor. Metaphor scratched the itch but I want more. Which one should I get first?
I went to Kungfu Tea during the campaign, and got 3 of the same sticker! So I was wondering if anyone had others (specifically protag and Strohl) who would like to do a swap for a Hulkenberg.
Apologies if this is not the place to ask! I don't reddit often
