Has there ever been word about having a post-WW2 title (like 1946-1947) operation unthinkable kind of idea? I think it would be fascinating to have a What if title with the IS-3, T-44, Pershings, and all those whacky weaponry that came out right after the war's end. Do you guys think that would make for an interesting title to play or is it just too much of a what-if scenario for the series?
I just saw earlier today some posts about the IS-3 and then the Forgotten Weapons video on the RP-46 and thought "that would be neat to play with in Combat Mission"
I would love to know what you guys think about it!

Specifically in the ww2 games?
Tiger 2 in Barbarossa to Berlina, simply gigachad, no one can destroy him from the front at a distance, the best of the best, I also noticed that large caliber guns, such as the is 2, are very inaccurate, which gives the tiger 2 an advantage.
Tiger 2 in Red Thunder is very weak, I understand that is2 is able to penetrate the lower plate but, is 2 at a distance of 500m is able to penetrate a turret or damage a tank. In addition, I noticed that is 2 is also favored, often gets penetration for zero damage, and has a very accurate gun, which makes tiger 2 a joke in this game.

getting understand spotting system in this game is way difficult than any sim games i played and it almost drives me cry.

I played CM series for quite a while and find myself suffering a lot due to sometimes either not fully understanding plans and missions(I know the military terms but can't really picture the plans written), or just straight up rush things a bit and end up with probably avoidable casualties, this is even worse when playing ww2 settings where comm tech is way less common and advanced as well as accuracy of fire support. And only able to play well in small to tiny scenarios. Felt quite shameful as I'm currently working on attending my country's military officer academy and being somewhat shit at this series makes me worry I might end up as a incompetent junior combat officer and may only be good for say admin or paperwork jobs(which is exactly what I want to avoid by joining the army).
Anyhow I can improve my performance?(mindset or technical tips)
I'm a visual learner so I always try to picture the plans when reading it
I thought of downloading the trial versions but it would be faster if I could just get the videos lol. Any help?

Hi, I am new to cm , I own sf2 and bs on steam and I totally suck on them but what can you do about it . As the title says , I want to change the unit icons when I spot the enemy , I found the Vins units icons from Haples videos but I don't know how to install them , any idea ?
Lan/real time multiplayer is working in [Cold war] But in [Shock force 2] ; it gives me connecting. And not working...

Hey there, gentlemen,
I just bought the Downfall DLC for CMFB and I tried the "Time of a Hero" scenario where you have to conduct a company level attack to a fortified german position in a farm. As support teams you have 2 Vickers MMG and one 81mm mortar team, followed by two more some minutes later.
As I moved my company towards the german position, I noticed almost none on my soldiers could fire to suppress the germans, helping the assault element to move forward. My men are in a wheat field. Although it's great to help concealment, I just can't order my men to area fire and they don't even spot the enemy when shooting at the mortar teams.
Am I missing something here ? What could I do to at least help my men fire on the enemy ? In this scenario, there is no other solution than to cross the wheat field to advance.

I like to play against the Tac Ai a lot in large scale custom games because in my opinion they are pretty fun to do especially when you use the max amount of points for your army. I prefer to play online players but I don’t necessarily know where to find any. It’s annoying to play the tac Ai, sometimes for example a company size worth of infantry will just group of together in a few buildings and not spread out at all, or sometimes they all just randomly decide to do a huge meatwave assault. As realistic as the game is. I just wished the Ai was a slightly tad smarter.
The short and sweet version is, this game is making me feel like a total idiot, with no sense of strategy or tactics. How the heck can I get past the first U.S. mission?
The long version:
I have tried four times to successfully get my reinforcements to the objective. Each and every time, they get decimated by the mines, the one infantry unit in a small house, and the armored vehicle next to the house. Things I have attempted include:
-Dismounting the engineers and approaching from the enemy flank, slowly, while moving one infantry unit, one APC, and one Tank in from the main force.
-Attacking this small position head-on with two tanks, and two APCs.
-Creeping the engineer group up the road in an attempt to spot the enemy from there, and arty strike (instead, the enemy gunners chopped up my engineers
I love the depth of this game, but I feel like I can do no right, despite multiple attempts, and watching several guides on game mechanics. The number one issue I tend to have is withing spotting...the enemy simply sees my pixeltroopen first almost every time. from crazy distances, while mine often fail to see opponents that are right on top of them.

The Greenasjade mod repository is gone and unfortunately that seems to be the only location the HQS sound mod was posted. Is there any way someone can get it posted on FGM or here?

So what battle follows after you won Map1 or lost Map1
In combatmission shockforce 2, task force thunder campaign.
I'm sustaining severe losses when I assault the compound in the middle,
This is the level where your forces spawn behind a berm. And there is only 1 highway through it to the city,
The highway being set with mines.
I've tried different approaches, leaving the tanks on the berm for long range support,
Walking the infantry across the desert.
Or leading with tanks down the highway, with transports to follow.
If I do the former I don't lose vehicles to the mines.
But it's a much longer engagement.
If I do the latter I inevitably hit a mine or two and wreck a tank and/or transport.
But I can get to the fight much quicker.
I can make short work of the trench lines easily enough
But when I get to the compound in the middle my infantry always get wiped out in some kind of chokepoint.
Even when I bombard the buildings with artillery, and mortar shot.
The best run I've had and it wound up being the slowest, was simply not engaging the buildings, and using the tank shell,and artillery to slowly level the buildings.
Ultimately though you cannot take all of them out this way.
What can I do to improve my run?

I lost all my tanks because I didn't play properly in the previous mission.
So now I'm in a very tough situation.
Is there any way to fix the mission?
