20 Gauge Shells

Does anyone know a good place to sell 20 gauge ammo or trade it for 12 gauge? I recently switched to 12 gauge and I have a large amount of 20 gauge slugs, steel duck loads and lead stuff of varying sizes.

Stout Field National Guard Armory Show

Show is this weekend March 23-24, as a lot of you might already know. Have a rifle and pistol that I really don’t need and they are both pretty rare/desirable. Will this be a good place to sell those items? I’m trying to get maximum value. Obviously I won’t price them like a Fudd. Not a dealer just an average citizen. Thanks.

Unsure of where I need to go for the last step of the carry permit process in Indianapolis

The permit application website says go to your local police station or sheriff's department. But while researching where exactly that would be, I'm finding people saying you have to go to a specific room at the city county building downtown. Which is something I'd really rather not have to do. And with the actual application website not mentioning anything about the city county building, I'm confused and not really sure where to go. If anyone could enlighten me, that would be awesome

Anyone wanna go shooting?

Weather is getting warmer and my trigger finger is getting itchy. I moved back here a couple years ago and haven't had time to pull any of my guns out of the safe. I'd be down for any outdoor shooting near Indy. I think Atterbury is the closest/most accessible but I could be wrong. I'm a 36 year old dude and will shoot with anyone as long as you aren't racist or sexist or homophobic or whatever. Just be chill.

Indiana Gun Club shotgun shopping?

I’ve been on the look out for a place that has a lot of shotguns in stock and it seems this place has a ton, but I thought I would ask this sub about it before I drive that far.

Is it worth the two hour drive from IL to go to?

Are there other places around that area to visit?

Handgun laws

Just to make sure, I wanted to ask someone who may know more about the subject before making a decision. I am 18 years old and Possess a Canik TP9SA that my father gifted to me(completely legally). Can I conceal carry this gun in the state of Indiana despite not being 21 if I posses it legally?

IN HB 1235 Introduced in Light of Gary v. Glock

Website and latest text here. Here are the important parts:

(a) Notwithstanding IC 34-12-3 or any other law, only the state of Indiana may bring or maintain an action by or on behalf of a political subdivision against a firearm or ammunition manufacturer, trade association, seller, or dealer, concerning the: design; manufacture; import; export; distribution; advertising; marketing; sale; or criminal, unlawful, or unintentional use; of a firearm, ammunition, or a component part of a firearm or ammunition.

(b) Except as provided in subsection (c), notwithstanding IC 34-12-3 or any other law, a political subdivision may not independently bring or maintain an action described in subsection (a).

(c) This section does not prohibit a political subdivision from bringing an action against a firearm or ammunition manufacturer, seller, or dealer alleging the breach of a contract or warranty as it relates to a firearm or ammunition purchased by the political subdivision.

IC 34-12-3-3 lists the actions that the person as defined in IC 34-12-3-2 is prohibited from doing so (but doesn’t list the political subdivisions like Gary), with the exceptions of breach of contract or warranty, damage due to defective products, or injunctive relief to enforce a valid statute, rule or ordinance as defined in IC 34-12-3-5.

Here, HB 1235 only allows the state of Indiana to bring lawsuits like what Gary is doing. Personally speaking, why not strip that power to bring frivolous lawsuits away from the state as well besides political subdivisions?

Indy state fair grounds

I was wondering if carrying at the fair grounds wasn’t allowed at anytime. I know you are not allowed during the state fair but what about the other times like the home and garden show or the Indy garage sale that’s going on this weekend? And I’ve never been to the gun and knife show there so do they prefer you not carry? I know I’m getting some eye rolls on this question but I’ve been wondering about this for a while.

NPCCC Membership

Is anyone here a member at the North Porter County Conservation Club range? It's the closest private range near me, I wasn't sure if it's worth joining.

Right now I'm driving out to BORCC in Michigan, but that's just over an hour from me. It looks like NPCCC is building a 200 yard range which is great. But I also wan't to be able to do some more dynamic training.

I know some places don't like you running around etc. and can be pretty FUDD about stuff. Figured I'd check and see if anyone has any experience there. Thanks.

Concealed Carry

As of July 2023 I’m aware that it’s legal to concealed carry a registered pistol without a permit in Indiana. As far as CO2 Pepperball pistols are concerned, within Indiana are you allowed to conceal carry them or do they need to be registered as well? Searched high and low regarding this topic and calling Indiana PD and State PD yielded no results unbelievably.
