I made a post on here about a month or so ago asking about closest PA county to Deptford area that would approve an out of state permit. A few people recommended Delaware county so I figured why not.
1/28/25 - Went to Delco Sheriff Office and filled out an application. Paid $20 and was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes.
2/1/25 (Today) - I received letter in mail telling me my permit was approved and I can go pick it up.
I will be going to pick up my permit on Monday. I can’t believe how fast and easy of a process this was. The only downside is it requires 2 trips, but that’s a small price to pay for a 5 year permit. Thank you to everyone who recommended Delco and to anyone looking to apply for their PA permit that’s also in the Deptford area, I strongly recommend the short ride over there.
I recently applied for my PTC in Galloway Twp and was wondering if anyone applied in Galloway and what the timeline was. It’s been about 6-7 weeks so far.
If anyone here applied through Galloway Police Dept I would appreciate some insight.
I’ve renewed my NJ CCW and would like to know who to contact at York PA sheriff to send them my renewed license. I believe they said that we must do this to keep our non-res PA CCW in good standing.
Any local shops, ideally in monmouth with many different optics.
Looking for something for a 5.45x39.
Want to see the Sig Romeo in person worried about any astigmatism I may or may not have.
Is there any outdoor ranges that I wouldn’t have to join or pay for a yearly membership? Just wondering!
What
No beach / park No restaurants with alcohol (even if not consuming) No Movies, casinos theatres 100’ of a public gathering- parade etc
All places I’d worried about a mass shooter.
So I basically can have a gun in my car, but has to be ON me.
This is pretty lame, no? Any chance this gets overturned?
ETA: I carried in PA for 20+ years
Hi all
I purchased the Walther PDP Pro F after checking out about half dozen different pistols at my local gun store. I am tall but shorter fingers and the F model had a great feel for me.
I have a S&W Shield+ PC 3.1” with a Vedder holster that is my primary carry but now looking for suggestions for an IWB holster for the Walther. The gun is fairly new on the market and I have only found two holsters, one of which is out of stock.
Suggestions welcome.
Hey yall, I’m looking for the store with the largest on hand inventory of ar15s. I have been doing my research for years and I have many makers and models in mind that I’d be happy with. I don’t want to call around to check a hundred inventories, I’ve been putting this decision off for years and I’d like to finally make a purchase. I’d just like to go to a store with a huge inventory, see rifles I’ve researched and make my choice off of what’s available.
I like the staff at shore shot so I was planning on going there, they usually have a decent inventory, but just wanted to ask here before I drove there. I live in East Rutherford.
Currently live in a State Police town. Red Lion State Police Barracks is my agency, took them 11 months to issue my initial FPID, and handgun permits still take absolutely forever.
My question is, in NON-STATE POLICE TOWNS, is the PTC process different? For instance in my town, the first part of the investigation is done by Red Lion State Police Barracks then is sent to Trenton State Police FIU for second part, before I am issued purchasers permits.
If I was in a township with it's own Police force, say Medford or Marlton, is the entire PTC investigation process handled internally by the townships Police force? Or is there still a step where the investigation gets sent to Trenton State Police HQ FIU?
Been on the hunt for a long time, and finally scored one, and with original box and manual. This will be the king of my crappy gun collection.
I previously bid one up to 2500 and was beat, but managed to get this for 1800, tax and shipping included.
Also, I've posted about my AOWs previously, so here's a status update.
86 days waiting for UZI tax stamp approval 25ish days for double barrel sawed off waiting Still waiting for PTR The Jack to ship
So I have been moved to the basement to do my firearm cleaning. I have a furnace, water heater and gas dryer that I am concerned about. May sound dumb but how likely am I to start a fire cleaning guns in my basement? Cleaned a firearm with CLP but Ballistol has always been my go to. Thanks in advance and apologies for my ignorance 🙏🏽
Looking to get my first pistol.
Trying to find a balance between concealability for EDC and fun factor. Tried out a few pistols (Sig P320 M18, SW M&P 2.0, CZ P-09F), and this seems to hit the sweet spot. The trigger feel is fantastic. The concern is how it would be as an EDC. FFS, my permit expires at the end of February and I just found out that Canik is coming out with the Mete Prime which would be exactly what I'm looking for....Unfortunately that's supposed to come out in late March.
There are 2 or 3 other Caniks that have that trigger but the overall length is greater than the TTI Combat. (overall length: 7.85")
The ideal overall length pistols available right now that comfortable with is the Mete MC9L, MC9LS, and the SF (6.3"-7.3"). BUT they do not have that trigger that I want. Is it possible to upgrade the trigger on these? (forgive a newbie for asking this...)
What would be your recommendation?

optics are new. Never mounted or used. Serial numbers in timestamp photos. Located Mount Laurel.
$440 Trijicon RMR RM06 new in box
$240 Holosun 507c x2 red new in box
Have to say I'm pretty impressed with both. Both have great reviews. Both around the same price point. Have held both but have not shot either one.
Handguns or rifles? I typically bring 150 9mm with me for an hour.
Hey guys, I need some advice. Recently, I went into my local FFL and asked if they would sell a lower as an other. They told me that they don’t and that I couldn’t build my own other it would make me a manufacturer. Now this current store does sell Modern Materials and Troy Others. So are they correct and if not do you have any FFLs in Monmouth or Middlesex you know will?
Recently approved for a handgun permit in NJ. I’m debating between the Glock 19 and the M&P 2.0 compact 4’. Does anyone know of a location in north jersey with the option to rent a test the M&P with the new flat faced style trigger? Put in a call to RTSP in Randolph and Gun For Hire and both locations said that they do not have that option in their rental inventory. Thank you for your help
Hello everyone. I’ve put in my paperwork for the FID on 1/13, but I still haven’t gotten any communication from my PD as far as the mental health release form (only lived in Jersey for 5 years). Should I contact them to see if they need me to come sign off on anything or are they able to get what they need without me? TIA

After 3 months for FID and 2 and a half for PTC i can finally exercise my rights and protect myself 😁 I have seen so many posts on this reddit during this whole process and i finally get to make my own lets gooo this feels like a belated birthday present
If the WMA range has a limit of .30, does this mean a 9mm PCC (.354) is prohibited, or is this just meant to pertain to rifle calibers? Letter/spirit of the law aside, would a WMA officer actually raise an issue if you were shooting it?
Hey guys I been looking to get my permit to carry my gun but I’m really confused, I ask a friend and he told me to get the permit and all the necessary he spend about 800$ I want your opinion and any help or instructors that can help me with the process, I’m in Sussex County
