    PDP F 4" vs PDP compact 4"

I have medium sized hands, and can't decide which PDP model would be best for me. I can get a PDP compact 4" made in Arkansas without the roll marks for about $80 cheaper than the PDP F series with a 4 inch barrel. I understand I can't upgrade to the DRT trigger if I go the F route, and the striker is a 2 part design in the F series. However, I know the original PDP is thick and wanted to make sure the grip isn't too wide for my hands.

For reference, I own/have owned an fns9c, cz p10c, Beretta apx, p320 full size, Glock 26, and dozens of other full size or compact handguns but I'm not sure just HOW thick the PDP really is. Length isn't an issue, this will be for home defense and a range toy.

P.s. if I don't go with a PDP, I'll snag an OR P10c. So sell me on the PDP.

    Baby’s first Walther

Went in to Cabela’s for a P22Q, left with this handsome fellow instead. My first handgun, and my first Walther 🎉

It is used, and the trigger has definitely softened compared to the reported 10lbs DA pull out of the box. I may look into upgraded triggers down the line, if such a thing exists for this model. But for now it’s practice time!

    PDP Threaded Barrel Kit Question

I got the Walther official threaded barrel kit for my PPQ. It comes with a separate green colored recoil spring. It claims you MUST use this spring because it has the right tension to account for the weight of the supressor. But also says you cannot shoot with the spring and no supressor. It seems really annoying and unnecessary, as I’ve never heard of this being the case on any other pistol with a threaded barrel. Does anybody know more about this?

    PDP Frame Stipple?

LGS had a deal on a PDP Pro E so I snapped it up. Never owned a Walter so I configured the grip panels but texture is lacking IMO after getting 100 down range yesterday. I’ll stipple the grip but what goes on internally behind this little section on the frame? Can I stipple it similar to Glocks or Echelons? Won’t touch the pin but seems like fair game

Dumb Question on Magazine Capacity for P99

I have a p99 that came with a 15 round magazine. I know they sell them with 10 round mags as well but will the 10 round magazine fit?

I'm wondering if it's the same gun but it just comes shipped with different magazine depending on the state's laws.

Apologies if this is a dumb question, I'm new here

Magwells that will fit Taren tactical +3 baseplate

I'm looking for a Magwell that won't have any problems accepting the tear and Tactical extended base plates. From what I've read it looks like Taylor freelance should work but I just wanted to know if anyone had any personal experience

Need to find replacement slide for 22LR PPQ M2

Title pretty much sums it up. I have a 22LR PPQ M2 and I need to get a new slide for it. Cannot seem to find a lot of options online for this. Anyone have any idea if the PPQ slides are interchangeable between models or if there is a site where I can find a replacement. I would prefer not to buy a new gun. Thanks for the help.

PDP Pro Mag Well Delete question

I quite like my pdp pro compact, but I’m not big on the mag well. It prints the most when carrying, and I don’t find them very helpful on reloads. I wouldn’t mind removing it, but I seem to recall hearing that the pro magazines won’t operate properly without it. Is this true? What other considerations do I need to make for removing the mag well?

How Good Is The Rebate C&H Optic?

I just bought a PDP Pro-E and found out about the free optic - which is great, I fell in love with this one on the shooting range. But I've never used an optic before, and I was wondering whether this was a starter optic, something high-quality, or in-between.

    4" PDP Pro E Mantis X mount

Just picked up a 4" PDP Pro-E for my first firearm. I absolutely love it. fit and finish is as expected from the Germans. While I've never owned a firearm before, I've shot quite a few over the years and the trigger and grip on this thing is spot on with all the hype. My only disappointments are mine was assembled in Arkansas so I don't have all the cool german proof marks on the slide or barrel and Germans don't do fun very well, so no stickers either haha

That said, I wanted to start my training properly. I don't have any gun buddies in the area yet so I picked up a Mantis x10 as my home trainer. Unfortunately, Mantis doesn't sell a base plate for our guns so I had to design and print my own. The prototype is a little rough but at least i can start training. Are the full size pro base plates the same as the compact pro base plates? I'm starting up my small design business(mainly car and motorcycle stuff) but I may add this to the store once i smooth things out.

WALTHER PDP COMPACT 4” / HELP WITH SETUP

Hello colleagues, I am new to this community and new to the world of weapons. I introduce myself, my name is Cristian and I have acquired a Walther PDP, I am from Spain, and given my job I can carry the weapon in any situation, and that is my intention. I would like you to help me with the issue of accessories, my idea is to carry a holosun 407 or 507, plus a TLR7x streamlight. THANK YOU VERY MUCH in advance.

    PDP Match SF Holster

I am just curious if anyone has tried out the steel frame PDP Match with Safariland’s new holsters? Is there any real dimension change with the steel frame?

Just went through 500 rounds and I thoroughly enjoyed shooting it. Very comfortable when carrying too.

PDP Pro - X… IDPA, does it fit in the box?

Currently shooting my PDP SF Match in USPSA CO. I started dabbling in local IDPA matches and shooting some majors for IDPA this year.

I’m shooting my Glock with afterburner in IDPA but was checking out the PDP Pro - X to use to keep a similar platform.

Anyone know if it fits in the box for IDPA CO?

Proud new member of the club

Shot my buddies this past weekend and I was in love. The ergonomics are something else on this handgun.

Looking at using it for a long long time. Have my eye set on some tournaments but putting some rounds down range tomorrow for the first time and I’m very excited!

Just picked up a used P22 CA for $100. What are the typical mods done to these?

    This version. Angel Blue gorgeousness

Bought it on a whim from the Used section at my LGS, was planning to use it for training friends and family, especially for the newbie shooters who think my modded-out Glocks, Sigs, and CZs are too intimidating. But want to get the most out it.

The right plate for mounting a he509 acss to 2.0 slide cut?

Recently picked up a PDP pro with the 2.0 optics cut and a holosun he509 acss. Was wondering what the best mounting solution would be. I’ve seen the one made by CHPWS for the he509 acss. Is that the best option available?

ZR tactical guide rod for PDP-F 4" and CCW holster suggestions

Hey guys, recently picked up a PDP F 4" for my new ccw (got rid of a 43X which I hopefully wont regret).

Considering buying a 15LB ZR tactical guide rod as they seem popular. For those who own one, how much did it decrease recoil/snapiness? Wondering if it is worth it, with stock spring it does seem a bit snappier than it should be albeit not uncontrollable.

Also any reccomendations for a IWB holster for the 4" PDP F? Mine came with a light bearing TREX raptor and im still not sure if ill keep it or go with something else. Tenicor seems good but wondering what else might be worthwhile....

German vs Fort Smith PPK/S Advice

So I'm looking to buy myself a PPK of some sort. I've been a lifelong Bond fan and want to get "the" Bond gun. I know the shortcomings of the platform. I daily carry a Glock 19 so I don't need anyone to tell me why a PPK isn't an ideal shooter/carry piece. I know.

    Anyways..

Ideally I'd like to buy a 60's West German PPK in .32 ACP, but I'm not forking over 2k+ right now for one. I'll do that later when I'm not expecting a kid. So in the meanwhile, I was considering picking up one of the new Fort Smith made PPK/S in .380 since they seem to be much better made/more reliable than previous US made iterations, but I also found a West German PPK/S imported by InterArms at a price thats competitive to the Fort Smith ones. I do like that the older ones don't have the extended tang of the new ones. Shootability aside, I just don't like the look of the extended tang.

Anyone with decent experience with various generations have an opinion on what would be the better purchase? Reliability with different ammo types would be something of concern, although not necessarily the end all/be all since it won't be a daily carry piece.

    Thanks everyone!

    DPT sear changes?

Got these two in last week. One has a significantly smaller sear leg 🤔 Engagement seems to be about the same. Both have the smaller extractor.

    PD 380 failure to fire

Hello, I just purchased the PD 380 and took it to the range. The first magazine went fine. The second magazine had 5 failure to fire in a row. 4 of the 5 casings had no mark where the firing pin hits the primer, one did. It’s a brand new gun so I am wondering if it was caused by heavy grease or dirt/metal shavings from the manufacture process. I flushed the firing pin channel as best as I could. Is there a way to remove the firing pin so I could examine and clean the channel? I have been scouring the internet, but since it is a new gun I can not locate any information on this. Does anyone know where there might be some info on this? Thanks. Jeff

ZR Tactical captured guide rod: Stainless Steel or Nitrided?

Looks like $10 difference in price. What is the big difference that would make it a $10 price increase for the nitride?

Also, anyone know if they will run BF deals or even Cyber Monday?

His & Hers (but really both mine)

Bought the F Pro so my wife had something to shoot comfortably at the range and use as a home defense gun. Bought the Pro-X as an early Christmas gift to myself. Ended up carrying both of them myself instead 🤷🏼‍♀️
