Are you still waiting for your vehicle to be repaired after the big storm we had last summer. ?? I know some dealerships are booking as far out as next September. That’s crazy. I know a place where you will pay zero deductible and the work is amazing and they can fix your car now. If anyone would like info let me know
Does anyone know where I can find lavender baking extract locally? Thank you in advance!
Hi everyone! It’s my boyfriend and I’s third anniversary, and we are both 20! Any recommendations for activities or dinner places?
The last few nights we’ve been hearing a whirring/humming vibration coming from the construction on the keystone trail between 48th/60th and Cornhusker/Harrison. It starts around 10:30pm and continues on well past 2am. Is there any one to contact about this? We literally can’t sleep because of it and it’s a very frustrating noise. No TV or music can drown it out it’s such a low frequency
Is there any good recommended movers here in Omaha that also drive the truck?
I don’t think I could drive a bigger truck I don’t trust myself haha It’s also just me so I really need help.
would only need them for like 1-2 hours, I only have a few pieces of furniture and it would be one trip as well. Not sure if any of this matters haha but please let me know if you know anyone or any companies you recommend.
Thank you!
Also I just thought of this, but is there any chance they would steel my stuff???😭 like maybe I should just drive the truck anyways and hope for the best 🤷♀️
UPDATE!: I don’t think I’ll have the money for a deposit until Friday. And that’s when I need to move, any of these companies not require a deposit or do same day??
Hey all I’m wanting to know what’s the best gym for your buck in the area
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to start learning how to drive soon and I’m looking for a good spot in Omaha where I can practice. I’m a total beginner, so I need somewhere that’s not too busy but still feels like a realistic environment for getting used to the road.
Does anyone know of a quiet neighborhood, parking lot, or any specific area that would be safe for a learner to practice? Any tips for first-time drivers are also welcome!
Thanks in advance!
It's that fun time of year where the fucking mice get cold and want to come inside.
Did you know even if you have a cat they do not care? Did you also know sometimes your cat won't kill it but will instead take it into your bathtub, allowing the mice to poop all over your tub and eventually get back out?
Yes, I have traps placed in all the areas away from my pets and hidden. Yes, peanut butter. And I wore gloves and cleaned my tub three times.
My cat has always taken the mice into my tub, the first few years I was able to get to the mice myself and handle them as nature intends. These last few years, they get away and leave blood and poop in my tub and eventually find the trap or escape into the abyss.
I'd rather deal with spiders and bugs than fucking mice.
Hello everyone! Has anyone seen angel trees around Omaha that still have tags left? Went to the Walmart on 120th and L and they were out last week. I saw the post about seniors from a few weeks ago, but none of the suggestions wanted actual items.
Thanks in advance!!
Any tips on building a barndominium in the Omaha or Lincoln area?
I'd love some recommendations for somebody to install tiles for my kitchen backsplash. It's not a huge space and I'm using large format tiles so it shouldn't be a major job, but it's definitely more than I want to mess with!
I think I’ve seen posts about this place in here before, but when I searched the sub, I couldn’t find anything.
Anyway, anyone know what’s going on with this place? I know it’s been closed for a long time, but I swear every time I’m in the area, it just looks weirder and weirder. Usually there’s some sort of security company car there, but today there’s an old ass looking RV and a porta potty.
Have a public event you'd like to share? Is your favorite band in town? Let others know by posting here!
Is anybody else getting absolutely blown up in the last week or two from scam calls with 402 area codes that leave voicemails saying “hello can you hear me?”
I am getting 10-12 per day all from different numbers. I am on the do not call registry but am at a loss on how to combat this.
Does Omaha or surrounding areas have strip clubs with plus size strippers? Asking for a friend 😆
Is there any other app similar to nextdoor? I got permanently banned because I wanted to take my last name off my profile before I posted a warning about a suspicious person walking around the neighborhood. I appealed but was turned down.
For example: Tracks Lounge. Amazing Staff. They remember you and always booking it to serve you even when they are slammed. Their food is amazing and that patio is just perfect.
Second example: Prairie In Bloom. They are expensive for sure. But the pieces they offer you can’t get just anywhere else and they are truly handmade. We bought a floating wind chime penguin, a couple years ago, that has survived numerous storms and still draws attention. Love this place. Also the ambiance of the store always makes me want to come back.
On occasion we, the mod team, get requests for things that would break rule 3 (no solicitation). At other times people just break the rule and we have to remove the post. So, in this monthly post you get to break rule 3 and sell yourself or your stuff (within the realm of legality).
Some reminders/ground rules:
Rule 2 still stands, nothing illegal.
Rule 4 still stands, no personal information.
More on rule 4; if you want to send someone to your house or go to someone's house and need their address then keep it in private messages. Or stick to the basic internet rule; meet in a public place.
Unless you're an actual business don't give out your phone number or email address. If you post a phone number or email address and your post doesn't show up it's because the auto-mod caught it and one of the moderators will have to approve it.
So that's about it, if you have any questions go ahead and ask.
If you want to continue advertising your business/services outside of this thread you can buy adspace from Reddit, which is usually what we end up telling people to do.
Idk about this show. Sounds like this show may be part of the problem here?
So my nose has been crooked for a while and I've wanted to get it fixed. I also likely have a deviated septum so getting both done would be awesome. Does anyone have any recommendations for a surgeon who does nose jobs and a surgeon who does deviated septums? Getting both done at the same time would be awesome so if anyone has any pointers I'd really appreciate it.
Ask: looking for a family to host a 16 year old Korean boy exchange student for spring semester.
Background, this student has been in Omaha since beginning of the school year at Westview HS. His English is not strong but he is trying. Good enough to attend school and get good grades. Former host family didn’t have the patience so they kicked him out on Thanksgiving like jerks. He is currently with me in South Omaha while I look for a family but he can’t stay because my own Spring student arrives soon. He is very nice, does wrestling, likes kpop and computers. We need to find him a family! Prefer the family are in the Westview HS zone but anywhere is fine, he can transfer schools at the semester. Families can be single parents, same-sex parent, parents of young kids, parents whose kids are out of the house, or have no kids. We accept families of all types because families come in all types.
I understand if you can’t host but if you know anyone who can we do offer an incentive as a thank you for referring a family that does host one of our students. Please help me find a family! PM me for more information.
Thank you!
Does anyone have any recommendations on where to store it and how to get it there?
The dude is a stud and is certainly going to be a first-round draft pick. I'll link the highlight once its available on Youtube. I believe this is a school record for ND.
Edit: Highlight
I would like to install a new tankless water heater that's about 200k btus alone. This would more than double our current btu usage of 180k. The meter appears to be set for 250CFH @ .5psi drop, which is equivalent to 250k btu.
I called MUD and they could not specify whether it would suffice and if they even would charge me for a meter upgrade. I was told they just have to send a technician out to calculate my appliances and demand. Then it seems I may or may not have to pay for this? Very opaque and not transparent.
Has anyone done this before? Was there a cost? Are they going to ding me for any unpermitted work? (HVAC friend replaced my furnace last year and I doubt he pulled a permit)
TIA!
I was just at Oakview and the alarms went off for everyone to evacuate the mall. Anyone know why?
I'm looking to get another twisty puzzle, whether large, or unique, today.
We're getting out for a couple hours (currently 1pm November).
I have the typical 3x3, 4x4 etc, have a mega minx and giga minx, pyraminx.
I don't have a void or anything larger than a giga minx yet.
Not familiar with Omaha, but hoping there are some cubers out there.
