This people dont even pick up the phone after waiting for 58 minutes i gave up . The live chat has a 2 hours almost waiting time, no one responds to my emails about my order. I placed an order and never got an email confirmation. If the order is going to take a month or whatever time is fine, just let know and eta. I even paid an expedited shipping
Is this still legal to own ? Or am I super late ?
Get your Connecticut Carry Pistol Permit. You will need to take the NRA Certified Pistol Course to apply for your pistol permit. I am a registered NRA Certified Pistol Instructor & a NRA Certified Range Safety Officer. My course is at 115 Main Street Monroe CT 06468 Unit 11 back of building and include both classroom instruction and shooting instruction at a local shooting range that is only one minute from the classroom. You can now sign up for my courses on my website just click on the day you want in the calendar page and click register. In addition, I will notarize your application and take your photo and give you two 2”x2” photos that you will also need for your Connecticut pistol permit application. NO OTHER instructor offers all this! Upon completion of my course, regardless of whether or not you are a Florida resident, you can also apply for your Florida pistol permit online which is honored in 37 states. For more info, go to GetYourPistolPermit.com or call 203-517-6609 There you will also find a money saving link to join the NRA.
People are not getting the 10 round limitation we have to endure when I asked this question. Maybe someone here can answer knowing that fact.
I admit this may be a stupid question. I own a 19 and 26 4th generation. I use the same full size mags between those two.
Now here is my concern. I will be getting a 34 eventually hopefully in 2025. Am I going to be able to easily distinguish the 34 from my current mags or are they too universal?
I didnt order too long ago but i hear alot of people saying that they take forever shipping item, i even paid an expedited shipping to be safe . So i just want to get in contact with in order to see if its going to take forever so i can cancel the order. Their phone number in their website doesnt allow me to speak to a representative
I am looking to buy a mini 14 with a threaded barrel. Would loved to have the purchased the folding stock, but that’s banned. I believe the tactical has the threaded barrel, but comes with the flash suppressor which is not legal, so not sure if they sell any with the threaded barrel and the solid stock without a 20 round mag. Or, do you need to buy the ranch version and have the barrel threaded?
I tried renewing my pistol permit by mail. I accidentally went past my 90 day grace period. I thought my permit said 8/27/24 for the expiration. It was sent back to me saying it was 99 days expired. I thought it was a mistake so I went to look again closely to my pistol permit & it actually says 8/07/24. It was a honest mistake. I live in NH. I don’t go to CT that often anymore. I called & emailed them to ask about this. If I do re-apply, do I have to retake the course or get finger printed? Do I have to drive to CT for anything or do I just re-apply with the application?
I know we can only carry 10 round mags but I thought we were still able to own bigger magazines for home and range use? Why would they pin your mag if your gun comes with a bigger magazine or force you to have two 10 rounds instead of the 10 and 13 the say m&p shield plus I’m interested in is supposed to come with?
Hello All,
It's been several years since I've purchased a new firearm, and in doing a refresher on the 4473 form to pickup a purchase, I noticed again Question Box #10 on the form, "Do you reside in city limits?" Since I live in a town which is not classified as a city, I fear answering incorrectly, since they don't offer an option.
Best I gather is that the town, though not officially labeled that, is considered a city for this purpose, and living in it would imply a Yes answer
Any thoughts?
Hey everyone, I’m usually decently versed in CTs gun laws but this question came to mind. I have CT long gun permit, and I can’t buy unfinished receivers without a pistol permit for some reason but id like build a CT compliant set up (Non-semi auto like a straight pull), could I buy a finished lower that’s registered as non-semi auto or buy a completed rifle that’s been modified to be manually operated?
I see all these videos of 22/45’s with silencers. But here in CT we have to put that adapter at the end. I would like to see a video of a silencer being attached and removed from that.
Someone who is a family friend of ours was arrested about a month and a half ago and had their pistol on them. I was wondering what happens to the fire arm when they get arrested ? Also is there anyway I can find an update on her case( if she is in jail or not. ) We tried reaching out to her parents but did not hear anything. I typed in her name and all they gave me was a prior arrest from years ago. I’d like to be there for her but don’t really know how to as I don’t know if she’s in jail.
One time i tried ordering a 10 round mag and they didnt want to ship it. That was like 4 years ago. Looking for a sig sauer tango 1-6x24mm msr
Brief summary as to why. I recently decided no more guns for reasons of my own. I also decided going to limit the amount I will be shooting my two 9mms. Which brings me to the obvious I will be shooting primarily my 22/45.
Another thing and this is more of an OCD thing was I bought ahead of time this bag solely for a specific target pistol 9mm. But my recent decision voided that. So I am now with an extra bag and that bothers me.
So this morning I did some rearranging of my two bags. The larger of the two I made primarily for the two 9mm’s. I have all mag slots filled and some extra stuff in general I don’t need unless I bring a person with me.
The second bag I now made it primarily for the 22/45.
Now onto the question. I currently have 3 mags. 1 is always in the pistol and the other two filling 2 out of 6 mag slots.
So I ask this does it make sense to have all 6 slots mags filled which I would then have a total of 7 mags to shoot at a time?
If you say yes to the previous asked question where can I get the most affordable Ruger issued mags for my 22/45?
Note I already checked gun mag warehouse and he is selling pairs of the mags for $42.99 before tax and not sure if he will charge shipping. Also not sure if this a BF price.
Note: being this is a CT group I am willing to drive to a place. Distance is not a concern other than they must have them in stock upon my arrival.
Hi everyone,
I am trying to determine if using an AR MagLock or similar fixed magazine compliance device is a legal option here. The issue seems to be a lot of vagueness in Connecticut's firearm laws, particularly around these definitions:
Based on these definitions, an AR MagLock (which requires the firearm to be slightly opened to remove the magazine) seems like it could/should comply. However, there has yet to be a definitive answer from DESPP/SFLU unfortunately. This leaves us in a gray area to question ourselves whether or not it complies with current firearm laws.
I've read through several discussions on this topic in this sub, but it seems there is a lot of mixed opinions mostly due to the fact that the manufacturers of these compliance devices do not strictly state compliance within Connecticut law. Some argue it's not worth the risk and potentially opening yourself to becoming an example/test case.
Another device that seems to be popular is the CompMag, which also isn't explicitly stated as Connecticut compliant but seems to be accepted by some people as worth the risk.
What I Know So Far:
My Questions:
Thanks in advance for any input! And if any FFL dealers are lurking, I’d absolutely love to hear your thoughts as well!
I got a few lowers and got them registered for aw back in April just had a few questions are we still required to build them at 12 minimum barrel length or can we go shorter since they are assault weapons and use a brace or am I better off getting a tax stamp and putting a stock? Planing on doing a 9inch barrel.300 back out
Looking for the HK/Umarex 22lr MP5, anyone know who was one in stock?
Im looking for a red dot for black friday, any good deals that you have seen online ?
Just curious if this would qualify as an assault weapon under CT gun laws: https://iverjohnsonarms.com/1911a1-carbine.html
Depending on the answer, would a regular 1911 converted to the rifle using the Sarco kit also meet the same definition? https://www.sarcoinc.com/1911-stock-rig-conversion-set-stock-holster-barrel/
My gut reaction is that it depends on whether the “stock” configuration is considered a banned feature, since it’s this weird mix of being a pistol grip but also not being a pistol grip?
Looking for thoughts from the community. Relevant discussion (maybe?) from NY thread: Reddit · r/NYguns30+ comments · 2 years agoIver Johnson 1911 A1 Carbine .45 ACP legal in New York?
