My bf and I just moved here and don't really want to cook a thanksgiving dinner. Does anyone know if there are restaurants with Thanksgiving specials/buffets?
I've looked everywhere and can't find any information. Thank you in advance
Looking for an employment lawyer to check out a non-solicitation agreement. Pretty sure it's as enforceable as wet tissue paper, but I'm risk averse enough to get a pros opinion.
If there's someone in Omaha or remote that's cool too.
I'm looking for a legitimate work from home job. Most of my skills are in customer service. Does anyone work for or know of a company hiring?
Anyone know of pharmacies where n Lincoln that have Covid vaccine for kids under 12?
In the past, my children have received Covid vaccines at pharmacies. I’m struggling to find a pharmacy in Lincoln that has it in stock for kids under 12. What’s odd is that the big chains (Walmart, CVS, Walgreens) have it available at pharmacies outside of Lincoln like Beatrice, La Vista, Omaha. I can get it at a CVS MinuteClinic but then I have to pay a copay. This seems like a money grab by CVS.
I've been seeing a lot of political ads lately and they all say so many different things. Where can I find useful information about politician's platforms and who I should for?
Everytime I drive by the voting place there's a long line. Currently the line of cars is out to the main road. Is it faster to vote on Nov 5?
Going out to eat but can’t decide on a place to go to and I want to try somewhere new. My normal go tos are Hopcat, Lazlos, Leadbelly, Blue Sushi
We have decided to implement a monthly thread in which users can buy, sell, and advertise--breaking rules #1 and #2--so as long as it is contained within this thread.
Comments will be sorted by "new" by default.
Use this thread to:
* List items OR services that you are attempting to sell. While not required, you are encouraged to list the price(s) you are requesting.
* Solicit items OR services you are in search of or in need of. Again, while not required, you are encouraged to list a price you're comfortable paying.
* Advertise anything and everything, so as long as it is still relevant to Lincoln--promote a concert for your new local band, advertise a sale your local shop is having, etc.
We don't anticipate too much traffic or comments on this thread, but wanted to make it available to those who might enjoy or benefit from having it.
Lastly, if you do ultimately pursue offers posted here, PLEASE be aware that scams are rampant. Help protect yourself by following some of these (personal) recommendations.
Do NOT:
* Accept a personal check, ever. Or a money order or cashiers check that you were not present for when the individual purchased/obtained it.
* Use an electronic app to transfer funds. This includes, but is not limited to, Venmo, Cashapp, PayPal, Zelle, etc. While this seems easiest, it's **incredibly easy to get screwed over** with people sending you funds that they don't actually have.
DO:
* Accept **only** cash for smaller/medium purchases. For larger purchases, insist that you meet the individual at their bank and be present while the bank verifies and issues a cashiers check right there, on the spot.
* Meet in a public place. For example, if you're buying a phone, there's no better place to complete the transaction than inside of a Verizon or T-Mobile store.
Let us know if you have any questions or feedback. Have a great month!
I’m looking for a therapist that can help me deal with anxiety and depression. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Anybody know where I can find this? Looking for a brief summary of the bills and what voting yes or no/ for or against means. I feel I might get overwhelmed and confused with the wording on the ballot. I still plan to read the text before marking my choice, but having something brief to reference before that would be helpful.
You may have seen the video of a voter and election officials fighting over the voter’s Trump hat.
I will be working at a voting location on Tuesday. In preparation I re-read a few sections of the Lancaster County Official Election Board Manual (emphasis added).
ELECTIONEERING (32-1524)
Electioneering means the deliberate, visible display or audible or physical dissemination of information for the purpose of advocating for or against any candidate or measure on the ballot. Prohibited information include’s a candidate’s name, likeness , logo or symbol, ... This includes buttons, hats, pencils/pens, shirts, signs, stickers or literature and drawings.
DISTURBANCES AT THE POLLS (32-925)
If any person conducts themselves in a noisy, riotous , or tumultuous manner at or about the polls so as to disturb the election, or insults or abuses the precinct or district inspectors, judges or clerks, and persists in such conduct after being warned to desist, any election commissioner, county clerk, inspector, judge of election, police officer, or sheriff shall arrest them without warrant and bring them before the county court. Such person shall be permitted to vote if they are a registered voter.
To my election co-workers: Stay safe out there!
Has anyone gone today? Was the wait time still > 20 mins to get in? I was hoping the "early early" voters were "through the process" and most other people were waiting for Tuesday. That way we "late earlies" can just sail through the joint like we are VIPs.
I've never voted early before so unsure how the waves go.
Much like the question is asking anyone know any Halloween parties this Friday or Saturday night?
Any ideas on where to hold a 1st birthday party at the end of November? It's too cold to use the outdoor park centers and it will be mostly adults so places like lost in fun won't work very well.

Bosn vs Behmer-Popp in southeast Lincoln is goddamn wild. We are talking sometimes 3 or more mudslinging mailers daily, just for this race. These even use stock photos, not clipart.
This is the only legislature race I've seen discussed specifically on Reddit. Some elements about it are certainly creeping into wider news coverage now. Bosn is very worried about losing her seat, clearly.
I know at least one legislature seat in town is uncontested, but, are the rest just very calm by comparison? And are there any school board people or anything going at it, anywhere? Genuinely curious to hear about any other interesting superlocal races playing out in subsections of town.
I know most people went out celebrating last weekend, but will people be out downtown/haymarket this weekend too?? my friends and I are dressing up Friday and I'll be so sad if no one is out in costume 😭
I M38 am looking for some reputable therapists for my alcohol addiction. Currently not drinking and have a doctors visit in a couple of days and will be meeting with a psychiatrist next week. TIA

Doesn't matter if you're a fan of Lord of the Rings, 40k, or just kept that classic juvenile humor, whoever designed the sign did a great job.
New parent and fist year trick or treating with my little guy. What time do the toddlers start trick or treating in your neighborhood?
allo is definitely the best internet in town, but paying nearly $90 a month is wild.
I bet we are gonna be paying $100 a month in 2025/2026 🤦🏻♂️
It makes sense why they gotta increase their prices.
But it’s just frustrating
Considering getting a CDL to open up some more job opportunities. Not looking to go over the road but more like driving for construction companies etc. What’s the best place to take classes and get a CDL. Maybe a place that offers night classes?
Hello! We had a change in plans for Halloween and are looking to purchase a large number of pumpkins today; where is the best place in town to get them for a good deal? It’s hard to get accurate pricing online. Thanks!

Does anyone know what the sickness going around the high schools is? I caught it but it doesn’t seem like the usual cold, flu, or covid.
