Why does GOA keep winning in Philadelphia? Well, because they keep breaking the law, and gun control is unconstitutional. But it's also because of our Philadelphia lawyer, Andrew Austin, and the dedicated members and supporters who are our plaintiffs.
Gun Owners of America, Gun Owners Foundation, and three residents of the City of Philadelphia filed suit against the City of Philadelphia and Mayor Jim Kenney for yet another violation of the state firearms preemption law. GOA/GOF will be seeking an immediate injunction against the City's illegal executive order banning guns in public parks.

[A moderator approved me posting this message] Hello! My name is Logan Smith, I’m a Clinical Psychology Ph.D. student at Oklahoma State University. I’m doing research into how firearm owners prefer to learn about suicide prevention, and I could use your help.
We want to learn what firearm owners think about suicide prevention messages, and who they want to hear those messages from. Many of the current efforts to teach firearm owners about suicide prevention – such as safe storage of your firearm, or recognizing the warning signs of a suicidal crisis – have not been successful. It is believed that this might be due to firearm owners preferring to learn about suicide prevention from different people than the ones reaching out to them.
That’s why it’s important to hear from real firearm owners, like you.
The research that I am doing is an important step in understanding why firearm owners might prefer certain messengers over others. While there is no direct compensation for participating in this study, your participation would provide valuable data for our study. Anyone who currently is, or ever was, a firearm owner is welcome to participate in this project.
All of your answers are kept completely anonymous; we won’t ask any identifying information about you, or keep a list of who responded. We will not be attaching your answers to your personal identity in any way. This research has been approved by the Institutional Review Board at Oklahoma State University. The study should take about 20-30 minutes to complete; for some people, it can take longer, and for others it can be shorter.
If you’re interested in participating, have questions about eligibility, or would like to know more, please send me a direct message on here or an email at logan.smith12@okstate.edu.

Any ranges with the Sig P365 and XL version along with the Shield Plus to rent? Preferably, the Performance Center version and the 4inch also?
Hey guys, as a /r/VAguns guy who's trying to help a philly friend next weekend pick up his first handgun in the city, I'm looking for where's the best place for us to go to checkout a selection of handguns around Philadelphia. I've heard that The Bunker in Warminster, PA seems to have quite a few but was wondering is anyone's got any suggestions for anything else we should be trying or possibly even venturing further out for?
Im eyeing any shops that have a good selection of anything CZ, HK, Glock, or Sig to get the guy started basically and dont wanna roll up to a shop stocking 3 Sccy's and a Taurus as the only handguns they've got or a place with angry fudds behind the counter and a dozen used pistols.
The media and philly politicians sure aren't letting any good crisis go to waste in lockstep with the national news media in their push for gun control. That they have no shame in using the victims as a political football before they're even cold is disgusting if not surprising and predictable.
It's not a "mass shooting" like uvalde but their using that language. The headlines have so far mentioned Extended mags, Ghost gun, and that 2 of the shooter are permitted. Long after the 24hrs news cycle plays out and everyone moves on it will likely come out in court that none of these allegations are true. This is transparent.
I am moving to Philly next year and I’m worried that being involuntary hospitalized at 17 (in the state of Georgia at the time) would affect my eligibility to possess a firearm.
What happened: I had suffered two seizures followed by hallucinations. They asked me about my mental health as a child (I’ve had Major Depressive Disorder my whole life). I had NO suicidal or homicidal ideations. Yet I was hospitalized anyway. The whole experience confuses me to this day.
Questions:
Will it show up on a background check/does it matter if I was a minor in another state?
Does it matter that I am medicated and have had years of therapy?
What do I do if I get denied? Am I able to appeal?
TAKE ACTION: Contact your State Representative and demand that PA House Speaker PA State Rep. Bryan Cutler open an investigation into Attorney General Josh Shapiro's Office for alleged violation of state and federal gun control laws.
- AG's office participated in an NBC News hit piece against P80 kits and JSD Supply in Pennsylvania
- AG built out a P80 kit for NBC News to use in the story
- The actions of Josh Shapiro's AG's office may have violated state and federal laws.
If you are sick and tired of being forced to obey laws that our elected officials seem to ignore, then send a message right NOW to Speaker Bryan Culter to open an investigation into the AG's office. Click the image below to get started.

Anyone in the city into sporting clays? Tried it and got hooked. Picked up a semi auto and looking for people to go clay shooting with. Looking to check out Cedar Creek and Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays soon. Anyone down?
The cause of the skyrocketing violence in Philadelphia isn’t homemade firearms, or even commercially produced firearms. It is an unwillingness to prosecute criminals, and the culprit is District Attorney Larry Krasner.

Representative Matt Dowling's bill to strengthen PA's firearms preemption law was reported from the Senate Judiciary Committee on January 19, 2022. The bill goes to the Senate floor next week for a vote.
Let's reign in the rogue cities of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh by holding them accountable for enacting illegal gun control ordinances.
