I used to go to Boyert in Katy but they closed down a few months back They allowed rapid fire and didn’t charge per gun That’s kind of what I’m looking for indoor or outdoor. I prefer outdoor but not a dealbreaker. Also not trying to spend Athena gun club money lol Anyone know of anything?
Is there any gunsmith in Houston that can get ride of the internal lock on my J-frame S&W? I can provide parts.
I’m a Canadian flying in for one day, looking for the best place to rent and shoot all the things that Castro junior has banned in canada. Any recommendations? And if it’s not too much to ask, if you can recommend a place to catch some live country music in the evening too, preferably older style with steel guitars. Thanks!
I'm heading out to American Shooting Centers with the kids tomorrow. I have never been to Varmint Village, even though I've been a member there for a year. The website says 22 rimfire only. But I heard an off comment today about 22LR only. Can you shoot .22 WMR in Varmint Village?
One of my .22LR decided to stop extracting today, leaving me only one .22LR to take tomorrow. I'm hoping I can take a .22 WMR so I can get both kids shooting.
Hi yall, just looking for a range that gives discounts for women.
We are excited to announce that we have opened our storefront location. We started Element 115 on our kitchen table five years ago with the mission to make suppressor ownership as easy as possible. For the past two years, as some of you might know, we have operated out of an office space in Kingwood.
Thanks to our awesome clients, we have grown from two suppressors in our "inventory" to over 100. We do in-house EFT fingerprints and passport-style photos and can certify your Eform in MINUTES. No need to come back days later.
While our main focus is NFA items, we are also expanding our firearms selection. Our goal is to earn your business every time you visit.

I remember visiting BRC is 2019. Now their website says no retail sales and they aren't open to the public. Does anyone know what happened?
What is a good place to sight in a hunting rifle on the west side of town? I just got back from SAAM. They took my scope off temporarily in an attempt to diagnose a problem. They put my scope back on but I did not have time to re-sight it. I need to get the rifle back in shape before hunting season.
Looking for outdoor shooting range that allows you to have a bay to yourself for shooting on the move pistol/rifle. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Do any local FFL carry Kalashnikov USA in stock. I want to buy a Komrad 12.5, but i really want to see and hold one up close before shelling out $1200+.
Hey guys, I’m very early in the planning process of opening up a large outdoor shooting complex. Members get full access to a 1,000 yard range with a 2 story shooting platform and other barricades to shoot off of, 12 LARGE tactical bays, two 360 degree tactical bays and a massive bay for classes/instructional days. All shooting areas have at least 2 steel and 2 cardboard stands. Everyone has the freedom to train as they see fit while being safe.
My 2 big questions are
Any input would be very helpful.
I’m pretty new to Reddit. For updates on this, would it best for me to continue posting in this thread or start a new thread with each update to keep you guys in the loop?
UPDATE UPDATE Oct 10 We’ve created a business email to get an evaluation of membership interest. This is a pre-registration to show interest to investors, and to offer you a couple of benefits (fixed membership cost in the event it does increase, $0 initiation fee, and reserving a spot in the event of memberships reaching capacity). All I’m asking for is your name and either a phone number OR email.
This pre-registration is simply us trying to gain quantifiable data from those interested in becoming a potential member, with a monthly rate of $50/month and access to the facility 7 days a week. The location is LIKELY to be within an hour of Downtown Houston, cypress, Freeport and Pasadena
If you are willing to pre-register just send your name and info to parabellumshootingcenter@gmail.com and I will send a confirmation that I have you on the list.
Looking for advice about Weapon Genetics in Houston. I dropped my 2 handguns off at their shop several months ago. I have only called twice asking about a possible update on timeline for the small jobs requested. I’m met with angry excuse after excuse on the phone both times when I am being nice and cordial, not asking to speed up but literally only asking for a potential timeline. Has anyone else experienced this?
Visiting Houston and wanting to shoot some firearms at an outdoor range, are there any that do gun rentals too?
Hey guys I’m 25 yo and female and am very interested in getting a handgun I just want the proper training to feel competent with one . What’s a good gun range or course I can take . I went shooting for the last time maybe like 5 years ago. Thanks in advance .
Was thinking about either going to or getting a table at the Rosenburg show this weekend. Called the organizer to see if they had any available, and he asked me what I would be selling; I asked him why, and he said as long as I wasn't selling candles or some BS then that would be fine.
Definitely a good sign for a show hah!
Dunno if I'll get a table but definitely will try to check it out, just wanted to share that anecdote for anyone else on the fence

This is going to be a post that may have some inaccurate language because I’m not proficient in guns. My husband loves to shoot, long-range mostly and has many guns. He’s turning 40 soon and I would love to get him a gift he would really enjoy. It could be a shooting trip, a hunting trip, a membership somewhere.
I know he has a Lapua, several long barrel guns with suppressors and scopes he’s sited in (is any of this remotely accurate 🫣I’m trying) and enjoys going to shoot at indoor and outdoor ranges.
We live in Spring but he travels all over so open to various ideas.
Thanks in advance from his clueless wife!!
Hi I’m 21 and recently moved to Tomball and I’m looking for someone to go to the range with. I would love to try to get into long range and further more into hand guns and shotguns. I know a fair amount but just looking to further my knowledge and skills
Wondering if anyone around town has a superior selection of ammo, like Buffalo Bore, Underwood, Federal HST.
Cabelas, BassPro, Academy and my local ranges don't really carry .38 or .357 Mag.
Liberty Armory is gone but the range is open under new management!
Any recommendations for a range that allows you to shoot steel targets with rifles in the Houston area?
Hi, new here and was looking into buying a gun or guns for home defense etc. Prefer something local to the Houston are if possible.
Wife said she won't approve unless they are in a safe of some sort, we have kids.
Would like to hear some recommendations for handgun safe, something low profile that would fit into a night stand drawer roughly 16 in L, 14 in W, 4 in D* , and a traditional standing safe for shotgun or rifle.
Thanks for reading! Input appreciated.
*I can just buy a new night stand if something is highly recommended.
Long story short.. my mom was a Houston police office during the late 90s up to late 2000s and was gifted a pistol she nicknamed “Lucinda” when she retired. Sadly, someone broke into her place 2 weeks and stole it after owning it for almost 20 years. She has fallen in love with sig p365s and I’d love to get one engraved with “Lucinda 2.0” but unsure if there’s anywhere local to do this. Any ideas?
I’m looking for a reasonably priced gunsmith to inspect and mount a new scope on a used bolt action. Preferably someone with long range and bolt gun experience. I bought a Remington 700 AAC .308 20” used that allegedly had a some “upgrades” when I bought and I’d like to verify if everything was done right. Also have a new scope I want mounted on it. I’m great with ARs and Glocks but this is out of my wheel house and I want it done right so I can get into long range (for me) shooting and be sure the rifle is doing its part.
Who are y'all using and how much are you paying for NFA transfers? (suppressor)
Thanks!
Does anybody around the Houston area actually stock these 2 optics? I have checked the usual big box stores as well as a few LGS's near me and nobody seems to have both. Plenty of options online. Before plopping down that kind of money, I want to see these two in person and pick the best option for my needs.
Looking to get my first suppressor and saw that Lone Star Tactical Supply (10015 N Eldridge Pkwy e107, Houston, TX 77065) offers $50 NFA transfers. My question is do they charge any additional filing fees for submitting/processing the required documentation?
I saw from research a lot of FFL's will advertise a low transfer fee to draw you in and then tack on these other fees unannounced after you've already shipped your cans to them.
Hi H-town people. Im looking for a range that allowes shooting home brought items... no explosives or anything dangerous... just soda bottles or stuff of that sort. Any recommendations?
Can anyone suggest somewhere in NW Houston that'll charge a decent rate to install new sights and an Apex flatty in an M&P?
