Zero-K is a FREE, multiplatform, open-source RTS game. It aims to be dynamic, action-packed and hassle-free, full of clever strategies and constantly moving combat with games lasting an average 20-30 minutes.
Some of the more prominent features:
Epic Scale from tiny flea-bots to huge mechs and gigantic superweapons that wreak havoc - hundreds or thousands of units on the battlefield, all easily viewable with a fully pannable and zoomable camera.
Realistic Physics mean each shot is physically simulated realtime - you can actually evade bullets if you micro-manage your units! Hills and terrain affect line of sight and radar coverage, and explosions deform the terrain.
Planet Wars lets you take control of your own planet and fight for survival in an ongoing online campaign!

Around what difficulty is the bleeding edge ai exactly? is it harder or easier than brutal ai?
So i finally finished the campaign. I really loved it, but DO I suck at it...
Do anyone know where if there is more lore? What was the >!Starsong !<supposed to be?
Just avoid this game in multiplayer except maybe some 1v1 because it is very very toxic. Alternatively, just put everybody on ignore.
I've looked through old forum posts and I cannot find options to play as chickens against an AI or against friends in a custom game. Could somebody please explain the process? Thank you!
I'm trying to beat Chickens on Insane, because it's a fun challenge. But I'm having some problems getting rid of the spikers if they build up - they out range the units I have during that phase (kodachis vs chickens, flak tanks vs the birds). I've tried a number of things - tanks, fencers, tons of static - but it all eventually comes apart. Any tips?
every other sound in the game isnt too loud, i've turn the volume way down. But every time a nuke gets launched i shit myself BECAUSE ITS SO DAMN LOUD
Is is this a bug or am i too blind to see a button somehwere?
So if i want to saturate an area quickly?
I was under the impression that only ballistic guns (Big Bertha, Cerberus) could gain distance from being placed on high ground. But I can see in one of the loading screen screenshots a Lucifer placed on terraformed tall ground. Does that increase the Lucifer's range? Is it a worthwhile strategy?
Hey! This game is pretty cool. There's so much to learn, though.
Something I think would help me personally is if I could do skirmishes against the AI with just select groups of units so I'm not so overwhelmed trying to understand what everything does and how this unit best supports that unit and so on. Is there a way to restrict myself in the AI to only playing with certain groups of units? Like just jump bots and just rover bots or stuff like that? Same with certain types of buildings?
I saw an older post where someone said something about there being a disabled units button in the advanced options when you're setting up a skirmish but it's not there now.
Is there a Zero-K bulk map download option anywhere ?.. maybe like a torrent or do i need to download the desired maps one at a time
I'm curious what unit has the best mass to hit points.
so i wonderd yesterday what units people like and hate so i made a tier maker thing with all the units in the game, from every factory and the chickens and so on so if you would like to rank the units please do as i feel like it would be cool to see what units people like and hate
Not many people on rn so I thought I'd ask here
So my game was running fine for the last 3 days and today sudenly when i tried to play against ai the game would randomly crash and disble all the audio in my pc, how can i fix that?
Selection rank is good, but I would prefer to choose units with that selection rank, which gives the maximum amount of selected units. For example, if I have one combat units (selection rank is 3) surrounded by several constructors (SR is 2), picking this by selection box definitely means that I want to select all constructors instead of picking only one combat unit. Usually it happens when I try to pick all constructors around a factory that is currently creating a new unit.
I'm sure I saw this approach to selection in some other RTS game, but I don't remember what exactly it was.
I just wanted to ask if there is a multiplayer planned for the campain.
My friend and I are arguing over how big the stuff is in Zero-k. I said that because there are trees are certain maps, that you can show how big a unit is. He says that trees vary in height, and I sort of agree With him.
Is there any sort of measurement for the units in Zero-k?
Does Zero K have a sandbox mode?
