Why in the world are carry handles so expensive lol I see the aero ones for about $80 but they all have bad reviews and then Brownell’s and Colt ones are over $150. Anyone know/ use a more budget detachable carry handle. Just wanna make a build I have more retro lookin don’t need anything special but still function fine. TIA
Hey all,
I have an old Remington hunting rifle that does not have any mounts for a sling. I’m located in Fairfield county and was looking for recommendations on where to take it to get drilled mounts. If anyone has experience taking their rifle anywhere could they kindly share when and how much it costed?
Fixed mag, 7.5” brl. Can I use a backpack holster? I have a ct ccw, Thanks for the help.
I have a 12.5 "other" that I missed the deadline to get an AW certificate for, medical crap came up and i forgot. Would adding a comp mag make it CT legal. My only concern would be the short barrel.
I have a little of a unique situation. I have Power of Attorney over my father who has dementia. He has 4 handguns I removed from his house that I need to transfer to myself as POA (well 3 to myself, one to my wife due to state law - we both have our permits). Does anyone know of an FFL or store around New Milford that has experience handling this and won't rake me over the coals on transfer fees? Willing to travel a bit, but not wanting to make a day out of it (I love Swamp Yankee's service and atmosphere but that's a full day's travel).
Looking to purchase my first shotgun, KELTEC KSG 12 GA BULLPUP SHOTGUN PUMP ACTION looks cool and wonder if its legal
Hey guys, I accidentally found myself as the new owner of a Preban lower, but realize now it’s worth a hell of a lot.
I’m interested in selling to somebody in CT. Are there any CT-focused places to sell? Or a list of CT gun shops?
Thanks in advance!
Any recommendations for a Class III dealer in Pawcatuck or surrounding areas?
I moved from Maine and want to get rid of a scary gun.
For paper permit renewal, are we required to get the form notarized? I remember in the past it was required. I am helping my father renew, he won’t do it online.
Hypothetical question, I am not getting rid of this shotgun, just looking for information.
I have a pump shotgun that was given to me over 50 years ago by my father on my 18th birthday. There was absolutely no paperwork associated with his purchase and gifting the gun to me, You could walk into a hardware store back then and walk out with a gun without any ID requirements. There is nothing showing that this shotgun is legally mine.
I'm not looking to get any proof of ownership but could I just give it to my son, daughter, or a friend without any paperwork as long as they are not prohibited from owning firearms?
Or do I have to involve an FFL to transfer this basically "unknown, undocumented" shotgun?
My dad passed away last year and left my brother and I a few guns. We essentially split them and my brother is getting a double barrel shotgun, a .22 semi auto rifle, and a 9mm pistol. All were manufactured in the 70s. He lives in CT and I’m in SC and am in possession of said firearms. I want to get them in his procession as part of my wedding present to him next October. He and his wife both have concealed carry permits and I’m curious what it will take to get them in his possession legally. Any guidance would be appreciated.
When you renew your permit how often do you have to get a new picture taken? Every other time you renew?
I have my class for concealed permit on the 24th it’s an 8 hour class with live fire I guess…..how does the live fire work? Distance? Points? What can I expect?
Looking for a place to store my guns while I'm out of town (long term), appreciate any recommendations. I'm in the Fairfield area, but I am willing to travel.
Just hypothesizing...
If someone puts a compliant underbarrel semiauto shotgun, for example, on a registered AW with banned features, does that violate the AWB by making the underbarrel shotgun an assault weapon?
Alternatively, does using a registered AW AR lower with a semiauto standalone "firearm" upper (like this if it were semi auto) allow you to put features on the unregistered upper while they are connected as the same firearm?
Is the closest CT-compliant reality a MCX Regulator or FightLite SCR at this point? Any other recommendations or strong opinions between these two? I know I probably should’ve pulled the trigger on the MCX last month to get the free P365 with it…
I purchased the Sig P365xl and have the Wilson Combat grip module coming in. What other upgrades and suggestions do ya'll have for the Sig P365xl? I'm curious to see others preferences considering how popular the P365x model it.
