I want to assemble a gun kit, but cant buy the receiver due to being under 21. If one of my parents were to just buy it, could I use it? Is there any transfer documents or anything I would have to worry about?
I know heritage does have a selection. I know there's a machine gun shoot in June as well north west. I was wondering what other ranges have full auto rentals around NEPA?
I have a conceal and carry permit.
Few questions. Is there a limit on how many pistols I can carry at once? Either on my possession or in my truck?
Also, if I put an AR pistol in my truck, what are the rules around that since it is considered a pistol? Unloaded? Ammo a certain amount of gratitude away from the pistol?
I’m between the Philadelphia/KOP area and I’m wondering if you fellas know of any good cheap NFA transfer spots. Prefer a range and to be within 30-45 min but will take other options if they are under 75$. What have y’all payed and where?
Are there any actual legal or practical benefits to going SBR Form 1 versus just building a braced pistol? Besides the stock being much more comfortable.
Thought I’d share this in case anyone in here wants to go to any of these. I’m gonna be attending the 5/25 G$ match and possibly one of the later ones
Gonna be going to Hershey Park in a few weeks. Curious of the metal detector situation, and if I’ll have to choose between dumping a Spyderco in the trash or a walk of shame back to the car
Is it legal to hike on state game lands at night wearing head mounted night vision? Reading through the rules and regs it says no hunting with nv except for certain species, but what about just hiking with only a concealed handgun?
I see what seems like a great deal to get an AR-15 by buying this kit, but I have some questions.
Is this a full kit?
And are there any law/regulations I need to know about?
I'm 18 and want to get an AR-15 because, well, they're cool. But I dont know if there are ANY legal stipulations I should worry about.
If this isn’t allowed please let me know and I’ll take the post down.
Long story short, I ordered a Viridian CTL+, problem with the order and shipping and I received 2 of the same item. Company I ordered from refuses to believe it and accept it even with pictures proving it.
I am looking for a streamlight TLR7a. I can trade an unopened Viridian CTL+ for the streamlight. It is still sealed in its box. If someone out there has a streamlight TLR7a that they would like to trade then please message me. It does not have to be new.
Recently turned 21 and am waiting to hear back on my LTC in my county. However, I would prefer to actually buy a firearm as soon as I could because I have the money.
After reading up on the laws, it seems I cannot carry the weapon in my vehicle. Does this mean I can’t drive to my LGS, buy a pistol, and then drive the pistol in my car without committing a felony (again, I don’t have an LTC yet). Or would it not be “carrying” in the legal sense if I transport it in my trunk or backseat?
Otherwise, how would I even be able to transport the pistol to my home without an LTC besides walking 10 miles from my LGS?
102 of 203 votes are needed to pass legislation, these bills only had 101.
HB 335 would have banned anything that "accelerates the rate of fire" of a semiautomatic firearm
HB 2206 would have laid the groundwork for a electronic firearm registry
Thank Burns(D) who opted to uphold the Constitution and remember to vote!
Hi fellow Americans! I was wondering if there are any shootings ranges in Philadelphia where tourists are allowed to shoot and also rent a gun with and instructor next to you, I’ve never shot a gun before nor have I seen an AR up close, would like to learn and have some fun.
I just purchased a new Pistol, after looking online, I can't find a holster i like. I wanted to see if anyone knew of people, or gunshops in the pittsburgh area that would make custom holsters.
I’m new gun owner I love going to range but it’s nice out wanna shoot handguns outside I see a ppl talking shooting rifles outside I live in city of Philly anything near
Thank you
I want to be safe and confirm - I have a NY pistol license, and am going to PA with friends and plan to go shooting. Is there any issues with me bringing my pistol into PA and going to a range? I’d rather be safe than sorry!
Looking for an outdoor range where I won’t be bothered by an RSO and preferably free, I like Clayton’s in horsham for indoor practice however their hours don’t always conform with my schedule and I also want to shoot past 30 yards. I’ve looked into a few clubs but they seem kinda “circlejerky/ fudd central” for lack of a better term. Not to mention atrocious membership prices. Driving also isn’t an issue for me but I’m trying to keep it less than 40 minutes away if at all possible. Any help is appreciated!
So 3 friends and myself are headed to Washington County Machine Gun for a guys weekend in June.
Last year we stayed near WCMG and it lacked good night life (a/k/a strip clubs).
This year we plan on doing the machine gun range in the AM and head up to the Pittsburgh area where the nightlife is better.
So the question is what indoor ranges around Pittsburgh are decent to kill a few hours.
Thanks.
Am i allowed to bring one of my rifles from my fathers house to my mothers? Or does it have to stay at the house i put on the 4473 permanently .
Ok so my wife put a rifle on layaway for me from a vendor at the Bloomsburg gun show. I believe it was in October of last year. I told the guy we were house hunting, and he was very understanding and gave me a long term layaway so we could get everything setup. Well, we bought the house, repaired and moved, and now I want the SVT-40! But I haven’t seen him at the past few shows so maybe someone on here knows who he is cause I can’t seem to find the paperwork.
Older gentleman and his wife with a small dog. Several cases of 1911s, a couple broom handle Mausers, Colt M1892s, usually has older M1As and Garands and M1 Carbines. I honestly don’t think this guy has anything before 1989 at his stand lol. But usually has like 5-7 tables just for his items.
Maybe someone on here knows who he is? Any info would be great.
I want to buy a ds 1911 or 2011, checked 3 local store near KOP, but just can not find in local gun store, even the Springfield "dealer" doesn't have prodigy. Is there any local store has such pistols? Thanks!
Hello, everyone.
I’m a new resident of PA and soon to be gunowner. I’ll be acquiring ecently my first firearm hopefully next month. Currently taking classes to feel more comfortable and confident to EDC.
Quick question to those that perhaps are in the same situation as me. I will be traveling a lot between NJ and PA due to work meeting clients and visiting family members. How would I go about ensuring I’m not arrested in NJ for carrying with a PA LTCF? Do I apply for a non resident carry permit of NJ asap? Do I just forget about carrying in NJ altogether? I know requirements are way different in NJ. In some occasions I may have to travel to NY, but I know NY doesn’t offer non resident permits. Also, how would one deal with magazine capacities in place in NJ that aren’t an issue in PA? I have so many questions so any guide/forums/articles I can read would be appreciated. Of course, I won’t take any comments here as legal advice, but as a guide on where to start and what to start researching. Thank you!
hi everyone! im an 18 year old woman (turning 19 tomorrow lol) and i'm planning on moving to philly for college in august! im a fairly small person and i'm nervous about being in a city by myself, and i want to be buy a gun to protect myself. nothing too fancy or powerful, but something that will get the job done if i'm in danger. i will be a first time gun owner (i really haven't even handled a gun) and i need some advice. does anyone know how hard it is to get a license in philly? any advice welcome, thank you.
As usual no further info than that, never hurts to have a heads up though.
I've just had an episode with my neighbor going absolutely berserk on me because his horses were going nuts because of my gunfire. It was really nasty, and I don't think I've done anything legally wrong. Perhaps someone can clarify for me? Details to follow. I want to know if he has any basis in his claims, or if he's just trying to be a controlling dickhead.
I live on a ~20 acre farm, there's houses off in the distance in most directions, except one, on the edge of my property. So I set up a backstop, which did and would stop every caliber I shoot. I got through two magazines on my new 9mm to see my neighbor approaching screaming like I had just killed someone, full blown temper tantrum.
My backstop was about 15 ft from our shared property line, probably 500+ feet from any houses (and not remotely aiming towards any houses or structures) but nothing goes past the backstop (that's the point). He came over and said his horses were going nuts, which I can empathize with, but seemed to suggest I'm not allowed to shoot on my land - if not legally, then because it disturbs his horses or because other people have to hear it (presumably). It was a lot of rage and not a lot of logic.
Is there any reason why I would not be allowed shoot in this way? Personally I don't give a fuck what people do on their property, and I want to be left the hell alone with what I do on my property. Hopefully someone can provide some insight, did I do anything legally wrong or is he just an asshole? How would I find local laws or ordinances to confirm? I am outside of city limits by the way, it's very rural here.
p.s. the horses must have been 700 ft away, it's not like I was blasting anywhere near them. I'm down for being courteous, but I'm not down to have my legal rights as a private land owner shit on by a hothead neighbor.
My father in law loves guns and is visiting next weekend from Ohio. What gun store in the Pittsburgh area has the best selection. Preferably some thing you can't find in the run of the mill gun store in the middle of nowhere in Ohio.
Been around two years now since I've moved and lived to Easton, PA and finally decided to own a gun and properly go through the motions. Any advice and help?
Hi All…
Visiting from NYguns. I’m looking for a shop, in north-east PA , that stocks and sells authentic Ruger Mini 14 20 rnd magazines.
Would prefer closest to Hancock NY / PA border area, but could go north east from Rt 84 , as well.
Thank you, for any assistance…. Carry on….
So im 19, and want to get my concealed carry permit but im worrying a little bit about 1 thing. My address now is not the same as the address on my license, I purchased a rifle a few months back and forgot about this fact but the PICS check passed anyway. Just wondering if this could possibly cause problems.
