What video card required (which model checked and suitable) and how much of video memory for Half life Alyx on ultra in 4k? For example using hp reverb g2, vive pro 2 or oculus 3 via link. I have a 3080 ti 12gb and game gives out that there is "not enough" of video memory. Its stable only on medium settings and rarely on high.
Review Bomb these guys trying to sue valve for no reason https://www.google.com/search?q=milberg+london+reviews
Three Chells existing simultaneously in the same space and time! how did this not create an existential paradox?!?
If you're thinking about joining Steam and buying a Steam Deck, read this first.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/search/?q=steam+deck+ban
While there are many legitimate reasons to create a new Steam account and buy a Steam Deck, this will very likely result in your order being cancelled and your account banned.
Why? Because this is the primary metric Valve uses to help fight fraud and scalpers, and new customers are going to get lumped in with them.
While you can appeal this decision, you'll end up spending days trying to convince support that you're not a criminal and be required to provide increasingly privacy-invading details to prove your identity, way more than is necessary to verify the order.
You'll have to wait another 24 hours between every single response from Steam support too. If this happens to you, you'd be better off deleting your account and starting over from scratch.
So how does one go about buying a Steam Deck then?
Alternative solution?
On the official X account for Steam Deck, they just recommended that if you're trying to buy one as a gift or don't have an account, to use the Guest Checkout option:

Will this bypass this problem entirely? I honestly have no idea. That theory is untested. I've already missed out on the Black Friday sale because of this issue, but if/when I'm actually able to get a Steam Deck, I'll update this post.
And if any of you have tips for getting around this, please share.
I got your guy's feedback from the sketches, and after getting BANNED by Reddit because of an error, HERE IS the final piece WITH inspiration for TF2 & Counter-strike. Thank you for your guys feedback you guys are awesome:

Half-Life ends at 2. Portal ends at 2. Left 4 Dead ends at 2. Team Fortress ends at 2. Please release a threequel for these games. PLEASE, VALVE!
So far I've made all 8 Left 4 Dead survivors + the witch, all 9 TF2 mercs + the Civilian, Gordon Freeman, G-Man, & Barney Calhoun from Half-life, Chell from Portal (and I already started making p-body and have plans to make Atlas) + a bunch of other Non-Valve custom figures. Who would you guys like to see on the shelf?
valve is the best company making games/hardware right now. i’ll work for them one day. here’s my little spy figure and set up. no clue where i got him but he’s official.
Why do they look so tasty
Chell and Wheatley
cannot find a single thread online about my problem. im using steamcmd for RimPy but when steamcmd is being used i get the line
"[ 0%] Checking for available update...
httpclient.cpp (91) : Assertion Failed: Can't use HTTPS because steamcommon was compiled without ENABLE_OPENSSLCONNECTION'"
Does anyone know how to solve besides reinstalling? Im not sure what im doing wrong
Dear John Carmackack,
You literally defined my life. You created real video gaming, you are everything... But you as a computer nerd should know about adaptation. I was born, I played Wolf3d. I'm not "OG" The people you developed a game with prior to that were.... Wolfenstein was a maybe good game, where you made some type of money. Doom Was your next game, where you also made money. I'd love to interview you and learn about it, because it wasn't a lot of money, like game devs make today.
Doom2, Double shotgun, not as good maps.. You played it. The earlier cheats were built off it. You Enjoyed a great time in Texas having fun playing an amazing game, multiplayer, well before it became great. I'm very jelous of that experience. You weren't paid a lot by todays standards, but you created excellence.
I've got Half-Life 2 (20th Anniversary Edition) purchased and ready to go, but what are some other exclusives worth adding to my wishlist?
Ideally, games NOT available on Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch.
Update #1: Well, I just had my order cancelled and my account banned, so gonna have to put the welcome wagon on hold. Looks like this issue is way more common than I realized: https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/search/?q=steam+deck+ban. 😔
Update #2: I finally got a response 24 hours later and as I jump through all these uncomfortable hoops to prove to them I'm not a criminal and am just a gamer who wants to get into PC gaming with a Steam Deck, I have to wait another 24 hours for every new response from them. And guess what, my fear came true, all the decks that were on sale are indeed now sold out.
I have never worked so hard just to give someone my money. If someone somehow finds this thread before buying a Steam Deck who's new to Steam (and there are many legitimate reasons why that might be the case), instead of just signing up and buying one as any normal person would do, you have to work around the system (scalper behavior) to avoid getting banned. You have to spend at least $5 on buying games and let your account age for at least a few months, but the longer, the better I'm sure, then try to buy a Steam Deck.
I would love to hear from Valve themselves if they think this is a good system or a broken system. Maybe it's the best system possible to deal with a difficult situation, but I have a suggestion for improvement at just a glance. Instead of outright cancelling someone's order and banning their account so they lose their place in line, why not just put their order on hold, give them X amount of time to verify X, Y, and Z, and then do all that if they either don't respond or can't verify?
I'm sure they consider this an acceptable loss of customers when they have a limited stock anyway, but what a terrible introduction to something you were previously excited about.
So as someone who uses the Steam Deck as their main PC, I felt that it's missing one major thing. A proper keyboard that's natively supported.
Besides using QMK/VIA compatible keyboards, there's limited options for configuring keyboards on the Steam Deck. There's a lack of software support for Linux from keyboard manufacturers. The immutable nature of Steam OS makes using other keyboard software from GITHUB more complicated (not to mention the average person shouldn't require Linux skills to use and risk messing up their Console-Like experience).
I mocked up a Steam Keyboard layout that I hope gains some traction. Let me know what ya'll think of the concept.

This is mainly just me rambling, but I find it hilarious that Valve has such a huge problem with making a 3rd game.
Half life: 1 and 2 was great, love all of it and it was a great story. Not so sure about episode 2 hl2, but they stopped making is because of probably 2 reasons. Did some research and found out that hl3 was having to much conflict with the play style and their engine source had problems with episode 3.
Portal: I only played half of portal, portal 2 was my game. It’s honestly a good game, I wouldn’t mind a third one. Though, valve doesn’t want to produce anymore of portal and that it’s “complete” which is true. The story can and does close, but the lead for portal 2 has brought up multiple times for a 3rd game but gets denied every time.
Team fortress: I’ve never even touched 1, but I almost have 1000 hours on the second (gmod is where it’s at) I haven’t found anything talking about tf3. Except for, valve wants to just maintain tf2 and I mean why make a 3rd game when the second game still hasn’t died and still has a player base?
Dota: I’m not really sure what to say about this game. I’ve never really got into Dota2 but it was a neat game. They didn’t really make a 3, they made a WHOLE NEW GAME and instead of calling it 3 they called it Dota 2: reborn. They just added an extra word instead of making a 3, even if it’s the 3rd game. I feel like Dota2: reborn is a gray area, more like an extended version of the game I guess?
That’s really all the most popular games that they have. Gmod is a very popular game but it isn’t even going to get a 2nd game and it makes sense. It’s a sandbox for half-life 2 and soon TF2 was introduced as well. A lot of Source2 and CS:GO texture as well but mainly half-life 2. Not really sure why valve hates the number 3 at the end of their games but long story short. They have good games and I wouldn’t mind a 3rd game of half life or portal. What do yall guys think though?
When every valve game was turned into free, I immediately got the game and did a few matches and after that I downloaded some other free valve games and forgot about left 4 dead, a few days passed and when I thought I was going to boot up the game, it was labeled as purchase even tho I've already downloaded before, can someone tell me why did has happened?
The gravity gun even shows up in Half Life 2 its not just Garry's mod
