I am using the 2nd Infantry "Indianhead" division and I am playing against AI. Phase A and B are completely fine but Phase C is a slug for me. I cannot attack well as when I try they always have a Pak killing my AT and a tank to kill anything more fleshy. I cannot use tanks as they'll get torn up by the German Paks and I cannot use my own AT to kill tanks as their Paks always kill my AT. I try to MLRS them but it's just never enough, What can I do?
so quick question, me and my friend started a steel div run together but now he cant join because its in solo, is there anyway to make it multiplayer friendly again?
Need advice on artillery usage and counter battery. People say the counter battery order is good to use but every time I turn it on my artillery gets smashed by my opponents artillery. So I'm either wasting points for nothing or my opponent gets to just blast me unopposed.
Hi everyone i am just looking for answer about chance to hit. Yesterday but also many times before i had 100% chance ti hit and also 100% to penetrate but my AT gun would miss it. For example Yesterday same thing, Panther A, 200m away and side shot, 100% hit chance and 100% pen. My AT missed 2 times and got killed. Is chance to hit not final calculation? How does it work? Shouldn't 100% mean guaranteed hit? I remember in Normandy 44 percentages worked well
Thanks in advance 😊
Hello commanders!
We are the bearers of good news. It’s been a while since we last spoke, but we have some tidbits to share with you regarding good ‘ol Steel Division 2.

I generally only play MP. Is it possible to hop into multiplayer and find games at any time? I am on the US East Coast for Time zone.
Thanks!
I picked up SD: Normandy 44 on a sale for dirt cheap to dip my toe into deck-based RTS games, but it got me wondering what the differences are between it and SD2 besides the setting and lack of Army General mode. From a mechanics standpoint, how is SD2 different from Normandy '44?
Species Information
Common Name: 10v10 Pro
Scientific Name: Wehrabonicus Spurcitia
Special Trait: This organism has adapted an incredibly slow metabolism. This adaptation has caused the usual measure of Actions Per Minute (APM) to result in uselessly small fractions. Experts recommend the use of Minutes Per Action (MPA) instead.
Natural Habitat: NOT A or B phase
Behavior: Attack other organisms for fighting poorly while having made no effort itself.
The video has timestamps in the description to assist in your efforts to learn about this organism.
[No, this player's name is not actually 10v10 Pro, and I don't want to cause trouble for them. Names are censored for that reason. It was too much of a Twilight Zone moment to pass up.]
In the Bobruisk campaign, the Germans have Fw 189 A-2s that have “artillery observer,” but they don’t have any strikes. Why is this? Thank you.
Why are people like this. both in terms of their comments and their gameplay decisions
Edit: I never got a response from them after the game started
They haven't posted in a while. Is the new army general campaign coming out? Hoi4 is getting the new dlc out soon.
First of all, is it the blast radius in cm or something (e.g. 5000 would be 50m radius)? And how does it affect the damage? Does it follow some inverse square law where the damage gets divided by the distance from the target squared, etc.?
Any comments anywhere from Eugen acknowledging this game exists. It kinda feels like they forced out the work they had mostly done (Dukla) and dropped support quietly as to not harm what little sales the game has.
Sorta doomsayer-y of me, but yeah.
Edit: Fortunately, my doomsayer nonsense is wrong. Sweet.
Is it worth it to let these types of fighter planes engage infantry/mgs/support weapons?
I loved the campaigns from SD: Normandy 44. Is there any modded content that does something similar? Or other games?

I just saw a vid of hobotango where one of the pros says this. It may be updated so asking just to be sure.
I've played some of Eugen's base-building RTS games, specifically R.U.S.E and Act of Aggression and enjoyed them, especially R.U.S.E. I've been eyeing SD2 for those WWII vibes, but tbh the whole thing looks I credibly complex and micromanagement heavy, and I'm not sure how I feel about the deck-based aspects of the game. So my question is, are there any deck-based rts games any of you would recommend to get me used to the mechanics before diving headfirst into the complexities of SD2?
Maybe with WARNO map making tools it would be possible to make it here? I know that this game is nearing its end, but maybe to keep the game alive for a few more years it would be possible to grant map making tools? It would be very cool to see someone to make a map like Warsaw, Stalingrad...
At the beginning of a game I tend to be on the backfoot immediately. Then I try to correct it by sending tanks/at guns, but the damage has already been done.
Should I start my games with x number of tanks to prevent this? Is it very division specific?
The one on the right looks like Zhukov, but who is on the left. I think it look like Model, but my friend disagrees.
Originally did coop against bots ages ago, the friend became unable to play. So I started doing 1v1s, and I'm dedinitely a below average player in them but it's fun. Recently though a couple friends bought the game and were interested in 10v10.
I had known 10v10 existed but only played a round one ages ago. Holy smokes.
For starters the 10v10 community are just actual losers, it's harsh but there's not a better word. Consistently it seems like players above level 20 will try to stack a team, swapping to the team with a higher median level so by the time a game starts one team is 25+ and the other is 5-15. It's wild, how is that fun for these people? They will even leave if they see they'll be stuck on the "lower level" team.
Being negative and rude aside, my friends have been having fun and so have I, but every 10v10 a Twilight Zone moment happens.
Last "Twilight Zone" moment was a literal ball of 10+ Panthers driving into a forest and dying to bazookas. I had to double check to see if the person doing it was still a player, truly nature is magnificent.
Can someone explain explain what are these divisions that are gray colour and have big numbers and where to use them?
I was wondering if there was an easier way than something like ninjaripper to export the models (mainly infantry) for use in a WARNO mod. To my understanding, with WARNO accepting Blender imports, all I would need to do is be able to extract the models to blender.
