Have shot a lot and feel most comfortable on a pcc or rifle compared to a pistol or shotgun. Have looked at 9mm options like the cz scorpion or a cheap extar. I have a 556 ar but feel like it is too long for something I’m looking to move into, have also looked into 300 blackout because it’s been my favorite to shoot silenced (in another state) And also wondering what different rounds you guys use for home defense and what you recommend

I’m a non-resident student on F-1 visa since 2018 and have been invited for some hunting in CA. I’m getting my Hunting License the upcoming week. I got a driving license with Real ID, a SSN. Will I be able to purchase a firearm for hunting?

I went to a gun store and asked. The associate wasn’t very helpful trying to understand my situation and just said I need a green card or I-94 card. I don’t have a green card obviously, but what about the I-94? Overall it felt like he wasn’t interested in helping out or clarifying the laws.

As the title suggests, I was wondering if I am going to be able to buy a gun, specifically a lever action, the same day I take the FSC(assuming I pass of course). I saw a post from a year ago and people were saying it would be allowed but since a year has passed, I’m not sure, especially since a friend of mine who recently went through the process themselves said he had to wait a few days for the background check to clear on the FSC before he could even place an order. Hi everybody, Hoping someone with experience can help me understand what sight combination I should use for my front and rear sights to achieve a “combat hold” (at least I think that’s what it’s called) where I place the dot of my front sight post on my intended POI. The oem sizes on my p365 are sized 6 front and 6 rear. While looking up a few forums I hear people saying it should be 6 rear and 8 front.

San Bernadino National Forest. Driving through, maybe stopping at a lake, driving through some more, drive out where it says “Leaving State Park” etc, what’s the rules here? As soon as I see the “Entering San Bernardino National Forest” sign, do I gotta lock it up? Seperate mags, ammo etc? We always take drives through these areas and can suddenly end up in and out of the “State Parks”. I see online no firearms on or within 150 yards of a campsite for this specific area.

There was the same post about 5 months ago asking about the best CA hammer fired pistols, but now I’m wondering what they would be, especially now that CZ’s are off the roster.

I’ve looked at some off roster 2011’s, as nice as they are, the prices are really throwing me off being deep into the 1000s. I get that you gotta pay to play but it’s a little too much.

What would yall recommend as a nice hammer fired pistols now? I’ve been thinking a 1911, but there have been a lot of different options when choosing, but I’m currently stuck between this and the Beretta M92. TIA!

Any good recommendations for conceal carry? I went to the range today and loved how the Glock 43 felt but was informed it wasn’t on the roster. I also enjoyed firing the p365 macro and Glock 19x but am looking for more solid recommendations.

Point being is my pops birthday is coming up.and he wants to go shooting but he doesn't like indoor ranges to many restrictions compared to some BLM ranges. And BEE Canyon is the nearest range he wants to go back to . The last time we went there was during fire season and had yet to go back,but since his 58th birthday is coming up he wants to go back this weekend.

Has anyone been to BEE Canyon this past weekend/ month and are they more freely open where we can take the truck out to the hill and set up some targets like before and not where we had to park at the ranger station haul out the gear and be limited to when ever the ranger shows up (Example 20 miutes in ) hell the longest we been out there was a hour and 20 and that good 40 miutes was use picking up our brass and targets as well as piling up trash the other mongers left since iam sorry it would of been the right thing if there was a dumper to drop all this off .

I’m getting a Glock soon and can’t decide if I want the od green version or the standard black gun. The od green is more brown than green, but isn’t really as tan as fde. For those of you with a od green Glock, how do fde attachments (such as a coyote rmr or surefire x300) look when paired with the green.
