Does anyone know of a shotgun range near Saint Louis that has rentals? I am looking to get into sporting clays and there is so much information online about different styles of guns it would be nice to get some hands on experience.
Looking for a reliable gunsmith in the Kansas City area, preferably South KC. I'm looking for someone that can do barrel threading. If anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully everyone knows state law forbids carry into a school or school function, being a crime without a recognized carry permit. My understanding is under MO state law that would cover bringing a gun onto school property or on property being used for a school sponsored function.
Not a lawyer, but my understanding of the federal GFSA is that a school zone is anywhere on school property or within 1k feet of school property (except for private property in that zone). I just want to point out that 1000 ft is a couple city blocks in some places, so in theory you can be doing innocent constitutional carry walking on a sidewalk or driving near a school and violate the GFSA if you don't have a permit.
This is probably a duh moment for rural people but in urban areas school grounds meld into the city, so you can easily be within 1k ft of a small school and not realize it.
Just in case anyone can't read: I have no desire in taking any weapon to a school. I incidentally go near-ish schools in the course of travel like any member of society. Yes i have a valid carry permit.
Anywhere in stl that would carry a factory 10/22 upper receiver? Or even the br-22 upper would work too
for aLmOst beginners.
Guns? I know guns.
380 Magnum? No idea the intricacies of that one🤷♀️
I am interested in selling part of my collection and I’m unsure if private sales are still legal in MO. I tried using google but it’s not real clear. Thanks in advance.
Looking for 50yd INDOOR range in the STL area to shoot 22LR, I'm only seeing 25yd INDOOR ranges but am hoping I'm mistaken.
UPDATE: After a fairly exhaustive search the only 50 yard INDOOR range I could find is near KC, looks like a nice place.
I’m trying to find the perfect fit for two pistols not listed on the sticky website. FTR I need to fit a new 2024 staccato C and a hellcat pro with an aftermarket comp.
Was chatting with a guy about an upcoming gun show, appears his account got banned. If you’re still on this sub hit me up.
Mods. Didn’t really know another way to find him. Sorry if this isn’t allowed.
Live in Missouri and would preferably like to sell within the state for ease of sale.
What’s the best way you guys have found to sell? Have a AR9 and 300 Blackout I’m trying to offload.
I stopped by a local gun store just to see what they would give me and they offered me less for the 300 Blackout than the optic on it was even worth.
Both guns would be sold as is, with ammo/mags.
Last year I went to rehab twice, both for about 35 days, it was out of state (Florida).
When I was there I was diagnosed with many many things, but most notably CPTSD, BPD, and Major Depressive Disorder.
I'm better now, but would I be completely disqualified from purchasing a firearm? Not sure how the background check works or how thorough it is.
Does anybody know if I can purchase at the age of 20? Or is it 21? New to the state
I'm currently in the U.S. on a work visa and am interested in purchasing a firearm for sport shooting. I came across the ATF exception that allows legal non-immigrant visa holders to buy firearms if they have a valid hunting license.
I'm curious if anyone else in a similar situation has successfully purchased a firearm this way. If so, what was your experience like? Were there any particular challenges or issues you encountered during the process?
I'm looking to use the firearm strictly for sport and hunting purposes. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Like others, I’m finding it a little challenging to untangle Missouri law when it comes to guns in cars. But if I’m understanding it correctly, the idea is that it’s legal to have a gun on your person, and if your person is in a car, then it’s legal to have the gun in your car. But really only because it’s with you. If you leave the car, the gun needs to go with you. Maybe not to get gas or something, but say when you get to your destination, or home, or whatever. And if the gun does stay in the car, it needs to be locked up in car, not just let’s say under the seat or something. Am I getting the gist here?
Is there anywhere in St. Louis I can purchase an 80% lower receiver in store, don’t want to ship one would rather pick one up in store
How would an individual who is an Illinois resident go about establishing a LLC/FFL/Gun Trust in Missouri? The main goal would be the acquisition and sale of firearms and firearm accessories. The ability to aquire NFA items would be a big plus, but not necessary. For the sake of argument, let’s assume commercial facilities have already been acquired in Missouri. My main concern is how go about licensing everything in the state of Missouri, while keeping Illinois my primary residence.
Just looking to see if I have any options around the area. Google wasn't much help.
Any lawyers or anyone know what missouri law/bill outlines what “lawful” possession of a firearm is. Rsmo 571.070 outlines unlawful possession, but I can’t find what defines lawful. Am curious because I am 19 with a ccw who carries.
So I am coming out to Cape Girardeau in August to see some friends. I have some guns that they would like to shoot and the local ish ranges have may or may not allow a 50 bmg. Conservation police say that the Apple Creek area allows them. And a few people say that they do not. Conservation law says it's allowed but the people that work the ranges say some do not.
So my question is. Is there anyone who lives around that area (an hour or so drive) that either knows of a place I can take a 50 bmg out and shoot it or has a place they own that will let me.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate making some friends dreams come true. And of course who ever helps is more than welcome to join us and shoot my rifle as well. For transparency and other concerns it is a Barrett M99 which the the bolt action 50 so slow and controllable rate of fire with ball ammo so no fire risk and an earth berm is plenty to stop the round.
Thank-you for your time folks.
Looking to ship from online stores to an FFL. Who has the lowest prices for transfers in the STL city/county area?
I know that to purchase a handgun privately you have to have it transfered at a licensed FLL dealer, but Can a Kansas resident purchase a rifle privately from a MO resident without having to go through an FLL?
I am so glad I moved across the river to this fine state. I have been able to purchase multiple threaded-barrel pistols plus any kind of rifle I want. I just wish there was some way we could remove certain items from the NFA list nationally! Does anyone else love living in Missouri?
We have tons of dynamic shooting events for handguns (USPSA, IDPA, Steel challenge, etc) but outside of x2 run n gun events, I'm not seeing very many rifle competitions on practiscore, let alone anything dynamic (IE not just shooting from a bench).
Anyone know of any clubs or venues that have rifle shooting comps in Missouri?
I'm in the CoMo area but will go anywhere in the state.
I'm interested in purchasing a Grand Power but I'd like to hold it in my hand first. Anyone know of gun stores in/around St. Louis that have any Grand Powers in stock?
I’m in the military and stationed overseas, I also have a Kansas ID. My home of record is in Missouri now. Is there anyway I’d be able to purchase a firearm while on leave in Missouri or am I shit out of luck?
Looking for information on the area in and around Warsaw. How’s the Sheriff and local government on gun ownership.
I have no idea where to sell my extra parts for my p320. I've got several oe parts from my full size 320 and a LXG/TXG grip module with a couple different magwells for the x frame and the AXG frame. Anyone have any suggestions?
