Our WIKI is a work in progress but is now up. We will be posting more in the weeks to come.
Benefits of a Concealed Weapons Permit in Arizona
One of the wonderful things about Arizona is that we have so much public land available to us to use. You can legally shoot on National Forest and BLM land as long as there are no fire restrictions. Pick up your trash, and maybe a little extra if you have the room.
You can't shoot across any road or with 1/4 mile of any occupied building. And always be safe.
Use Magnifying Glass to search for address or coordinates, better on a computer as mobile doesn't always work.
OnX Maps also has land ownership info

Watch out Arizonans, anti-Second Amendment special interests have dropped a ton of hateful bills in the Arizona Legislature this year. Thanks to our tremendous Michael Infanzon of the Arizona Citizens Defense League for bring this to our attention:
🚨🇺🇸 Call To Action 🚨🇺🇸
Michael Infanzon, Chief Lobbyist for the Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL), warns that Arizona is facing a wave of proposed anti-Second Amendment legislation, despite its strong gun culture. Bills introduced in the Arizona Legislature target firearm accessories, impose stricter regulations on gun owners, and propose bans on "assault weapons" and high-capacity magazines. Infanzon urges Arizona residents to remain vigilant, actively oppose these bills, and engage in efforts to protect gun rights.

anyone make or sell steel targets? just don’t feel like making one.
i have about 5 different brand new holosuns, id be willing to trade if anyone has targets they’re not using.
Preferably looking for a lawyer or a professionals answer. I have an out of state misdemeanor domestic battery (no bodily harm) from Illinois. I have 2 class 4 narcotics sales charges in Arizona. The state of Arizona says I can restore my rights 10 years after my sentence whereas Illinois says I can never own a firearm again because of the domestic. I also can’t expunge a domestic from my record in Illinois. I’m wondering what I have to do (if I can do anything) to still be able to restore my rights. I’m off parole as of today and I have 4 more years of probation until I can apply to restore my rights. Thank you in advance.
Are there any ranges that offer a private pistol area where you can shoot and move? I’m looking for something like this:
https://youtu.be/DTAnYGMbHK4?si=WUqhnSq8rY_VIcUW
I understand if there are such places I probably have to get qualified but I’m just curious because I want to take my shooting to the next level.
I’m a C2 tactical member and go to Ben Avery every now and then but they are pretty restrictive in terms of training anything other than marksmanship.
It seems like AZ doesn’t have much in this department compared to other states, save for finding your own spot on BLM land.
Any shops in the East valley that sell carry handle for the AR-15? Don't care if it's the cheap ones.
Anybody know of a place locally in Phoenix area i can find an optic mount for a yugo style AK?
Are you able to purchase a pistol in AZ without being a resident of AZ? I have parents that reside in AZ and looking to purchase a firearm in AZ but have ID from a different state.
Looking to shoot somewhere out the way. I’m near Phoenix I’ll travel an hour. Want somewhere where there isn’t a lot of people. Also I just have a sedan
Any recommendations?
Good afternoon to everyone! I am someone relatively new to owning guns. I bought a Canik Mete SFT but eneded up not liking it that much so I wanted to sell it. I wanted to ask you guys what are the requirements for selling the gun. Do I have to do a FFL transfer? Or does AZ allow to do private sells and if so, what would be the best thing to do?
PD for the moderators: I am not trying to sell my gun here, just have some genuine questions regarding the topic.
I'm getting some conflicting info from my research. Can we own an sbr in AZ? I understand I would need to file a form 1 and pay the ATF, but I've also read sbrs are not legal to own here. Also do limited eye relief optics actually change the clarification of an ar pistol?
Just picked one of these up. I noticed the ammo is pretty expensive.
If anyone of you own these how’s it holding up?
Any shops with a bunch of old S&W revolvers? Hate to dive into every single pawn shop to be let down.
Anyone have recommendations on local gun shops or pawnshops with a good selection of used guns at a decent price? (Not retail)
Hello. I'm looking for a company (preferably SE valley) that can do barrel threading on a 458 winmag for a muzzle brake. TIA.
Looking to do cerakotee on my sig 320, any recommendations?
Looking for recommendations for a long range/SPR course in the west valley. I am willing to travel as well if necessary. Just looking for quality instruction and good people to train with.
I just learned about House Bill 2166 in another post.
It says firearms are not subject to sales tax since 2023.
But I have bought at least 4 guns in the last 18 months, I paid tax on all of them.
What am I missing?
Here is "proof" of one transaction I paid tax.

Moved here not long ago from California. There was always extra fees and taxes when buying a gun for whatever reason.
So here do I just pay the price I see on the sticker or is there ffl fees to buy a gun ?
Edit: I bought it yesterday. Was 395 came out to $457 with $25 warranty. $36 dollars tax
Is there a long distance range that has moving targets in AZ?
Quick PSA... In case you're new here... East Valley Tactical = THE GOAT!
Big selection, and old-school customer service that make you wonder why all retailers can't be like them. Knowledgeable staff and detail oriented smith. These guys care about and share the same passion as their customers.
If you're in the East valley and haven't stopped by their shop -- your aim is off.
Looking for somewhere east side to go shooting out in the desert. Any recommendations!?!
I followed this topic for a while. I started to get whiplash from the day to day yes they are, no they aren't status that I determined they aren't for me. I wasn't interested in checking what the SCOTUS was up to hourly to figure out if I was a felon or not. And I'm sure that was a component of the ATF's plan. Fatigue the populous out of interest. "Quick!!! Unleash the Drama Lama!" ~ Little Stevie Dettlebritches.
So now I'm poking my head out of the proverbial foxhole and surveying the landscape. And yes I know better than to trust the internet on topics that might make you a felon so if someone can point me to a credible source that I could research, that would be muey el good-o.
Thanking y'all in advance for what I'm sure will be a lively and humorous look at the issue as of January 24th 2025.

Edit for Clarity - Legal w/o a Tax Stamp. Just getting an AR with a brace and a 12" barrel.
If so does anyone know where I can buy one near lake havasu?
