Where the tunnels are being dug, and it doesn't get cold, and every other thread now seems to get trolled. Where the river is brown and the traffic is tight and police will tase you if you're looking to fight.
Where George St holds the state's people of power and brothels are plentiful and charge by the hour. Where the dust settles for an Eastern coast rest and parking in the city is a hell of a test.
Where buses and bikes rule with a cold, iron fist and trains may as well not have a time-list. Where there's lockouts in clubs that cause more strain and hundreds of drunken louts stuck out in the rain.
Despite all its flaws, the fact does remain it's an awesome city, and is far from being lame.
Beautiful Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland. Please please please don't swim in the river.

Thick sliced bread
Any idea where I can buy some thick sliced bread? Supermarkets have only thick fruit toast. But, I'm looking for white loaf at least 1" thick. Have previously asked my bakery to slice a loaf thick, but it was barely any thicker than the supermarkets. I think its called 'cafe thick'. Any suggestions appreciated.

A good step in the right direction allowing people who have a prescription for cannabis and can drive if not impaired.
Good small step, but i bet if you get in an accident they will say you were effected by it otherwise the person wouldn't have gone up the back of you..
We do need these laws fixed asap, they just cant make something legal and not change the driving laws.
But driving while on Oxy or opioids or Diazepam is ok.
To many people losing there licenses for 6 or more months just because they had some in their system from days ago, has to change. Also remembering they also usually loose their jobs and then have a bad driving record and cant drive around like normal people to do business.
I know that not everyone will support it but think about the good it does for some people and how many people it has helped get off opioids and hard drugs and made their lives better, and alcohol does so much more damage and violence and addiction but is socially accepted as being ok.
