Would it be interesting to make this hypothetical game? Unit balance would be a thing as it would be rough to take on Dwarf Warriors with Skaven Slaves. My thought is that there is enough factions and units to give plenty of variety, with progression. Am I out to lunch with wanting this?

I don’t like micro managing large maps or my economy. I want to play a game where a I can just choose my army and it will fight against another (or I control it). There have to be other people who just want the fighting aspect right?? How can Arena (rip) be the only game like that. There must be another.

Nothing exciting to talk about (sadly) but have been diving *deep* into the prospect of trying to get something rolling some day in the distant future.

Most of my diving has ended with me landing on Unreal Engine, but I wanted to post and see if there are any other people who have hobby'd their way through any progress in a little pet project, or whether there are potentially any people who would someday be willing to give a bit of time/effort to a TW:A passion project in some capacity. I've seen threads from a few months ago with a lot of interest and just wondering if they got anywhere since they seem to be a little destitute now.

If Manor Lords can (eventually) come up with a semi-okay (at least visually appealing) battle system...I believe it's possible to some degree!

I thought a YouTuber was going to be the ip and remake it but it never happened. Any idea if there is a chance for the game to be made again?

Its just a little something I made over a few days.
I was thinking there could be Casual, like the old beta version, Arcade like the version when it came back with NetEase and a Competitive version like Casual with a few changes like friendly fire.

There could just be cosmetics to keep the game running, mabye some other things to monetize the game just to keep the servers running.

I think crowdfunding it would be the best way to go, having a community run develpment of a game just like, with a few improvments even.

I played this for quite a while at its peak, but eventually fell off due to IRL situations and missed the fact that it was even shutdown for months. I haven’t really payed much attention and I’m positive this has been asked, but any chance this game makes a comeback in any form?

I couldnt find any alternatives to TWA and now Iron conflict is also closing down. So I had a thought of creating new Indie MMORTS with continuous life support and updates, and just wondering how many developers would join or help me. Any help would be appreciated even ideas and suggestions. Ofc it will not be fast as I have my normal work to go to))

Just in case putting this in, I did finish University for Computer Science and I work as full stack engineer, so no one will think that im just random dude with no experience))

I am sure that I did play some game like Total War Arena before 2015. I can`t find the game name, nor find any info about. It did probably shut down, but i`m searching just to give peace to my mind

Obviously, there is no official way to play this game, and the sad truth is there likely never will be again. This game has died twice before. What I'm curious about is whether there is a way of playing the game, like it being hosted on third party site possible? I understand nothing like that exists at the moment, and I am remarkably bad with technology but was mainly wondering out of curiosity if that was possible. I know there are some games that get canned and find themselves with fan support.

Anyone know if any MOBAs that have a similar feel to Arena TW? Controlling a handful of units, part of a larger army? Historical?

Personally I was privy to the old Steam version. But the WG one had a lot of potential to be a success had they just not separate the player base and not implement their tech tree system

After just 3 weeks of its creation, the campaign has been growing (slowly but) steadily. I'm here to reassure you that it will stay active no matter how long it takes until we reach a large number of signatures, a Legion at least. Hey, what are you playing these days? I am looking for a similar game with ancient or medieval settings.

I had a lot of fun playing this game. It's too bad. CA abandoned the finished Persia.

I wanted to try playing this game because my brother played it a lot way back a few years ago and I enjoy some of the other total war games.
