Hello, I’m looking for places that do rifles classes while also allow wearing tactical gear to train in. I would prefer outdoor ranges but indoor would also work.
Thanks in advance.
I recently had an uncle-in-law pass away and “he liked guns” so I was asked to look at what he had and help with identification and whatnot. I agreed and then showed up to the house and was not prepared for it.
Straight hoarder. Un-enterable rooms 4-5’ deep. Guns, optics and accessories, ammo, archery equipment, hunting equipment, carhart, movies, cameras, model trains, etc.
It’s gone from I’ll look at his stuff to needing a spreadsheet for cataloging.
But to the point, for the guns and maybe the archery stuff, has anyone had any bad experiences or insight to the different places around here that deal with this sort of stuff? Cabela’s/scheels/gun-stores, auction houses, or whatever. Obviously resellers need to make money still but even the few auction places I’ve looked into so far are super vague on how they’re making their money. if it’s a buyers premium or a cut of the sale or whatever.
It sounds like there’s not a rush to get rid of everything so odds are I could just have a stressful couple months selling it myself but I’m all about options.
I was at a gun show last weekend in Mason City, Iowa and decided to purchase a pistol. In Iowa, we no longer have to have a permit to purchase, however, if you do not have this permit, you will have to undergo a background check. Well, my background check came back delayed, so I didn’t buy that gun at that show from that dealer.
Since then, I have been looking at pistols at another local shop. Just today. I got an email from the dealer from last weekend saying my background check came back cleared.
My question is this…… if I go to a different dealer now in the next few days and find a pistol, will I have to undergo another background check or is the previous one good for a certain amount of time? Or is it strictly dealer by dealer?
Anyone know if the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Dept. can reprint a purchase permit obtained in a different county?
I set up an FFL transfer with my valid permit in hand, and now it has disappeared. Trust me, I know how this sounds, but I think my dog ate it off the end table. I got the permit nearly 3 years ago in a different county, but it was good for a couple more months. Can the Lancaster sheriffs look up my (formerly) valid permit and reprint? If not, will they allow permits to be picked up in person upon completion? Or am I screwed and have to wait the “up to three weeks” to get it by mail?
She’s just a cheaper PSA toy but shoots true and is zeroed out to 300. G two stage trigger really makes a difference. I’m in the process of building another AR15 platform. Have the DD upper and still figuring out how I wanna do the lower.
My complex won’t let me rattlecan and I have no friends/family in Omaha being a transplant and new here.
Just curious if anyone local rattlecans their own stuff and is willing to do this one. I’ll throw ya some coin, a Coors Light and a fresh bottle of Lubriderm!
Looking to engrave my sbr and was wondering if anything was available near kearney or if i have to go back east by Lincoln/Omaha thanks
Moving next week to Omaha and wanna know who is good to deal with. Thanks.
edit- I'm in Elkhorn to be exact.
Is there a place near the grand island area that does slide milling? Or any place in Nebraska?
Does Nebraska require polymer 80s to be serialized?
I have way too much Federal and CCI .22 LR ammo.
Long story short my grandpa is dying and has gifted me his guns. There are 2 shot guns, 1 rifle, and 1 hand gun. Is there anything I need to do to transfer ownership to me? My understanding is that I need a permit for the hand gun but not the others, is that true?
Is there a website to list firearms in Nebraska for sale? I looked but can’t find much.
That said I have a g48 for sale. Omaha area. HMU for specifics. Thank you!
If they are legal, what are they classified as, and what is the bore limit for such device.
As the title says- I'm looking to carry my hobby to Omaha from Oregon in the early winter. Some FFL's suck, some are cool. I'd rather know off the bat rather than learning the hard way.
What are some good places to go shooting in/around Omaha?
Thanks!
Has anyone gone to this show the last few years?
I've thought about going in the past but the door charge has always been a bit of a deterrent but, with it being 4 days long and one charge getting you access for the whole weekend I was thinking of checking it out this year.
Looking for shops that carry higher end rifles. Would like to get my hands on a geissele super duty mod 1. Would like to stay on the eastern half of the state.
I live majority of the time in Omaha(Douglas County) but I also live in Bellevue(Sarpy County) some of the time and my drivers license is out of Bellevue. Is it illegal to try for a permit for sarpy? Or should I do Omaha and if then would I have to get my license changed to my Omaha address?
Has there been any new info about the lawsuits against the mayor EO's? Thought there was an injunction in Omaha and Lincoln had a scheduled court day but haven't been abke to find any updates since around February.
Hey all, coming up on a move to Nebraska from Missouri. I have my MO CCW, a G19 and a handful of shotguns and rifles. No NFA items. Anything I can’t bring or anything I need to know to be a responsible Nebraskan gun owner?
Anybody have suggestions for somebody in or around Omaha that can do barrel threading? Was hoping to pick up a .22 can soon and always thought my nylon 66 with a suppressor would be a pretty neat package. Thanks in advance!
Looking to pay someone who ideally has some steel targets and some land to shoot at so I can sight in and train with my new AR. Even if you don't have steel targets, if you're willing to let me put a stake in the ground so I can print out some targets, that'd be cool too.
Totally willing to pay you to use it, I just don't want to pay DEguns to use their range since they only offer an entire day session for like $40, and I wouldn't be shooting nearly enough ammo to actually shoot for the whole day. Let me know!
I’ve been a member since it was Omaha gun club. Yesterday I got an email saying they were closing up next month. The email stated only members who paid after November got a refund. I emailed and asked to be refunded for the six months I have left. They replied with you can still use your membership at the other locations but we are stealing your money.
When I go into a retailer to buy a new Sig P365, do I need my purchase permit on hand or can they look that information up? I happened to wash mine in the laundry. I’d assume they can look it up but I’m not sure.
Bigger and better show in New Town. Formerly in North Loup Nebraska. This will be the 30th annual Valley County Gun Show.
I just received the notice that my CHP is up for renewal. Is there any benefit to renewing now that we have constitutional carry in the state? If not I'll just save the money and let it expire.
Anyone going to the show at the former Lancaster Event center? Haven’t been to an NE Gun Show before. Wanted to know if anyone know what to expect for vendors and such.
Going to sbr my 9mm Ak. Anyone in the east side of the state who’s trusted with chopping ? I’m going to suppress it too so hoping to find someone experienced with timing / concentricity/ etc
