Hi everyone, I just received an offer for psychological science at CQU and was wondering if anyone else has studied this course online? I will be working 4 days a week and reducing this isn’t possible sadly.
I created a set of playlists regularly updated with gems of chill downtempo music, deep and hypnotic electronic music, ambient and atmospheric soundscapes, cool modern jazz, nu-jazz, mellow lofi beats, soothing vibes, chill indie pop... Ideal backdrops for concentration and relaxation. Perfect for my study sessions. Hope this can help you!

Hi everyone,
We are undertaking a research project investigating romantic relationships as part of our Honours year at Central Queensland University. You are invited to participate in this completely anonymous research. We are seeking people over the age of 18 who identify as either male or female and are proficient in English.
The research will take about 10 to 15 minutes of your time. The collected data will include demographic information and your responses to the survey questions. You will be asked to respond to a number of questions on the screen; there are no right or wrong answers. Your participation in this research is voluntary, with responses to questions being optional (excluding screening questions: age, gender, and attraction). You can withdraw from the survey at any time by exiting the screen.
**At the end of the survey, you can opt in for the chance to win 1 of 4 $50 AUD Apple gift vouchers.**
This research aims to help us better understand dating behaviours, in particular, the personal differences in perception of attractiveness. If you would like to participate in this research, please click the link below:

Thank you so much to everyone who has participated already. You are all awesome!
I'm trying to apply for a cert 3 course, but it needs the results of the test, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out, I'll go through TAFE with my old Tafe student number, my CQU number, the password being password i get nowhere, but I can't click forget as it says no email is connected.
am I that dumb?? I just want to do the test
Looking at on-campus accommodation options at CQU Rockhampton. Can anyone please provide feedback on which are the best options? Also, what is the catering like, access to town, do the management run it ok, are there staff living on?
Can anyone who has already studied on this course please provide feedback on what it’s been like?
JCU Sub seems dead so thought I'd try here as the advice still works.
Hi everyone! Hope this post finds you well, I'd appreciate advice from students or anyone!
I am currently a university student (M 19) living in Sydney and plan on moving to Townsville early 2025, which will be dependant on me receiving an offer to study veterinary science at JCU.
Now 5 years is a long time to be stuck somewhere I have never visited, if anyone has lived here for a sizable period, how do you find Townsville? Is it lively, things to do? My time will be largely be stuck inside, studying but I do appreciate nature, wildlife and the outdoors in general.
I also mainly want some advice from anyone who has had to relocate to Townsville for various reasons. Do you have any recommendations in terms of finding accommodation? (Temporary or long term). Whether that be Uni dorms, share houses etc I'm open to suggestions. JCU is not the only Uni I have applied for but Is probably my first option. The offers for JCU give me very little time to find a place in time (10 days from accepting the offer) , so it will be stressful turnaround.
Living in the same place all my life, I haven't known much different and moving states will be a big change for me. I won't really know where I am or what I am doing, so honestly any advice is much appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

I'm a current student at CQU looking to study for the Master of Positive Psychology next year. I'm wondering if the tutorials are compulsory; as I notice from the 2024 timetable, some are on a Thursday night, which I can't do due to work commitments. Are they recorded, or do they have alternative options?
Hi all, I am a mature aged student looking to get into BE at CQU. Has anyone finished their degree here? What was it like? Anyone enrolling for next term 3 2024?
I currently work in mining and I’m quite keen on getting into engineering! Previously I’ve completed my bachelor of business from JCU. Loved it and in hindsight it was an easy degree.
I’ve spoken to Ben Taylor, the head of engineering. Seems like a great guy to talk to and learn from!
Would love to hear your opinions! Thank you.
I’m considering QUT, Griffith, WSU, and CQU. Since I’ll be covering my tuition fees myself, affordability is important, but I also want to focus on studying hard in my field (Computer Science). Any advice on which of these universities might offer the best balance of quality education and reasonable costs?
I'm interested in aviation and am looking for a uni. I found that CQU has aviation programs. (Flight Aviation and Airline and Airport Operations) What is the Airline and Airport Operation program? I think that's not related to flight attendance and ATC. I want to know what I learn, and what kind of job I have after graduation.
Next year I am going to be doing a Master of Teaching. I have offers from CQU and for USQ. I was just wondering if anyone could share their experience of doing their course online with cqu? Is moodle fairly straight for to navigate in terms of course content? How are cqu with granting extensions for family matters such as having sick children?
Hey! I was just wondering when interview offers come out for CQU med for QLD non-rural students, since interviews are in mid/end of November.
Thanks!
Hi I am in my 30 and wanting to change my career to medical field from hospitality recently.. I have enrolled Oral health, Medical imaging and Echocardiography now I have researched little bit about this uni and most of ppl saying negative... so I am not 100% sure.. my most interest is Echocardiography but not many information available out there.. so among these courses how is the uni life looks like.. is it real that students can't find the placement so holding up few years... also some times need to re-locating yourself to get it done?? just having concern about this uni cuz I am sort of late age to change something therefore, don't wanna waisting money and time... can someone who grad from these courses, could you let me know about uni and job market... sort of things
Thank you so much
Hey I'm a year 12 student and I have been looking into Universities to become a sonographer. I found CQU which has a 4 year course AND apparently gives placements too. I haven't been able to find any university like this, especially not in Victoria (near Melbourne). It almost looked too good to be true, however then I checked the reviews and wow... it is horrible. Apparently over 50% fail and placements could be delayed multiple years. What do you think I should do? Does anyone have any first hand experience in this course for CQU (melbourne campus preferably)?
I received my conditional offer in July (first week), and then I sent the documents to my agent on the first week of August to comply with the requirements. I have not yet received any response from CQU regarding my application, and it's September next week. I am worried if my application is going somewhere or not.
How long did you have to wait for your full or unconditonal offer?
Any response will be appreciated.
Hi everyone I am currently working as a chef (been 8years) and recently got a PR in Aus.. now I am considering to take another life career pathway which is medical field.
I am now doing hospital volunteer as getting me familiar in this field.. also planning to take Aged care course while I am working as a chef to do physical real job.
Now, planning to enter one of the uni in 2026..
I got ATAR rank score of 92.50 and applied Home environment adjustment scheme which depends gives me 6~8 more points on top of my ATAR.. so
my options are..
Taking one of Bachelor Nursing course among UQ, QUT, Griffith.. and then become a nurse then working and studying -> get master degree.
I saw Bachelor of Oral Health in CQU and I am eligible to apply with my status.. but not too sure if this uni is good enough.. wanna hearing out from anyone who studied in this uni.. and also after Bachelor what kind of job position I could get? and also if I really reached GAMSAT and my school score to enrol dentistry course how long would it take all studying to be a dentist? (I am turning 30 this year so... I have to be clear where I am going so..)
if everything is good with my ATAR progression... considering to take vision science from QUT.. I am not too sure how long whole progress will takes to be an optometrist.
I know it's impossible kinda.. but I wanting to know how to become an anaesthetist like how long does is takes and which courses should I taken to be a anaesthetist.
please let me know if someone knows these question answers thanks!
Hi guys, I’m in year 12 at the moment thinking of applying to CQU med program. I was wondering, around about what UCAT score do I need if I am a rural queensland applicant?
And also, how is the actual program? I haven’t heard many people talk about it because I think it just started recently.
Hello, I want to continue doing an IT course after taking a year work break from the Bachelor of IT (Co-Op) course. I would prefer to continue at JCU because all CQU was online it I hated it. But the JCU course only has a 63 ATAR to get in comared to 80 something at CQU. My question is, how much will this matter to employers when I have the degree, and should I therefore consider going to CQU instead.
Are my A-Levels grades enough to get into Bachelors of IT : Maths - 88% (A) Physics - 78% (B) Computer Science- 76% (B) Other Certificates: 1 month internship in a human rights company 2 honours certificate from school (Grade 9 & 10) 2 other from workshops
So this is regarding qctac. I’m applying for next semester in March and was wondering why qtac didn’t ask for my academic transcript? I’ve done a full year at a QLD Uni with very good results however my atar wasn’t so good a few years back. Do they just have access to my transcript?
Just curious if CQU would recognise completed units in an engineering degree if I wanted to transfer enrolments to finish my degree

Hello,
I am a Victoria year 12 student trying to apply but couldn’t start my application because my student number and pin are not correct? Has anyone else came across this problem? Would appreciate any help.
I'm really interested in CQU as I've heard good things from friends and relatives who have been there.
I was looking at their Internship Work Experience module that is available to most other degrees too and want to hear about your experience with this. I am pretty sure the uni sources the placements and this is a big factor in making my decision to study at CQU.
Please share your experiences with the Master of Engineering program at CQU. Would really appreciate your responses
Hey guys, I’ve been having trouble with unis left right and centre, all of them have ended up being terrible so far, or don’t have the course I want.
CQU I’ve heard minimal about, and the reviews online are so mixed it isn’t even funny. What’s YOUR personal experience? Bad? Good? Mix of both?
Online students is it good? Do you get real, actual support? Or have you felt left behind?
Thanks
I just got accepted to start my Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business, starting in Term 2 this year. I’m exited but also a tad nervous.
Can anyone who is doing/has done these courses pretty please recommend any resources/websites you wish you’d found sooner while studying?
I am away in the UK representing Aus for 3 weeks at the end of July, and while I plan on studying as much as I can while there, I know it won’t be easy, so my plan is to try and access Moodle as soon as it opens for my subjects to get myself ahead from the start.
I just want to be as prepared as I can be, since I’m a mature age student and feel completely out of my depth here, just running on hope and a lifelong dream.
Thanks in advance!
Do people actually graduate from this course?, I heard that it's a trap and they focus on taking your money. I wanna do this course but heard that they intentionally fail you or kick you out of the course before graduation. I genuinely curious to hear from someone who's actually graduate from this university with a bachelor of sonography.
