Saudi Arabia actively criminalises homosexuality with punishments going as far as death penalty. Organising an official event and with government organisation at that is pretty much outright saying that you are fine with that. Which is just so disappointing espeically after last year when SE didn’t give in to Saudi Arabia’s censorship demands about removing Dion’s gay scenes from FFXVI’s Saudi release (which led to it being banned there).

I’m also surprised by the complete silence of the FFXIV community which is very often portrayed as very LGBTQ+ friendly and has a lot of Queer people among itself.
