So I have taken a pretty big break from the game and started playing again. I have mentioned some questions that I ask myself when I play and some things not changing are killing my drive. I actually love dota to the core and just wish some things would change.
What happen to grim in high mmr and pro Dota, is he WEAK?
Monkey king has true strike, thats it, why isn't this a thing already? he literally has the monkey king bar, make it make sense!
Iāve seen pro players mostly play dota and move the camera with the camera grip and itās so hard for me to learn and I wonder what you guys use and is it worth learning camera grip or should I stick to the edge pan?!
As a 40-year-old OG pc gamer, I hate the landscape of today's gamer base and everything it entails. It's essentially ruined the core fundamentals of Dota 2. What I really hate is this whole theatrics of PMA and what it's done to this game.
Let me try to break this down as best as I can.
People who are already nice already never had issues with the game. This post isn't for them.
This post is for the people that are true "GAMERS". The ones that try hard, the ones that talk shit after owning, the ones that talk shit after getting owned. 99% of the time the shit talking was all in good fun; razzing each other back and forth throughout your various Dota games. Sure sometimes things got a little heated but at the end of the day it was just a game and people online never have anything to worry about since you're never going to meet the person that your shit talking.
This was and still is a huge core of online gaming and if you don't believe so you're just lying to yourself. The problem is now, with the introduction of communication score, ANY shit talking gets immediately reported and soon enough you get muted in game. This in conjunction with your overall communication score going down literally inhibits your game in a negative fashion by disallowing pings, and voice chat, etc etc. This is essentially a reverse pay to win mechanic as in a shit talk and get handicapped for future games mechanic. It gets so bad with lack of communication features that the game almost becomes unplayable for the duration of your negative score. And dont get me started on the difficulty of raising your score vs lowering it. Its like a 10x difference.
OBVIOUSLY im not asking for everyone to be able to just be toxic little shits, but BASIC shit talking SHOULDN'T be punished so god damn hard as its a huge part of what really makes dota... DOTA. You cant have a competitive game with no room for smack. But this is exactly what Dota 2s state of the game is.
i have 12k behavior score but dipped to sub 7K comm score and it's been that way for over a month. I never grief, i never leave games, and I'm always nice to my fellow team mates (unless they're talking shit to me). But I still can't help but tell the enemy heros to occasionally "stay in fountain please" or "?????".
i am willing to bet that MORE OG players would QUIT dota 2 because of this Toxic Positivity before new players quit because of shit talking. A lot of new players KNOW that people can be toxic and KNOW what they're getting into. But OG players hate this fake positivity.
One things for sure, valve needs to FIX the communication report system and allow people to just be themselves, but within boundaries. The state we're in now is so fucking ass and absolutely no one likes it. Why can't we just have freedom of speech and if someone wants to mute you, they can already. Why force muting a player? Its so fucked.
K that's all I got.
TL;DR: COMMUNCATION system is ass and needs a rework. Game becomes unplayable and unenjoyable the lower your communication score gets. OG players can't stand toxic positivity and we want our GAME BACK. People should be able to shit talk to an extent without getting muted for an entire game.
Seriously I am queueing for 20+ mins, its a disaster. PLAY WITH ME.
As a support main I find it ridiculous that a single item can counter most defensive mechanics. It dispels ghost form, eul and aeon disk, prevents force staff, makes a lot of saves impossible for supports like Oracle, Pugna or Bane... the list goes on. And it's for only 4,375 gold - just 325 gold more than a bkb.
If a high damage jumper carry like PA or Spec gets nullifier, it's simply game over for the support as it seems that the only purchasable counters for it are bkb and linken (which you can easily cancel). And these aren't really good items for supports for the most part. And when you see the enemy with a sacred relic in their inventory, it's already too late to think about any of these two.
My suggestions:
Option 1 - Make it dispellable. Even with a strong dispel. It could still dispel aeon disk, but prevents pre-casting it. It could let supports like Abaddon have more impact in mid to late game.
Option 2 - Increase cooldown to like 40s. SD ult does the same thing but has 70/65/60s cd, which makes SD players to pick their targets more carefully. Meanwhile nullifier has a 10s cooldown with only 5s downtime. For comparison eul has a 23s cd, wind waker 13s - both of which also apply a basic dispel, but just once. While eul is understandable, wind waker costs 2,450 gold more than nullifier (yes, I know you can save yourself and your allies so well with it, but still).
Option 3 - Remove the continuous dispel and make it dispel once or twice. E.g. dispel at the start and at the end of the debuff duration. Hell, even make it dispel every 2s and increase the duration to 6s. It's gonna be still a real pain in the ass, but manageable.
Option 4 - Remove the dispel mechanic whatsoever and make it mute the target (or mute and silence). Still very hard to play against, but allows you team to try to save you.
It all falls down to using the nullifier skillfully. Add the possibility to counter it, if you don't have a support like Dazzle or SD in team. Then the good usage would be decided by your or your enemy's skill. I've already lost so many easy games, where it was only one or two fights away to win just because the enemy carry bought nullifier and focused a poor pos 4/5, that can save allies, but couldn't save himself from it.
Is it still the Aui_2000 kick or is there anything comparable
I lost a game as a pos 3 WK, was doing fine, max damage done/received in the end and pos 4 was Visage, who put 6 wards in the whole game, 0 impact, didnāt even pick his ult in 17th level, built pos 3 itemsā¦ Just a complete useless of a support player (and another AM carry who farmed 40 minutes). There was a lot of shittalk. Lo and behold, in the next game we queued against each other, pos 4 (me lion) vs pos 5 (him venom). We made a comeback from 9-35 to winning the 65 minutes game with 23 finger deaths. Satisfaction after winning such a comeback, especially against a guy who shit talked and cost you the game previously in the same team is orgasmic.
Hey everyone so I'm brand new to the game I play LOL but so far I'm loving dota2 so I'm curious what are tips and tricks you can give me and also what are the best supports and how to continually move without clicking all the time.?
Not expecting much to come from this, but just posting with a sigh and a hope that valve will do something, someday.

What do you want to see in the new patch patch that's coming soon?!
I personally would like to see:
More versatile meta with many playable carries & midlaners rather than just 2 or 3 broken ones per role.
Let farm be more important to prevent "snowbally" drafts that just run at you and not let you farm nor farm themselves but stomp you anyway
Reduce the number of Glyphs somehow.
If no.3 is applied, make towers stronger to limit some heroes diving under tower without problems as early as <7 mins into the game.
Remove the break mechanic from the yellow small camp (idk what they're called)
Nerf Axe. The hero is not popular in the pro scene but it's an absolute menace to go against in pubs.
Nerf Glimmer Cape's movespeed buff.
Finally, some heroes and facets reworks. Like jugg's ulti, magnus RRP and many more.
These are some of my wishes, ik probably a bit too biased towards the "Carry" role as a carry player myself but don't go mad at me in the comments as if I'm the one deciding what goes into the game. It's just some wishlist.
Let's see what y'all want to be changed.
That is enough
