Looking to source some compost for garden beds. Anyone have a favorite supplier in town? Wish I could compost, but I have two dogs who love smelly things
Trying to have fun on my last night here, where would you recommend a mid 20s man go?
5 Calls has a website with scripts that you can use to call your senators on a variety of topics. I called Ricketts, Fischer, and Bacon and left messages for each, all in 4 minutes time.
I know there’s a Steelers and Bills bar in Omaha. Seems like every other bar is a Chiefs bar. What other teams have a home bar for fans of that team to watch games? And where are they?
It’s weird, it shows up on Zillow and Facebook marketplace.
Why does Joslyn make the volunteer staff micromanage visitors. We just went and felt like we couldn’t do anything right. All the way down to leaving when I opened up the other door and was told to not use that as they only use one door…the same door that people were using to come in.
It’s a really great space and I’m grateful for Omaha to have it but I feel that the micromanaging makes me feel unwelcome.

Does this hit studio have showers?
Best deep tissue massage in Omaha. Someone said Creative Hair Design was good and that they had a salt room? Curious on anyone’s experiences.
Asides from banks, where are all the change machines in Omaha?
I've seen a few outside of self service car washes, but they aren't always guaranteed to be working.
I've searched google and there is no location map showing change machines, just coins to cash vouchers like coinstar.
Any laundromats have machines for quarters and not dollar coins? Arcades? Etc?
I come from a family that always made due with junk cars. But my elderly mother has been plagued with car issues and we want to set her up with something a little more reliable and with a warranty so she isn’t stuck with 3 and 4 figure repair bills every few months. We’d like to spend 12-15k total, whether the warranty is included or an additional fee. Can anyone recommend dealerships with such an offer? Is that even realistic??
I keep seeing conversations online about protests happening at every state capitol on Feb 5th at 12pm. Does anyone know what the plan is? I’d love to go support but don’t know where everyone is gathering or if it’s even happening. LMK if you’ve heard anything!
If you live near Millard West please bolo for my baby boy, his name is Malcolm, he's a tuxedo kitty with distinct black mark over his nose. He's friendly, we're hoping someone nearby took him in and can let us know!
On occasion we, the mod team, get requests for things that would break rule 3 (no solicitation). At other times people just break the rule and we have to remove the post. So, in this monthly post you get to break rule 3 and sell yourself or your stuff (within the realm of legality).
Some reminders/ground rules:
Rule 2 still stands, nothing illegal.
Rule 4 still stands, no personal information.
More on rule 4; if you want to send someone to your house or go to someone's house and need their address then keep it in private messages. Or stick to the basic internet rule; meet in a public place.
Unless you're an actual business don't give out your phone number or email address. If you post a phone number or email address and your post doesn't show up it's because the auto-mod caught it and one of the moderators will have to approve it.
So that's about it, if you have any questions go ahead and ask.
If you want to continue advertising your business/services outside of this thread you can buy adspace from Reddit, which is usually what we end up telling people to do.
The last couple of times I got gas at QT, they “reserved” a couple of hundred dollars in my account for about 30 dollars worth of gas. It’s only ever QT that has done this and it takes a few days for the “reserved” money to be credited back to my account. Has anyone else had this? I’m never getting gas at QT again. I’m lucky I could cover the hold, but a couple of years ago, this would’ve been a huge issue.
Got a hankering.
Looking for recommendations for Neapolitan pizza, specifically!
Looking for good quality and a decent price as I'm new to the area. Thanks in advance.
What grocery store/butchers have the best meat bundle deals going on? I looked at Hy-Vee and it was more just hamburger meat and a roast. Want steaks and stuff. Usually I'd buy a cow by this time of the year, but didn't get it done in time. Any suggestions?
I’m currently coming off active orders in the Guard and my Employer terminated me without notice. Now I’m currently scrambling to find another job.
I'm looking for a gym that's very close to 180th and Harrison but is 24/7 and has full court basketball, ideally 2-3 full courts ( in case a court is completely taken).
Does anyone know of one like this?
Something like the Papillion Landings, but 24 hours and near 180th and Harrison.
Hey yall, long story short, I'm here for a short TDY and id love to check out what's around, what spots do you all recommend? (Museums, civic centers, malls, restaurants, etc)
Anything helps, thank you in advance
