As the title suggests, I just moved down here an am looking for suggestions of places to take some steel/paper targets out and do some training. Hopefully has a minimum 100 yards for sighting in, and far enough away that I could potential start a night time shooting group without LEOs being alerted by common folk calling dispatch.
Is anyone else currently having problems with nics checks getting delayed for very long periods of time? I tried to buy a handgun at Academy sports and have been waiting for the delay for over a week now. This is very frustrating.
Edit: went in today and was told it can take up to 30 days. At which point it is worthless and we have to start the whole process again. Academy Sports is also a terrible business, and very rude, and seems like they don't even want to sell any firearms. Going to be taking my business to a small local gun shop instead. Thanks to the people suggesting ways to help, but most of those would take an even longer process. Seems like buying off private sellers is the way to go. No wonder people don't get them the normal way
Wondering if theres any gun shops in Central AR you guys would recommend for NFA transfers that don't charge $150+
I just found this sub and figured I would check here. For years I have been looking for a gun club or range on the northeast side of Little Rock that would meet my needs without success. I am looking for a range, club, or empty land where I can shoot that would be open in the 0700-0800 time frame near the Sherwood/Jacksonville area. I work midnights 6 days a week so to go shooting I either have to sacrifice my sleep or go to a gun club like the Benton gun club or Central Arkansas Shooters Association both of which are on the opposite side of Little Rock from me adding an hour plus drive each way. I also would like to work firing from a holster and not having any "rapid fire" restrictions. Anybody know of somewhere nearby that would meet these needs?
Hey y'all, I can't seem to get a straight answer to this question. Is it legal for me to buy a long gun using my state ID (MN) at an Arkansas gun store? When I try to find answers about this online, I can't seem to find a answer. Thank you.
Normal to get delayed on lowers? Usually in and out in 30 minutes on complete rifles.
Just purchased a stripped lower receiver from gunbroker and had it sent to an ffl, picked it up today and inside it was wrapped and it says "ar is muf"
So I went in to try and buy a new pistol today, and after filling out the form, the FFL owner told me the website said "searching". He had never seen that, and something like that happened to me last year when I bought a Rossi Ranch Hand, I had to wait three days. The FFL owner at the pawn shop told me if he didn't hear back after three business days I could come get it, he never heard back so I was able to pick it up. Really frustrating, and I was wondering if anyone here knew why that might happen? I'd really hate to find out that this happens every time I go to buy a gun. The only thing on my record is a misdemeanor from a traffic ticket, so I'm sure it's not that. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Few of my buddies (we’re all Army/Marine vets) want to kinda do like a mini FTX. Is there anywhere we could hike. Camp. And shoot for a few days legally?
I have a NFA item that needs to be engraved. I don't want it to look like hot dogshit. Anyone got an idea?
Looking at suppressors, finding good deals online if I can get an affordable transfer. Anyone know of any decent priced NFA transfers?
Going to be traveling to Arkansas and want to be sure I'm not breaking any laws. Any special conceal carry laws I should be aware of? I have a CA LTC and AZ CWP and it looks like I can conceal carry while there but want to make sure I don't break any laws.
Finally got a scope mounted - time to try it out.
Afternoon all, are there any armorers that pin and weld?
Do guns sold at estate auctions in your state have to go through an FFL? How is it done?
Hey everyone, I’m based out of NWA and I’m currently working with a group to offer some classes. My question is what type of classes is everyone interested in? I think we’re starting with defensive pistol and carbine but what would you want to take, medical, long distance, CQB, shotgun? Would you be interested in just a weekend or if there were several courses over a week would you want to do that. Would hosting in LR be better?
Is it legal in Arkansas to sell a polymer 80 80% Glock frame in a private sale? It doesn't have any holes or anything drilled into it
Any local FFL dealers that cover online transactions being sent to them. I have found lists of FFL's but not sure if it's the right thing to do by just cold calling. I have a few things I would like to purchase, but who/where/how to go about it, I'm not sure. Clue bats and /msgs are welcome.
Does anyone know ranges where I can shoot steel targets?
I've been reading up and trying to get all the info I need as a new gun owner. My dad gave me his old FEG P9R for Christmas! Did I misunderstand or can you concealed carry without a permit? Also under the impression you do NOT have to notify an officer if you're concealed carrying without a permit in a vehicle. But you DO if you have a permit. Ultimately what I've gotten from what I've read is this is a constitutional state. You can open carry or concealed carry with no paperwork as long as you're of age and have no ill intentions.
None of my friends are into guns or kit that much but I am, looking for some like minded people in North East Arkansas to hangout with.
I’m trying to decide between a vortex razor gen 3 and an NF ATACR but I’ve never actually looked through either so I’d like to try them before spending that kind of cash.
Where in central AR stocks optics like these because I can’t find them???
Anyone here in the northwest area who goes shooting at Hobbs State Gun Range? Trying to meet more people to go shooting with.
Anyone know of a good gunsmith around Little Rock that does muzzle device pin and welds?
