I’ve been trying to look for a store to buy a rifle and most say they will not sale to under 21 . Please help me find either a store or a private dealer
Greetings all, I'm going to be arriving to my new house in Vegas next month and I was wondering if anyone knew if my current CCW (VA and UT) would cover me while I'm doing the bureaucratic shuffle if getting my ID and whatnot converted over to NV so I can take a NV class and do that paperwork dance..
Thanks in advance
Dose anyone know where to get a Mosin Nagant in Vegas and not get fucked for the price ?
Hello fellow Nevadans, I’m new to the thread and recently picked up two sets of binos that I want to take out more than just stargazing and hiking. Centralized in the Reno area and looking for some specific spots that aren’t just “go to the desert” type of thing. Would really appreciate any help!
Some really good deals on cans from silencer Co
Basiclly cost.
However, it's not hard for a high NFA transfer to destroy a deal.
Who has the lowest fees?
Thank you!.
Any of you ever go shooting near Fuller Lake South West of Reno? Trying to find a good spot to shoot paper with tree cover.
I was just wondering if my what the rule is on open carrying with a minor, and if that minor can open carry if they are present with a parent. Not sure if this is legal but thought I’d ask.
Does anyone know where I can get fingerprint cards that I can send to the ATF (preferably electronic) in the Las Vegas area? TIA
Today, after decades of going to Red Robin, I got a California expat of a hostess and, with the ultimate Karen expression of condescending superiority and a sneer, declared "Ugh, you can't have THAT in here."
Taken aback, I inquired as to when that came to be, considering I've been going there often and always open carry. Her response of "can't you just leave it in your car?" must have sounded better in her head because she gave a disgusted sound when we pointed out that we couldn't, because then it'd be unsecured and could be stolen.
She gave the liberal "huff" and I asked to speak with the manager. He, for his credit, was at least apologetic but informed us that it's a new policy in the last month.
One of the other hostesses commented "Since when? My dad was just here last week and he carries." She seemed just as shocked as we were. In any case, I thanked him for his time and we left to give another establishment our custom.
In a state such as ours with more people carrying than not, it's a bold move to alienate so many customers. My husband and I, for one, will not be giving them any more money.
Go woke, go broke. It's sad that a restaurant that advertised how proudly American they are is so ashamed of American heritage and culture.

I’ve been a firearm owner for three years now and I’m going to be taking my CCW class next week. Ahead of doing so, I was researching places where one cannot conceal carry. I saw some of the obvious one (ie schools, federal buildings, childcare facilities, libraries, etc). BUT…I did read something interesting that intrigued me.

Apparently, open carry is legal in state public buildings?
I’m conflicted on some of the verbiage regarding if a state employee can conceal carry in a state public building:
Two Important Exceptions Per NRS 202.3673(4)(c) Permittees who are employees of a public building may carry a concealed firearm in that posted building, however, NRS 244.364 (counties), NRS 268.418 (cities), and NRS 269.222 (towns), the state preemption laws, allow local authorities to make their own policies regarding firearms. So while a permittee may carry legally inside the building, they can be disciplined or fired if they carry in violation of their employer's ban on carrying firearms. Permission is rarely granted. For example, the Nevada Dept. of Administration has a curious policy, which basically could be considered no-yes-no, as far as employees possessing firearms.
If I’m reading this correctly, Nevada law would allow a state employee to conceal carry, but the employee could be disciplined or fired if someone found out? And I would signs or metal detectors impact this?
Totally open to asking my instructor next week, but just wanted to see what everyone thinks. I’m at work 40-60 hours per week, so it kind of stinks at the thought of not being able to conceal carry while on the job. Was looking at getting a conceal carry briefcase/bag.
Thanks!
Why do so many places have metal detectors? My friend wants me to go to a swap meet but they have security with wands, is there any license/certification I can get that I could bypass the metal detectors? I am military with a valid CCW if that helps.
Las Vegas. Signed up for a ccw class. Was filling out the paperwork but noticed the drivers license needing to be current residence. I live in an apartment but I use my parent’s house which I still get mail at because it’s more stable then moving from apt to apt and my DL reflects that.
How much do they actually care if my physical residence on the form doesn’t match my DL when giving them the paperwork?
I been browsing n looking around for a couple weeks now but im just not sure where to buy one at.. any recommendations are welcome. Also looking to purchase myself an ar lower to possibly build my own since thats always fascinated me n im looking to upgrade from my current p80 collection.
Does anyone know any stores in Las Vegas area that carry sog knives
My dad bought me the Spring Field Armory Hellcat Pro yesterday and got me a open carry holster. Is it ok that the pistol was just bought yesterday that he can gift me it and is there any additional paper work required for me to be able to carry it saying it was gifted to me by my own father. I’m 18 btw.
I live in Texas and my mom lives in Nevada, near Vegas. Trying to help her with her first purchase. In Texas we have a website that you can very easily purchase (legally) from a private individual. Usually there is a Bill of Sale but not alway. I was wondering if there is such a site in Nevada that is reliable. Also, my mom lives in the same house as my grandfather. He has a Felony from California from 50+ years ago. He is fearful of having a gun in the house. Would it be legal for my mom to own a handgun, that stayed in her vehicle. He is not on the approved driver list and has his own vehicles.
I was directed to your guys chat by others saying it’s a thin line between a straw purchase and a “gifted “ gun. My dad wants to gift me a handgun. We both reside in Nevada and with universal background checks i’m unable to buy a handgun privately. He wants to know if he would be able to purchase a handgun for me as a gift and gift it to me. And if so how would i get the gun in my name after the initial gifting
I know hans surplus but are there any other military surplus stores in Las Vegas
I have two major questions about guns in Nevada:
Everything helps, thanks!
Does anyone know about any gun shows going on here in Vegas or in Clark county this weekend? I'd be willing to drive a little bit but I don't want to go up to Reno.
Several Months ago I filled out a form 4473 and received a delay and then an Unresolved status. When I sent in the form to challenge the unresolved status I received a letter back saying the pings originated from two agencies. The California Department of Justice and a police department from a place I used to live. The concerning thing to me is, to the best of my recollection, I never had any contact with that agency. Granted back then I was a dumb ass, I was one probation for several years from some charges I later had expunged (the arrest was made by different agency in same county). But I am going through all of my legal records and I can't figure out why I would have come up in their system. I left that area a little more than 5 years ago and for some reason this appeared on there. I haven't had any contact with law enforcement for 6 years except getting pulled over for expired tags 6 months ago which I promptly handled, I only mention this because I assume I would be informed of outstanding warrant during a traffic stop. I went to the county website and searched myself and everything that showed up made sense. I know how to get a copy of my DOJ records, how would you guys suggest I handle this? Should I call the police department or should I just submit my CA DOJ records for the appeal process?
Hello, I am a CA resident looking to obtain a NV CFP, I stay in the North Summerlin area when visiting.
Can anyone suggest an approved CCW trainng course in the Summerlin area. TIA
I also read that non residents must apply at the Sheriff, but LVMPD handles CFPs for clark county, is this still true for non residents?
I am looking for the name resp. location of the specific shooting range (assumed to be in or near Las Vegas) shown in this video:

Maybe someone in this sub recognizes the facility's interior? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Recently moved to the Las Vegas area and I'm looking for matches to get involved in. I've seen some around Boulder City and the Silver State Practical Shooting club, are there any other good ones?
