Hey there!
I’m a 32-year-old guy looking to make friends of any kind. My partner and I moved to Brisbane a few months ago, and I’ve been finding it a bit tough to connect with new people.
I’m into exploring, day trips, camping, theme parks, adventures, pubs, music festivals, and motorbikes.
Bonus if you love football! (Soccer)
I live in Richlands (southwest Brisbane) and would be keen to chat or catch up for a game of pool and a beer!
Hi, I’m 28M (gay however not overly feminine, I’m somewhere in the middle - not that it’s really relevant I guess lol) Long story short, I spent the first half of my 20’s building a career and taking life seriously, often missing out on events and fun, only to realise in recent years that’s not what life’s meant to be about.
So now I just want to honestly have fun and experience life. I moved to Brissy spontaneously 12 months ago and have met a few people but hoping to meet more that just want to laugh, dance and have a good time. 🫶🏼
Hi I'm looking to socialise more since I currently don't have any friends that live near me which is making me feel lonely and isolated. I do suffer from anxiety and depression so that also doesn't help when I'm feeling lonely and due to my anxiety I struggle to meet and interact with others.
I had a really rough year in 2024 I lost a lot and now I'm feeling more lost than ever without people around me to talk to. I live in the ipswich area I have tried to go to social game groups but I found it difficult to fit into groups that have already made connections.
I am mostly looking for fellow female friends, I enjoy video games, anime, manga, dogs and cats.
Hi All,
Anyone care to join for some social beach volleyball this Sunday 8.30 to 11.30?
Newish to town. 24 male south Brisbane. Message me and we’ll go from there
Hi ppl, is anyone going to see Steel Pulse this Sunday? I'm going solo, looking ppl to go . About me, 28M, I play bass and I'm from Peru.
Hey everyone Im a 43yr old active stay at home dad of 3 boys we moved to Brisbane in Dec from 3 yrs in Melbourne which before that lived in Canada .Since the kids are back in school I have time to try and meet new mates and try new hobbies I’m looking to see if any of you can recommend someone to teach me or know of surf school either north or south of Brisbane. Thanks
Hey just bored after a few beers at the local and looking for any connections.
Hi all,
Looking for friends to chat with who I can keep in contact with. Hoping for people around my age who want the same thing. I’m an introvert who loves chilling at home with a good movie or tv show. If your interested welcome to message me thanks 😊
going to Laneway Festival solo this year, has anyone done it before? Would love to hear your advice and experiences! Is it easy to meet people, or should I plan to just vibe on my own? Any tips for making the most of it?
Hey everyone! I’m a 19-year-old who’s recently moved to South Brisbane and am looking to make some new friends in the area. I’m starting uni in June and thought this would be a great way to meet people before that!
A little about me:
I’m a fan of gaming, especially RPGs and shooters like Overwatch and Marvel Rivals.
Love going to cafes and exploring cute, fun spots around the city.
I enjoy wholesome activities like arts and crafts, hot girl walks, cosplaying and hikes.
I have a dog who’s always up for adventures and meeting new people too!
I’m looking for like-minded people to hang out with, maybe grab coffee, go on some small adventures, or team up in some games once I set my PC up at my new place.
Looking forward to meeting you! ૮ ˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶ ა
About me:
Moved to QLD in 2021 from Canberra (gross, I know)
I just turned 39
Neurospicy
I am studying Psychology at University of Southern Queensland (mostly because social interactions and reading facial expressions is something that I have never been very good at!)
I love conversations that go from one tangent to another, if you are one of those people that needs a beginning, middle and an end to a story, you’re not going to find that here. Why finish a thought when you can start a more exciting one?
I am a gym addict. It used to be about the gainz, but now I do it so I don't murder people. Definitely have been self-medicating with that one for going on approximately 18 years
I am also first-gen south-east Asian woman who is un-married and child-free by choice, which if you know anything about that culture, is scandalous. I have never felt connected to the Indian community but I think unless you have lived experience, it is very hard to explain. Would love to connect with similar people!
Love love cats, but am actually scared of dogs. The barking scares the crap out of me, yes, even your little yappy one. It's not a dealbreaker, but will probably ask you to keep your dog away from me.
Not a drinker, my poor Indian genes do not care for my social anxiety :(
That's enough rambling, send me a PM if these things interest you!
PS: no creepy dudes plz
Hi all
Anyone know of any good shooting ranges in Brisbane where you can rent and shoot pistols?
Hey quiet night and wanting to chat to someone about anything hit me up
Hey what's up everyone. I moved from Geelong to Brisbane 2023, but haven't knew anyone new except housemate, colleagues & relatives...
Looking for new friends, would be good if we share any hobbies but I'm open to any new interesting things.
I've been playing guitars for 9 years, mostly playing fingerstyle songs, and some pop/folk songs.
I play most types of games except horror ones and those competitive ones.
English's not my first language, I speak Cantonese and Mandarin, plus English
Will appreciate either friends online or real life, I'm living around Sunnybank at the moment
Hi! Just looking for friends to hangout or something. I like playing mobile games (ML/HOK). I play computer games like Valorant as well but not so much. I go to the gym and I play basketball. I also play the guitar and can sing. Maybe we could jam! Cheers!

Hey, I’m a 32M love metal, hardcore, etc.
I wanna find some gig buddies esp with some of the sick shows that are coming over the next few months. Been a minute since I've been to a show but picked up a Knotfest ticket so keen to make some friends and have a good time.
Will occasionally inhale a beer, big into tattoos, music (no shit), cars, bikes and MMA.
Based in Griffin.
Random tidbit: BMTH have also covered Wonderwall and I suggest you give it a listen. Its unreal.
Hey there 👋
Ive spent the last year completely off all social media and have just been working, having very little social interaction all year. I really want to start socialising with people again but I'm kind of stuck in this anti social hole I dug and I really want to start getting out and meeting people.
I'm very open minded and open to anything, from grabbing drinks to some cool obscure hobbies.
I know me being 18 might be off putting to some people in this sub as I'm young but I've always gravitated to people older then me and can't stand most people my own age.
Please message me if you'd like to chat, or hangout, what's the worst that could happen? A few moments of awkwardness? I think we'll all live.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
Edit: forgot to add I'd be really open to going to any music gigs with people , really want to experience live music, from metal to country, bring it on.
Hey guys my wife and I have become pretty big wrestling fans over the last couple years and have brought tickets to AEW grand slam next month. Was just wondering if there’s anyone else attending on here would be great to find some friends who are also into it or even hang out before or after the show.
Hey everyone!
My son and I have recently moved to Brisbane’s northside and are looking to connect with like-minded people for meetups. We’re both into technology, mixed martial arts, movies, and good food. While my son isn’t super sporty, he enjoys shooting hoops, playing chess, and gaming.
We’re easygoing and keen to meet other dads and sons, but it’s not strictly limited to that—My wife is also looking to meet other mum's who may have a son around the same age. It would be great to find people around the same age range for more regular meetups, whether it’s grabbing a bite, watching a movie, playing games, or exploring Brisbane (since we’re still getting to know the city).
If you’re on the northside, even better, as it makes frequent catch-ups easier. Please DM if interested.
I’m 30F and a beginner at tennis. Literally just started over the holiday period but I’m picking it up quite well. I find it easier to improve if i’m playing against someone who’s better at it than me. Is anyone interested in being my hitting partner? I’m free on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sunday arvo. I live in bayside area and there’s a great tennis court here but also happy to drive and meet halfway. Let me know! :)🥰
Where do I meet you all at?
Another new year, another chance to find a person or two around me. I'm a big fan of online chatting whether through Reddit or discord or other.
Pretty large range of interests, and can talk about most everything except sport, of which I'm hopeless.
Typically like to do things more casual and relaxed rather than vigorous, think cooking with a wine, or movies, gaming, gardening or reading. I like to brew and distill.
I also enjoy fishing and am fixing up my kayak to get back onto the water in the next few weeks and usually like to head out at night.
I work in a fairly social and people-focused role and so often find myself hibernating after hours, but as the weather cools feel more and more like a beer or cocktail on an evening at a bar, or a coffee during the day.
I really appreciate people with depth and who can hold a conversation and have a similarly large range of interests.
I'm married and only interested in like minded friends.
If any of this resonates with you, please message and say hello!
Good afternoon all
Hope we had a great long weekend!
I’m (M29) and my mate (M29) have been playing golf for around 8 months now and are keen to get to know more beginner/intermediate golfers to play fortnightly-monthly. Our local is Meadowbrook, but we play all over Brisbane & Gold Coast.
Ideally we’d love to meet people at a similar skill level (handicap 20-25) but I’m open to meeting anyone.
We hit the range 1-2 times a week either at Vic Park or Meadowbrook as well.
Let me know if this is up your alley.
