Never owned a gun as a civilian. Used the same M9 and M16 for 4 years in the Navy but now that I live in a free state, owning is becoming my new favorite hobby. Now I'm looking to stock up on ammo. Maybe 500 rnds of .223/5.56 and another 1000 of 9mm. Any website / store suggestions?
I bought this lower and want to register it as an SBR. Last time I chose 'AR-15 pistol,' but that model is incorrect(WEAPON SERIAL NUMBER AND/OR MODEL SHOULD MATCH EXACTLY AS IS STAMPED OR ENGRAVED ON FIREARM.
PLEASE RE-APPLY WITH CORRECTED INFORMATION. PROVIDE THIS DISAPPROVED CONTROL NUMBER IN THE ELECTRONIC
DOCUMENTS TRAIN-STOP OF THE NEW APPLICATION. REFUND REQUESTED.). Could you advise which model I should select? I plan to register it as a 5.56 SBR. Thanks very much.

We're working on turning some of our SM19 Stripped Slides into Complete Slides which will be ready to swap onto any G19.3 compatible complete frame whether Glock OEM, PSA, SCT, Geisler, P80, etc and be ready to use.
As for the Prototype Gen 1-3 SM17 Ported Slide we've been working on, we're still doing some finishing work on it to get it range test ready. Once we complete that and it passes the range we'll begin working on setting it up for larger scale production. Still no timeline, but we're making progress.
Thanks to everyone who reached out with questions and support.

Hey all,
I'm currently looking for a cheap (>$500) shotgun to learn how to shoot clays, preferably used from a private seller so I can get a little bit of a better deal. I've been having trouble with Utahgunexchange (I can't see people's phone numbers); does anyone have any alternative suggestions of where I can go to find someone who might have a shotgun for sale?
Thank you all in advance!
Can anyone recommend a professional gunsmith that has experience with working on a lathe to reprofile and thread barrels? I have an irreplaceable barrel that I want worked on.
I asked on fb a few years ago for a similar request and was recommended a guy with "good reviews" who turned out to be so bad I had to get the work finished elsewhere... hoping to not repeat that experience.
Anyone know of a good outdoor spot nearish to UT County where I can do some target practice on pumpkins? Seems like a shame to not have some fun with them. Thx!
Been a Utah resident for my hole life. I was told by a coworker, that hollow point are completely illegal in Utah. I couldn’t find anything on it, no matter where I looked. anyone got anything on this?
I’m headed to St. George for a couple of days and i’m wondering if you guys know any spots on blm land to shoot clay pigeons, or any spots to hunt jackrabbits?
Are there other places than SLPSA and The Farm that hold multi gun matches in Northern Utah that people are aware of? Looking for a few new matches to try out, mostly shoot in Idaho due to them having lots of matches. I tried a bunch of searches but wasn't finding much.
I’m at 190 days and reached out to them a month ago, filled out all forms, and I still haven’t heard from his camp. Shits getting old.
Hey guys I’m doing an online order for uspsa targets to buy in bulk but I’m doing a range day tomorrow and want a few. Do you know of anywhere in the salt lake valley that sells uspsa cardboard targets?
I’m looking for a gunsmith in Layton, UT. I’m aware of Sportsman’s Warehouse gunsmith, but wondering if there are other options. Any thoughts?
Are there any gun shops in Utah that specialize in vintage firearms? I’m not necessarily looking for shops that only carry vintage guns, but does anyone know of shops that carry a good selection of vintage used guns that aren’t absurdly priced? It’s getting stale going into gun stores in my area and seeing nothing but flat top AR platforms and poorly made American made AKs
Just moved to Utah about 2 months ago and I’m looking for a group of shooters to train with. I’m slowly accumulating gear and want to work on my marksmanship and skills with like minded people. Hoping to find a good group of people to shoot with.
Recently moved in from Nevada, where I had my CCW. I'd like to get my CCW permit here. Any recommended classes/instructors around Davis County? Thanks guys.
Looking for some public land shooting areas around/near Davis county. Either in the mountains or out in the desert, no real preference. Thanks for any input.
In and out of their shop in 10 minutes. I walk in and tell them what I need (SBS engraving), they take me back to the shop and laser cut it right then and there. Awesome experience.
Need a SBS engraved. Ideally in Davis county but SLC works as well. Anywhere that's well regarded?
Anyone local doing optic cuts on a CZ? Preferably good quality and quick turnaround.
EDIT: Found someone! Josh is a USPSA shooter and talented machinist working out of a shop in South Salt Lake. He was able to turn the entire job around in about 2 hours flat. Very clean machine work, super tight optic fit, countersunk holes, etc. Everything I could have asked for at a very reasonable price. Obviously no recoating in 3 hours, but I'm going to send the whole thing out for nitriding to Rubber City Armory next month after I shoot a couple matches with it.
Contact JD2Amachine AT gmail DOT com for all your optic cut needs.
I've tried listing my firearm for sale INDIVIDUALY multiple times now and the moderation staff keeps deleting my posting and when I ask for clarification on how to correct they give no response nor do they cite the violation other than saying "multiple items listed" Like ya I listed the guns with magazines or the optic on them, NOT FOR separate sale, when I re listed I even specified that multiple times, and they still deleted my posts again, not even took online, so I can't edit them or try to see what the violation was.
When I re listed, I had multiple similar active adds from others pulled up as templates, and the rules pulled up to cross-reference,
I am at my wits end, I have now wasted multiple evenings on this.
At this point, I would just pay the multiple listing fee for each (would cost me like $100 but save me from this stupid game they are playing) despite them all being individual listings, but im not wanting to waste my time with them.
I've heard good things about this exchange forum in the past, but at this point it seems like maybe the owner is down on his cash and just trying to extort people or something...
Does anyone know of good alternatives or gun stores/dealers that pay out decent for either un fired or barley used firearms?
For context i tried to list EACH AS THEIR OWN LISTING: (some AK variants chambered in different rounds, some 22 rifles, and an AR upper)(I would be more specific, but I don't want this to be misconstrued as an attempted listing on Reddit, that is not what this post is, I'm looking for other marketplaces or selling points)
Hello I am brand new to Utah(Ogden) and was wondering what the rules and regulations are for shooting and hunting on said land, all the information I have been able to google hasn’t been very helpful, in advance thanks for the help and I’m always down for a shooting and hunting buddy!
I have a Tikka T3 and Remington 870 that I would like to sell. It's just more time and effort to get out and hunt than I want to put in these days.
Can anyone suggest a store/dealer in Utah that will take them on consignment or buy them outright at a fair price?
I know the Utah Gun Exchange web site exists, but I'm pretty busy and I think I'd prefer quick and easy rather than selling private party.

Looking for some places up Spanish Fork canyon to (safely, with trenching and fire extinguishers) break in my new steel targets, and maybe shoot some clays with the kiddos.
Looking on Google Maps, it's hard to tell what's private and what actually has access roads + is ok to shoot...
Obligatory, we clean up and don't shoot TVs and stuff.
Can anyone recommend some spots or drop a pin? Happy to accept a DM if you don't want to make it public. I'm just hoping to have a few spots in mind before driving down and searching (hopefully not fruitlessly).
