I was looking at the Taylor Freelance brass backstrap today and it occurred to me, the molded PDP backstraps have pockets in the frame side.
Has anyone tried filling these with anything to add weight? I was thinking I could get some small lead shot and put that in there with some epoxy?
Are there aftermarket trigger components for the PPS M1/M2
Found it for an absolute steal at my local Sportsmans Warehouse. Can't believe it's mine.
Do you guys mostly clean your gun yourselves, or have it professionally cleaned? Rookie here, slightly nervous about accidentally damaging my new toy!
I want to replace my TLR-7A light for the TLR-7 HLX SUB WML since my pdp f series is my edc firearm and want that 1000 lumen for outdoor use if needed. I want that sub over the regular 7 hlx since its shorter. In comparsion, the 7a/x length its 2.58" while the 7 hlx sub is 2.51", and the regular 7 hlx being 2.9". Was surprised that the hlx sub was even shorter then the 7a/7x variant.
I have a T1 iwb holster, emailed them to see to if this would work with me current holster and they said no as it has a different size then what my holster was made for.
Are there any other holster makers that can make PDP holster with the tlr 7 hlx sub or has one that compatible with different WML sizes?
I don’t need it but seems like a pretty good price
Paired the an ZR tactical ultra mass guide rod (15lb spring)
Picked up the compact PDP pro during the RDS promotion, cause why not? Still haven’t received it yet but upgraded with the PMM comp, ZR tactical recoil spring and the Taylor Freelance back strap. My god this thing shoots so soft. I had to repeatedly check the slide went back in battery cause the recoil was so light. Highly recommend the upgrades. This isn’t a daily carry so don’t fret over the Viridian dot. It’s been good so far but I’m sure the reliability isn’t on par with holosun or trijicon.
I’m wondering if you guys have recommendations for triggers, as I’m having trouble finding any,
Also I’ve been eyeing the barrel threading work from Tornado, so if anyone has experience with it let me know.
Any comments or suggestions welcome!
Just as everyone mentioned in my other post, Walther isn’t very good in communicating but they will pull though. I just got my replacement DPT Trigger as promised. However, this replacement doesn’t fix the issue.
As I suspected, the hole in the DPT was too tight to accommodate the post from the slide release. The post from the slide release would not go through. This is why after I installed the DPT the first time around, the trigger was very tight and you can see the slide release move up and down by a millimeter or so. It was too tight for the trigger to move freely.
I tested it against the original trigger where it slid right through without any issues and would freely rotate on the post.
It’s disappointing that Walther won’t replace the frame or send a trigger that fits properly because clearly, the damage was done because the parts do not fit with each other correctly. I wonder if Walther is modifying this batch of triggers to make it fit correctly for those who send their guns in to have the installation done by Walther. Even if you install it without damaging your frame, the trigger would be too tight.
Loving every bit of it! I’ve owned and tried many other pistols (VP9, Echelon, G43x, G45, MR920, Hellcat Pro, Masada, CZ75, P-09C, etc.), but I keep going back to this one.
Optic: Holosun 508T (with C&H Plate) Light: X300 Comp: PMM Ultra Comp (with ZR Tactical Guide Rod)
Everything else is stock.
I think it’s 1/2x28
I think im done messing with this now.
Saw over at the gundeals subreddit that theres 1000 rds of blazer brass 115 grain for $.20 cpr. Seems like a good deal however i see the blazer 115 ammo under the not recommended list for ammo. Also seen people post they had FTF issues using blazer 115, and saw the honest outlaw video where he was having malfunctions with blazer 115.
Anyone with broken in PDPs still having issues with blazer 115? Would something like a ultramass guide rod with 15/17lbs springs help the issue?
Just received the email
Perhaps next time I’m at the range it will be the other way around, perhaps not. But, on this mild day in Pa, the PDP reigned supreme with its stock trigger vs the Q5 with its Apex trigger and Springco competition kit.
